      You absolutely will. Bronco was again, the right rig at the wrong time. The value of the square bodies has jumped so much, we had to jump on this one. Its running and driving down the road and we won't be doing anything major until the F350 and Silverado are done

    I really like that you can map a curve with so many plot points if you have an odd shaped tank, that's something a couple of machine manufacturers still haven't figured out today.

    • @Onewheelordeal

      For real, a lot of cars it seems like the full gauge sweep just shows the 2nd half of the tank

    • @wobblysauce
      @wobblysauce 3 года назад

      Yep, you really don't need that much detail till 1/2 way, I am more of a trip person myself, I know how far I go per tank, and if I get less there is something wrong that I need to look at.

    When you're measuring such a small resistance don't forget to short your multimeter leads and subtract that resistance from the reading, it's not unusual for the leads to have an ohm or so of resistance which in this case could be 25% of your reading

    I really prefer physical needles over an LCD screen for the gauges, but I'm weird like that. Or maybe I'm just bored of screens, if it was some sci-fi tier holographic projection I'd feel like a little kid again watching a cool toy commercial on TV.

    • @abpsd73
      @abpsd73 3 года назад

      I agree, needle gauges aren't distracting you jumping around in your peripheral vision like digital stuff does. The digital is nice from a user customizable standpoint, but for the price tag I'll stick with analog gauges and a small LCD for other indications.

    Greetings sir and all. Not 2 B negative, but 2 clarify: U stated the Full level measured 4 ohms. Later in setting the display U said the displayed fuel kevel would increase with resistance. I find this contrary and the inverse 2 B correct. I do not work on 'Hitlers' much so I cannot affirm or deny my observation. By now I presume the correction had been made. Keep up the good work. 👍

      It can be either or, depending on how it is set up. It can show 0 ohms at full and x ohms at empty or it can show x ohms while full or 0 ohms while empty. All you have to do to verify the ohms at full or empty is test the resistance with a multimeter at the level wire when its full and then after some fuel is burned, test to see which direction it goes. You can manually actuate the float arm or take your readings from a physically full tank and empty tank to get accurate, true readings for the specific tank and sensor.

    Holley charges so much for these sub par screens. I have the 7” and wasn’t impressed, buggy, looks grainy. And the absolute least they could do is offer a quick gauge layout editor so you don’t have to drag and drop crap by hand on the screen itself. And before you say you can connect a mouse, I’ve tried several and they appear but once you start moving it around the cursor disappears. Junk
