If you go together - you need to leave together.
You need to watch the video
Totally agree
that's right.
You obviously didn't pay attention to the video.
No it's called being a big boy.... this is not a 10 year old....
Regardless of the how or why, he left a devastated mother behind that will never be the same. I know because I am living it to. Just like with me, there are no answers. It is horrible and you have to fight to keep from going insane. If not for God, I couldn't breathe.
The kindest thing we can do is pray for his family.
I'm so sorry for your loss. I can't imagine not having answers. You are in my Prayers 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Praying our Lord and Savior, Jesus, holds you closely 🙏💕🙏
My condolences🕊. I agree prayer🙏🏻
Your right, the best thing we can do is pray for the families peace. We are very sorry for your loss, thank you for sharing that.
I am with you in the same situation. It’s been 4 1/2 years. I will never be the same.💔. But you are correct my hope is in the Lord.
This kid looks like my 25 year old son. This story haunts me and just breaks my heart. 😢
So ur son is a loser too
Thanks for your efforts to debunk conspiracy theories. Thanks for your measured, reasonable approach... the kind of thing so lacking in today's world.
Stay sober… live longer.

You can drink responsibly. In moderation, no driving, and no fighting. Enjoy a nice dinner or chat with friends.
5 years and two weeks without a drink. Nothing good comes from drinking ethanol.
I'm so glad to hear Riley's friends did go look for him. I was oncerned by the news reports that they hadn't and feared they may have been guilt ridden as a result.
Thank you for presenting the rest of the story/tragedy.
This incident reminded me to never overlook bar drunks on the street. Have got the parking lot one covered.
Don't let your alcohol drink you :(
And don't mix it with any other substances.
Poor kid. He really was a good looking young man. May he rest in peace
What do looks have anything to do with it?
@@RayfordRaySiegelit’s just an observation? He’s very cute. I’d date him! 🤷♀️
Poor kid ? He made big boy choices not a kid over 18 !
My best friend looks just like him, but slightly balding and he doesn't drink and he is unhappily married @@tula1433
and if he was the opposite ?
I appreciate your level headed coverage of this tragic accident. I feel 'so' badly for his parents as early on after Riley's body was discovered and even before that, it seemed they were looking for other people/places to blame for Riley's accident. I hope they find peace.
Agreed
Thank you. I feel better knowing his friends didn't really abandon him. It was just a tragic accident.
Yes they did abandon and ditch him.
Your bookshelf is a curtain, that’s hilarious
Saw that! Funny!
I'm thinking it's a shower curtain, especially since the window next to him is small and up high on the wall.
The curtain is a book shelf.
Amazing that after all the investigation YOU uncovered the major unanswered questions that caused so many people to believe there had to be foul play involved. Thank you!
There was foul play.
Alcohol is the ruination of so many lives. Rest in peace, Riley.
Nah, it's the person who chose it and abused it that ruins so many lives including their own.
@@alexialira3839 That's what I mean. Alcohol is just as bad as drugs. It's legal so people don't react as harshly to it but it can be lethal.
400,000 alcohol related deaths in the USA a year.
@@alexialira3839absolutely agree with you 100%
Note that the allegation that he was "verbally aggressive" is an allegation, not necessarily a reality. Plenty of false allegations are made to justify a decision.
A true crime researcher got the call log for the night and there was no call for that red truck with the broken window. Austin TX still says they don't have a crime problem after ten people have ended up in the downtown river in twenty months.
@@WitnessingTyranny: Perhaps they have a substance abuse problem?
Exactly, we can't hear what he was upset about. Did the bar not give him his card back? Was he charged for something he didn't order? I don't care if this guy wants to call me a conspiracy nut but many did Riley wrong including his bros and he ended up in that homeless camp and that was his end.
This is why when you go out you make sure your in control of yourself, it is no one else’s responsibility period
🙄Must be great being so perfect you can judge a young person like this and everyone else on earth, I’m sure.
@@dilberta6046 think as you may
Sometimes we make mistakes and could need others to tell us or guide us. If they can drink in a group they should be for each other.
@Dr.Pepperlady no but someone should have accompanied him.
In a sense your right but it’s also our responsibility as a society to teach younger people the dangers of drinking
This is just my off the wall theory but perhaps he had to "relieve himself" , stepped off the path, lost his balance and fell in the river, he could have tried to swim and the boots and pants came down while he flailed around, or depending on how deep the water was, if he tried to stand up and his boots got caught in silt, that could have pulled his boots off. This is just a theory of mine but no one else has voiced it so I thought I'd put it out there.
I thought the exact same thing.
I assumed he slipped down the bank, too. I don't think any foul play was involved. He probably lost his credit card undoing his pants, then slipped into the water and being so intoxicated, he couldn't help himself.
Yes, boots that fill with water get real heavy. Probably feet just pulled right out.
I’ve always thought the same thing except the silt. Good point.
Pat Brown criminal profiler pointed out immediately how any young drunk men drawn becausecthe pee in rivers, off docks etc, and fall in due to unsteadiness. She ex0lained the water patterns and how they remove pants and boots. No 0nr listened because the focus was on foul play.
Many rushed to assumptions about Riley’s friends. Luckily they were not on trial.
It’s important to read the facts until you comprehend what did and did not happen…. True friends do still exist.
Okay. I've got it. When going out, always wear clean underwear AND a belt.
I'm pretty sure I can see a belt in that picture. There's a buckle and everything
Thank you for approaching this young man’s unfortunate accident with logic & facts. ✌️💚
It's a sad situation. I feel bad for the family. But you can't blame bartenders or the bars. Riley order the drinks and drank them. He was just like any other adult. He was out to have a good time and unfortunately ended tragically.
Of course he's accountable....college drinking is epidemic
Some think it's the whole point of college, apparently.
Thank you for the update.
First thing I notices was the empty belt loop.
Glad to hear confirmation the Group in fact was trying to locate Riley.
R.I.P.
Feel for his family, but what a shame.
I always hated that everyone blamed his friends for not helping when this first came out. Turns out, they tried. Either way, dude was an adult
Yeah but a good friend doesn’t let you leave alone. My friends and I would go to the bars/clubs we would come together and leave together or someone would always be with the other if one was acting up or something. Doesn’t matter if you are an adult it’s just being a good friend and a good person
@kamikazekid94 Did you not even watch the video? His friends didn't even see him leave. They tried to find him later, but the drunk dude went the wrong way. Quit blaming the friends 🙄
@@alabamatrixie7379 no I did.
@kamikazekid94 I had several different friends leave me behind when I drank. It wasn't just my friends, people who drink a lot typically don't have the best morals. I am no longer friends with those people anymore. Looking back I thought they were friends, buy they were actually pieces of shit.
His friends probably pressured him into drinking so much
Great work ! So sad ! Praying for his family
Prayers for Riley's family.
Everyone bashes his friends but it turns out they did everything they could to find him.
No they didn’t do everything to help him. Someone should have taken him back to the hotel. They let him leave alone. That’s where the tragedy starts. Nobody gave a damn about him when they tossed him out.
@@Kathy-yn3pgmaybe they walked in the other direction towards the hotel while Riley walked in the other direction. It’s time to stop vilifying these young men.
No it's not @@andyjulia
@@andyjuliathe news report says the friends returned to hotel around 1:30 am didn’t report boy missing til that evening and went to a frat ball while Riley was missing in those early hours. That is beyond me,
None of the pictures shown so far do not show if Riley wore a belt, necklaces, or a t-shirt on. Thanks for the update.
How was his bank card on the ground but he fell in the water....
Probably in his shirt pocket and flew out as he fell.
He always put his card back in his wallet in every surveillance footage shown so I don't believe it was ever in his shirt pocket. That card was planted.
@@notfree2899 I believe Riley died by accident. Perhaps his wallet fell out at some point, one of the homeless people could have picked it up, threw out the card and kept the cash. We may never know. I just hope his family is holding up. I couldn’t imagine losing a child let alone so tragically.
@@andyjulia I'll never believe it was an accident. Somebody or a few somebodys did something to him, I hope the truth comes out.
@@notfree2899 Someone in the comments noticed it! I was going to ask the same question. Someone knew he put the wallet back in his back pocket. The reason why the pants were missing...
People criticizing the friends need to stop it. We weren't there so we don't really know anything. Also, when you've been drinking you don't behave like you would if sober. Time doesn't seem as long, situations seem different than they are. It's bad enough that their friend is gone. They don't need to be attacked on top of it.
If I go drinking I do NOT expect my friends to babysit me. Just so yall know
ok? most people care about their friends
Exactly, who are all these 🤡 s in the comments? At least for men, it is very common - especially when younger to go out drinking with friends and everyone ends up at a different place at the end of the night
Thanks for the facts! I love facts and truth!
If the family is watching, I want to say that I always thought it was so wrong of you to blame his fraternity brothers for not doing more. For not coming to talk to you. Go talk to them.
Thank you! I have been wondering why he was kicked out. He seemed like such a mild mannered person (although I don’t personally know him).
Sorry, he had cowboy boots on too. He had no water in his lungs. Lots is still suspicious 😢
Autopsy does show water in his lungs. Link to autopsy is in this creator's prior video.
Your shelves are trippy. Very unique😊
what kind of a friend doesn't look after their friends. I was always the damn babysitter of mine.....Riley reminds me of my grandson. What a terrible loss.
Jezz people, stop drinking.
Well, you gotta stay hydrated. You can't live on food alone. Alcohol isn't necessary, though.
*geez
@DuffyGabi, Wow. Judgemental much? Have you never been young and free? I know I was. Doesn't make one a bad person. Unfortunately bad things happen to people who drink and party. But guess what? Bad things happen to people who do not as well.
God rest his soul. You have to be pushing it a bit to get booted from a bar. I have no idea what happened here aside from media reports but these bouncers are big dudes who I don’t want trouble with and don’t want to know. Rest in peace.
It’s good to know his friends were responsible and tried to find him.
Steve busted his ass on this case. For sure.
Not blaming his friends and my heart goes out to his parents, family and friends. I don't drink, but if I did and was drinking too much, I would hope the few and true friends I have, would leave from an establishment when I leave.
It was a horrible tragedy that could happen to anyone. RIP, Riley. ❤
Yeah..Drunk and decides to swim..Negative!!!..
I have always wondered this!
Very sad…
His 4th bar. so he drank at least a 12 pack you gotta figure,.. verbally agressive with staff.. explains it all.,
They also likely drank in the hotel before going out, very common among college kids
Turns out he was just another rude and arrogant frat boy
glad to hear his friends looked for him.
I blame those terrible excuse for “friends”. Letting your very drunk friend leave alone in a strange town is a d*ck move, no matter how you split it.
Wow
that pic shows an empty belt loop, his other hand is in his pocket so there's not much waistline being covered by his shirt at any rate,
if you want to argue that you cant tell if he's NOT wearing a belt THEN you cant argue that he IS wearing belt,
the FACT that his pants were removed by the river current IMPLIES he's not wearing a belt,
The river may not pull pants off just like a human being does.
He could have unbuckled his belt to take a leak and fell into the water
I got kicked out of a house party and all my friends came with me and didn't make me feel bad about it.
I wish parents would not drink, and teach their children the same. My parents did not drink and they taught us to hate alcohol and its effects. Also, the college I attended, didn’t allow alcohol use among its students. It was an expelling offense. So thankful for it.
I didn’t need any of that to drink responsibly. As a matter of fact, my friends who had parents that were strict about not drinking, were the ones that ended up with the most problems due to drinking.
@@airadaimagery692 That happens sometimes too.😔
My parents were alcoholics. I just grew up seeing all the drunk stuff they did. Made me see I didn't want to be an alcoholic.i did drink when I got older. Just never liked it like most people.. I do like to smoke weed tho
But that was before now its different !!!they all have alcohol party all the time!!
@@marietorp7175 No, it’s still that way where I went.
Leave the guy alone.... RIP Riley
I don't know how they think that isn't a belt.
He got gobby with staff and got kicked out. Nothing sinister or suspicious with that.
Young, naive, couldn't handle his liquor.
I believe he was not used to of familiar with wearing heeled boots.
I also believe the boots were not sized correctly for his feet.
That is why he was clumsy and If his pants came off in the river then so did his boots.
He probably went over to the riverbank to take a pee and slid in.
The river was high that night and farther up the bank then what we all saw in all the videos.
Series of events all led up to him going missing.
That's a plausible scenario - he was probably already a little spooked over getting tossed, and then not sure of his location - not wanting to catch the attention of police - and when he finally got to a place to wizz - we all have to wizz at the most inoperatune time , you lose sense of where you're at -
I had rather a bar call the cops and had my kid locked for public drunkenness and them still be alive as opposed with a lesson learned, than dead in a ditch or a river in his case because he so drunk he didn't know where he was at, or which way to go to get home, in a town he isn't familiar with. Truly sad.
@1:37 SF investigates isn't that the same one that was on the Kylie Rodney case in Truckee California
@1:43 I beg to differ with him because I saw a black car most probably tailing him😮
Okay pretty weird is that regular for a bar to send a text alert with an image to its other employees that a patron was being rude to staff that seems a bit over the top unless you've got a little coordination going on inside to possibly have them followed outside
There is no way his pants got pulled off by the river especially if he had his shoes on I don't think they would come off like that anyways that would take some pretty special circumstances
Yep
@@wisdomsleuth77777 That text is called blacklisting. Furthermore, the bar should have known he was with a group and inform the group he had to leave.
A lot of ppl are assuming this poor dude was shit face drunk. Yea he had been drinking but he had enough sense to put his card back in his wallet each time and it looks like he is even disputing his bill at one point towards the end. I think thos is were the argument begins and he probably does say something shitty. I would too if they charged me wrong and then just said too bad we are not gonna change it. And then when he says anything back they just have you thrown out. That actually could be a nice lil theft ring and way to make some good money that's a huge bar. I still think this smells. I'm still not convinced this was a true accident yet. Not just yet.
Bars do that shit all the time.
If too intoxicated to stay in bar, too intoxicated to leave unattended.
The shirt could be covering the belt.
You can literally see the belt loops.
@@JulezwithTrueCrimeReactions,
We know that it can be seen literally. Duh! It's implied, because it can't be figuratively seen.
You can -literally- see the belt loop.
Reportedly drowned but had no water in his lungs, how does that work?
I think michelle after dark did a video explaining the autopsy results.
@@sheelfjohnson Several investigators have. David Paulides of Missing 411 also discussed it.
It’s called dry drowning. It's caused by a laryngeal spasm, or reflex, that shuts off the airway when someone is struggling to breathe underwater. This prevents water from entering the lungs, and the injury is caused by asphyxiation and lack of air.
@@iloveitUbet I call it BS!
@@jjgson69 ok call whatever you want, go research for yourself, I didn’t make it up.
If you zoom in on the picture you can see the belt loop and no belt
My eyes just aren’t that good 😂
I didn't even have to zoom in for that. And that's watching it on my phone, vertically.
Nashville is a town that not only relies on alcohol consumption, it openly and heavily promotes it.
They have roaming, motorized bars that go around town while people consume alcohol.
I've even seen a wagon of people on a "vehicle " that is actually powered by people pedaling while drinking.
It is also a haven for derelicts and addicts who freely roam the club area begging off drunken consumers.
You need to be on your best awareness in Nashville, getting into a drunken stupor may find you in a bad place.
Now if it was just not known WHAT was “the commotion” heard with a homeless guy by a homeless couple in the dark below street level, exactly where his credit card was found and seconds before all his electronics went silent 🤔
Does it matter why? Poor guy died!!! Please allow me to extend my condolences to his family
Alcohol shouldn't be so accessible. You can walk in any reastraunt and bar and get tanked. If you get tanked accidentally nobody helps you they just remove you from the bar. Absolutely disgusting. Alcohol is just as bad as fentanyl. You cant convince me otherwise.
I still think he was roofied. The whole situation was mishandled. 🤨
none of that was found in autopsy so sorry that's not possible
@@christinametal1071 and falling down the bank into the river is? no signs of foul play, that would include marks on the body that surely would have come with him stumbling down the bank among heavy brush and rocks. He didn't have a leisurely stroll down the bank to go pee in his condition

Sometimes difficult to raise them even when married to their father, but I'm so proud of what they have accomplished so far.
As far the world we live in today, they will always need someone to be there for them.
He said Blake Shelton was better.
Sad. Just a list of bad decisions that led to this tragedy.
Bar is responsible regardless when you serve alcohol that makes a person not coherent enough to get back home or hotel. He was new to the area and very drunk.
I’m still trying to figure out if the homeless guy had Riley’s shirt on .. then returned it to the body but kept the pants and shoes and pushed body in river to dispose of it? It’s just too weird if two people had that same shirt
At the very least his friends should of called him a cab back to the hotel to make sure he back safely it would of taken a matter of the same amount time to walk to bridge as would of been to get a cab. He probably was an inexperienced drinker he doesn’t strike me as a huge partier or bar goer
The video explained that the one friend that was with him went to find the others. By the time they got outside they couldn’t find him. Where were they supposed to tell the cab to pick him up?? This is an awful tragedy. So sad that so many young people lose their lives due to alcohol and drugs. But, it sounds like his friends did try to help him.
A couple of things I noticed when looking at the videos...
He made purchases at the bar several times alone when the group was out of his sight.
He was only socializing consistently with two friends out of that group. Some of those drinks he purchased might have been for the group he was with.
The video proves he is not as much of a partier, but was there because he wanted to be there for his friends.
A bartender who is wearing the color green is serving him the MOST. Then, the server changes to a male wearing gray.
A truly loyal man. Consider his girlfriend was a very lucky woman as he is very loyal being that much under the influence.
You can't see if his belt was there or not in that picture
I feel like he was okay walking past the cop! I don’t understand how just a block or so later he fell in the water. Foul play. I believe tourists are being given something and followed and robbed. Happens all over.
Drugs and alcohol imagine that !
KID ?HE WAS ADULT .WANT TO TREAT HIM AS A KID WHERE WAS HIS PARENTS
Well that settles that.
It has taken four months to find out this information? Verbally aggressive with the staff? Something is still not right with this whole thing, imo. 😏
You need it to be foul play, don't you?

Some of y'all have never had to deal with Nashville's mentally ill homeless population and it shows
Traces of THC, did he take, or slipped ? Most likely the reason for his out of character behavior.
