This teaching is contrary you the other tithe video. A long time ago. Times are tuff and people and ministries need 💰 thus this new teaching. We don't have to tithe to any ministry. Its not torah. But we should be helping the poor the orphans and widows- That is Abba ❤ - to help them.

@@statutesofthelord from what I understand, the church uses this scripture to speak of the tithe. However this scripture was a rebuke for the Levite priests I believe. Look at verse 14. It did not profit them to keep Elohims ordinances. Then verse 18. This who thought in this way were wicked....... This verse in Malachi is not a reference to us about tithing. Tithing was done unto the Levite in the Temple in Jerusalem. People gave thier first fruits of thier crops and from thier herds as tithing as Yahweh commanded.... The example of New Testament Church giving was in Acts. Each gave to the brethren as it was needed.... Today, the church institution, does not see them importance of the Old Testament. But they do however use it to thier advantage you point out the tithe. However, out of context. Today we are to give free will offerings, and to those brothers and sisters in need. Remember James 1:27 says pure religion is this, to visit the orphans and widows in thier affliction, and keep oneself unspotted in the world... The New Testament believers in Jerusalem were under heavy persecution and Paul was collecting what believers in Yahshua could give to those who were being afflicted.......
Give as you are lead to give. However do know that it is a heart issue not a law issue. Or a must to do in the church institution of today.. the New Testament Church met in homes and met each other's needs. They were not giving to keep up a building and pay one man too lead..... Gifts were given to each member of the body by the Holy Spirit to minister to one another as a group effort. True togetherness..... The single man leader came out of the reformation from the catholic idea of a pope. This excludes and quenches the work of the Holy Spirit thru the body to each other, as was our New Testament example....... I know I went on here. Oops. I hope this helped a little. It's been a long day!

@@Yah1stp2nd36 Thank you J1 for clarifying your previous post. The Bible is to be taken as a whole. What is commonly called the "Old Testament" today is what Jesus called the "Scriptures". All of the Scriptures are holy, and to be kept, except for what was expressly prophesied to end at the cross, as written in Daniel 9:27 "And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make [it] desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate."
No animal sacrifice can possibly add to the value of Jesus' infinitely valued blood, so they, and oblations, are done away with.
Everything else, however, including tithing (Statute), 7th day Sabbath (Commandment) etc. are still in force today, whether most Christians choose to keep them or not.

The message that i concluded from this video (and please do correct me if needed) is that though OT Tithing is no longer possible to do perfectly as they did in ancient Israel, The NT still highly emphasizes the importance of supporting ministries and helping them out monetarily ( though a strict 10% 'tithe' is no longer a requirement)

Tithing is 10% of your crops only. It’s not financial, its food related. It’s only meant for Levites and the Greek text of the NT absolutely doesn’t support the Ecclesiastical Conspiracy of Church hierarchy positions. Deacon, minister, and Bishop are horribly mistranslated terminologies in English and other languages I have seen. This has been done specifically to create a Church hierarchy that doesn’t exist according to the NT!
So should we tithe? Absolutely not. Should we give to members of our congregations in Christ who are having hard times? Yes.
Should we have oratory style preachers? Not always. There’s usefulness for it, but the congregation of Christ is supposed to be meeting less formally and having conversations and Bible studies together. It’s not supposed to be an hour and a half service, it’s supposed to be how you spend all Sabbath day as a family in Christ. The New Testament Congregation has no need of a hierarchy, period, we have Jesus

It is being a cheerful giver to those who need it. The thing is this in today's world. In rural poverty-stricken places, that don't have clean water or in a famine, what money can they use to tithe when they don't have it? Most American-style teaching of tithe is based on Greed and not on giving, and sharing resources. Acts 2 they shared everything money isn't attached to this. A person that needs a place to live, food, clothing, job isn't money but resources. Be a giver. Give out of Love, Want and Need. Some people give out of wealth and to get a tax exemption this is how the rich get richer. The real problem is many people get into a Ministry position to get money. A Minister can have a regular job.

  • @danielherron3748
    @danielherron3748 3 года назад +2

That was very well done! This should be taught throughout the internet, this should be taught in every Church! The reason being is, look at all of The Minister's how they live, not only overweight, but obese, living in big fancy houses and fancy cars and SUVs and their children are all fat! Living high on the hog and eating everything in sight just because they are in Ministry! Shame on them! But there are a select few that have the spirit of Christ in sacrificial Ministry that do not ask for tithes and offerings from the people who work hard to give them a better life just for preaching something they got for free! This country will be severely judged for that, IE the prosperity movement! The Paula White, Kenneth Copeland, Kenneth Hagin, Joel Osteen, TD Jakes, Creflo Dollar, on and on we go! Every Church in America makes people feel embarrassed if they do not tithe to their well-being. They should not go to those churches, they should be in Ministry to serve not to be served like Jesus did. If you're going to start a Ministry you shouldn't depend on other people to finance you , as you freely receive so freely give! I'm just saying, I love your ministry and I will give one day, and it may shock you, but I believe in what you're teaching is true. I'm struggling, just like everybody else, but I give to the poor in Jerusalem through the international Fellowship of Christians and Jews, mainly the Holocaust Survivors and the food pantry for those who need food. I know the Lord is coming soon, just look at Daniel 9:25 the peace treaties that are being signed by President Donald Trump, are going to be confirmed by the Antichrist who comes in on a peace platform after the Rapture of the church! That's why we need to be obedient to the scripture, to pray for the Peace of Israel, because it hastens the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ Yeshua hamashiach. As in the days of Noah and the days of lot he will call us out of tribulation like it says in Revelation 3:10 keep you from the hour of Temptation that is coming on the face of the Earth. I pray for the perfect will of God to be accomplished that he may Reign and Rule Supreme and show us his word and work his will and this Earth. Baruch Haba b'shem Adonai. Your friend Daniel a follower of your ministry, soon-to-be a contributor as I am waiting for my inheritance, and in the United States the stimulus check. God bless and keep up the good work.

Giving as I've seen it for today is simply to further the cause of the gospel at home and to the furthest ends of the earth. This seems perfectly possible to do if we are focused in our giving and led by a vision for God's kingdom.
One thing we do know is that the need is great, especially outside of the west, where many many millions of Christians don't have the basics in material needs and spiritual ones either.
There are different types of tithe we are told,we'll yes and there is many different ways of giving in a practical sense too,--time, gifts and talents.
Over the years I've raised much support for causes giving aid just by working with different Christian charities, sending aid and bibles and resources through appeals etc.
We can make a bigger difference than we think in this world as we ask the Lord to open the doors for us.This will give much joy and enthusiasm I've found in reaching a lost world

That is correct.... Tithe was for the Levites. It was first harvest, fruits from what I understand.... now we I've to each other, Acts being the New Testiment standard. So that none in the body would do without. Not to preserve a building or pay a mortgage. House churches was the standard. And everyone ministered to each other as the spirit led with gifts given. The one man, pastor, was put in place after the pope. The leaders were elders, bishops, and deacons, that devoted the selves to prayer and scripture. It's a far cry now from what the church body was intended to be...

Interestingly, I have a non-tithing testimony..I know that sounds crazy, but it's true. I am still blessed every day ever since I stopped tithing! One day when I read Hebrews...I realized that Jesus became the last perfect Tithe for me on the cross..I broke down crying...
The Best of Heaven's first fruits was spent for me...How could I then dare to revive a law which God had ended through the death of His only Son? He ended tithing for a reason.

I believe you're right but it's such a paradigm way of thinking among so many Christians I'm not sure they could ever shake it. I believe the one thing God wants to get across though is ones should reach out not be being compelled to but to seek more freedom...as an example is one open to the possibility that God might ask one to give away their whole paycheck, maybe not all the time....but hey...just to see what you would do. Could one believe for God to bring it in to them. Just talked to one lady today who visited Jamaica. Quite a story. She gave 1OO dollars to a poor family there. Didn't have the money hardly to do it...then walked down the street and the wind blew 500 dollars to her feet. True story. Doesn't mean God would ask someone to stretch out their faith this way BUT maybe an odd time he would just to see what you're trusting. I agree with you though. Give in the way that 2 Cor 9 explains.

While the overall principle of taking care of YHWH people is good, to apply the tithe to those leading American style ministries that do nothing to actually lead people in their walk before him. The catholic style service is more of attending a show or concert and paying for it is like paying for the show. When a group of 100 or more gather and only 8 to 10 determine the entire service, songs and words spoken, while the rest sit and watch the show...this is harmful and not instructed by YHWH. The levites took care of either the temple/tabernacle or the sacrifices offered by the people according to Torah. That happens not in man made temples today. To give to such ministries is to enable such to continue. What Paul urged was giving for tjr needs of the saints and providing for those that took care of such matters. This teaching far misses the point and one further aids others in continuing the churchianty heresy. While I financially support 119 ministries among others I would never again give to some one calling themselves a Pastor because he serves at some man made temple and altar. This teaching is unfortunate 😕

My main point of agreement with you is that many modern day ministries are worthless and deserve no support. We would in fact be funding disinformation to do so. I would also like to say that there really is no biblical support for any church offices or hierarchy in the new testament so therefore there is no priesthood other than individual believers to tithe to, but if a church hires a man to perform certain services they ought to pay them and if someone partakes of that fellowship they ought also to partake of it's responsibilities.

Paul was careful not to make it a compulsory exercise (because of these constraints) but in the line of not muzzling ones ox you can do your giving as your heart pleases and not grudgingly 2 corinthians 9:7-9. I didn't see this teaching emphasise this aspect of Paul's teaching. It shows biase and change in your previous teaching about tithing. I think giving should be when pleasing, able and willing so that it will be giving cheerfully until we are able to have all the tithing structures.

@michaelmerck7576 I don't do money tithing, but I give without grudging to the poor and the widows, Deuteronomy 14:28-29 & Deuteronomy 26:12 .
However, you can exchange your tithes for money with the conditions mentioned in... Deuteronomy 14:24-26 (festival tithes). Remember, also that Abraham tithe the spoil of a war to Melchizedek, and this was not agricultural tithe. Although he still eventually gave the rest of the 90%, we are not clear why the bible had to break it down that way by reporting the 10% and the 90% instead of saying 100%. However, Melchizedek blessed him after he had given the tithe, which was significant.
However, all these tithes had specific location, the temple (where the ark of the covenant resided and where YHWH dwelt, where YHWH has put His name) to be taken them and to specific people, the Levites, a tribe of the sons of Israel. Are these still applicable today? They were not applicable since 70AD. So, Paul encouraged Christ-like living people to give generously, with grudging so that the ministry can grow. Tithe may not be seen as only agricultural tithe, bro.

Thank you for this teaching! What we do with our money is directly correlated to where our heart is, and many are looking for ways not to give to the work of the Father for some selfish reason. I'm always surprised to see 'believers' who think they have no obligation to care for those that they glean from, as they would never expect a restaurant or retail store to give them what they need physically for free, but expect ministers to do that very thing. Another great job! Shalom!

Israel was a Theocracy when the tithe was established. The tithes from the tribes paid the Levites (who had no inheritance) and worked in the temple and performed in a sence, some modern day government work. The Levites in turn , who in-turn used their income to pay the Priests (son's of Aaron). During Jesus's time on earth era, only the Jewish remnant was recognized and it was difficult times trying to run the temple while also paying taxes to Caesar. What I was hoping to hear from this teaching was how the Theocracy practices play a role in many modern day governments in the form of taxes. I do fully support paying money to ministries that preach. Just as the gentile converts in N.T., they need to abstain from a few things, but they would continue to go to the synagogues and be taught more and more of God's word. If those synagogues were not there, it would be difficult to learn all Gods' ways. Look at all the confusion we have today from the error of dispensationalism.

"While it is true that Priests serving in the Tabernacle, and later the Temple, could eat of the grain and meat that was brought as sacrifices, it must be noted that this was only for the Priests who were serving at the time the sacrifice was made.
How often were Priests serving in such capacity? According to 1 Chronicles 23-24, the Priests were divided up into 24 divisions (Luke 1:8), with each division serving about two weeks out of each year. For the rest of the year, they had to provide for their own needs and that of their families.
But how did they do this?
While the Levites were not given an inheritance of land in the same way the other Tribes of Israel were, they still were given portions of land around various cities scattered throughout Israel. Numbers 35 indicates that they were given 48 cities throughout Israel, and the land around each city extending out from the city walls for 2000 cubits, which is about two-thirds of a mile (cf. also Joshua 20-21). They were to use this land for their herds and crops.
If the Levitical priests were only serving in the Tabernacle (or Temple) two weeks out of the year, and the rest of the year, dwelled in one of the 48 cities scattered around Israel, what did they do in those cities? The same thing everybody else does in cities. They lived, worked, and raised their families.
One thing they were not doing was living off the tithes of other people. After all, the tithes were only brought to Jerusalem during the times of sacrifices and feasts.
So the Levites worked in their cities and the surrounding fields. Some were farmers, while others were herdsman. A few were potters, or weavers. Every trade that could be found in any other city would also be found in a Levitical city.
These were not cities filled with a bunch of Bible teachers who sat around reading the Bible and waiting for people to bring them food and meat. No, they worked and earned their living like any other person in the country, except when they had to leave their job for two weeks out of every year to serve in Jerusalem. At those times, they ate from the sacrifices and offerings that people brought."
There should be no such thing as a fully supported Levite nor "elder/pastor". A fully supported missionary who is traveling around unable to find work can and should be supported just like the apostles who were missionaries NOT stationary elders of an assembly of people, and even though missionaries had a right to receive support, Paul labored himself to pay for all expenses (except one occasion).

He could have only been asking for offerings, as he did for the poor believers in Jerusalem. If we are going to tithe to our pastors, etc. today, then we should be giving them food for that is what the tithe was; it was never money. Money brings with it a whole lot of problems, and maybe that's why the LORD used agriculture as the tithe. A person can only eat so much and the rest has to be given away to the poor. We MUST tithe. That is our part. We tithe to honor God and we tithe to keep our blessings overflowing.
Like the loaves and fishes miracle, our tithes show God that we believe in Him, and are wanting to help Him win souls. He doesn't need our portion for Him to do anything - God doesn't need anything from us to exist. Rather, our tithes show our respect for our God. It is our part of the teamwork.
We belong to God's family, and we pitch in to help the family. We do our part. Our ten peecent is a small portion compared to God's 90 percent. We give because we love God, and are honored to be in His family.
Why would we NOT show our love for the God who created us, loves us so much that He gave the life of His own Son as ransom for our souls, so we could once again join the fold and commune with the One who showers us with His blessings?
Tithe to your God. Do your part to show He's number one in your hearts, lives, and souls. He promises no regrets. He promises eternal life, and eternal love.

What you said is opinion and not Biblical. There is no way you can give God your money. Which Church do you pick to give your money to? How do you know what they will do with it? Which organization will spend it on good and not salaries for the executives? You are not instructed to give a tithe unless you are a blinded Jew under the Law trying to work your way to heaven.
“We tithe to keep our blessings overflowing.” Physical blessings are no longer granted. The Law tithe taught physical blessings to Israel from God. Without a covenant with God, a priesthood, a promise, or a temple, tithing for a profit will not work.
Christ revealed to Paul His spiritual blessings for the Church/the Body of Christ. These blessings are in heavenly places in Christ, not on Earth (Ephesians 1:3). We live under God’s Grace today free from obedience for blessings and disobedience for curses.

I want to be obedient, thought 10% of my income was the definition of obedience, yet sometimes that means I can't pay 1 of my utilities that month. No, Deb, you are not commanded to give a monetary 10% of your income away. Being under God’s Grace today frees you from the bondage of the Law. Why would a loving God demand you to pay some religious organization money that you need to survive on? He wouldn’t!
Churches and other religious organizations try to get your 10% by making you feel guilty. God’s Grace teaches us to give generously, but not grudgingly or with feelings of necessity. We are to give as we feel led to by our hearts.
We’re to give to those things that will help accomplish God’s will. It doesn’t have to be money! You can give of your time or something material you no longer need (clothes, furniture, etc), but wish to share with others. Who receives your “gifts,” what and how much you give, is a matter for your own heart to decide (ll Corinthians 9:6-10).

If you have been giving more than you had to give then Jesus likens you to the old woman who gave more than she had to give. Sister, if your Church isn’t helping you when you’re having a hard time with your bills and you’re giving them 10% then what do you think GOD expected your Church to do with that 10%?
The true definition of the word we translate Church from is better translated “Congregation” in English. The Church isn’t supposed to be a building and a hierarchy, it’s supposed to be a community that looks out for each other. When a member of a Church can’t afford their bills that’s exactly when the congregation is supposed to help.
It’s not about a 10% tithe, and the 10% tithe was never financial in the Bible, it was specifically agricultural. The Jews also had money in those days and the tithe was still only agricultural and not financial. Financial giving was always a matter of you personal ability and your heart even in the OT.
This video literally claims it’s not teaching a replacement theology and yet the only thing they are doing is teaching a replacement theology. Jesus never accepted a tithe. That’s a fact. We are his priesthood, not Levi’s.
If we really love a ministry, we will give to it if we are able. But it’s better to love our congregation first and foremost so that we are seeing GOD’s will done in our local community.
      GOD Bless! ❤️

Wrong: It's the 10th of the 10 that passes under the rod. If 9 passed under the rod, then no tithe because no "tenth." If 19 passed under the rod, then only 1 was tithed. The tithe IS NOT a 10th; it is not 10%.
Wrong: They "COULD" use the money to buy all the produce, beer, etc. is not what the text says. It says they SHALL buy all those things back. It's not optional. Money is not a tithe. Money is only for the trip.
Wrong: The passage where every tithe is given to the Levites who worked in the tent of meeting, is not speaking about Israel's tithe (the people's tithe) but instead, the Levite's tithe to the priests in Aaron's line which they were commanded to do. THEY (Aaron's line) are who worked in the tent of meeting. This tithe is what is referenced in Malachi 3.
Wrong: Deut 14 is not "an additional tithe." It is the same tithe all people of Israel took to the Temple and shared with everyone, including the Levites, the poor, their families, their servants, etc. The only time a tithe was different was every 3rd year. This third year tithe is not an additional tithe. It is the same tithe but the third year. Even then, the same poor, non farmers, widows, etc were still to have access to this 3rd year tithe.
Wrong: There are not 3 tithes. There is only 1. And it's not 10% for the people. It is the 10th tenth, taken to Jerusalem and shared with all or left in hometown every 3rd year ALSO to be shared with poor, etc.
WE CANNOT TITHE TODAY! We have no levites/temple. We are not in the land. We are certainly NOT allowed to give money. It's not that the laws of Torah are invalid; it's that those today claiming we are to substitute them for the levites, are false teachers! We also cannot keep the feast days and ALL THOSE WHO ARE TEACHING US TO DO SO, ARE FALSE TEACHERS! Yehovah destroyed Jeraboam for this kind of presumption.
Yehovah vomited Israel from the land and the feast days 'CEASED' according to Hosea 9 & 2. Israel did not keep feasts in foreign lands. Lamentations confirms. Even Ezra confirms. Too many people these days are totally ignoring Yehovah and making up their own commands. And NO, YOU"RE WRONG! There is no gift of the Holy Spirit that comes with a salary over and above any other gift of the Holy Spirit. Man doesn't get to decide if his gift is leveraged for monetary gain while his neighbor's gift is not. Those who consider themselves "ministers" have no command to not work, not inherit land, pretend to be levites, etc. He is not allowed to put himself in the position only levites had. This is a twisting and distortion of the text. If anyone uses their gifts and is in need, we are to be helpful. But it's false teaching to use Paul's words to contradict Yehovah.
Did Yehovah bless a guy in ministry and expect compensation for it? Yet those same guys turn around and leverage that same information to others and you think that's biblical? How about the need for 1 day in lecture and 6 days in lab (so to speak) in order to actually have a transformation in one's life. Sabbath is not just the 7th day. It is the only day treated and talked about differently in the Bible. That day is the day set aside for learning from the true Teacher. The other 6 days are to be the days we put into practice what was learned on that one day. No one gets to ignore these principles and set themselves up as any different. This is ludicrous! WE ARE ALL CALLED INTO THE MINISTRY! Therefore, should we all have a PayPal account to receive "the living" we are supposedly biblically entitled to?
    You show yourself false!
The spiritual principle of the law NEVER contradicts the law.

1 Corinthians 9, who treaded the grain? IOW, who worked and deserved wages? Who planted the vineyard? Who worked and deserved the wine? Who took care of and fed the flock? Who worked and deserved the milk? Those statements are all about WORKING for what they were to receive. They are not about leveraging your own personal spiritual gift as your occupation and expecting others to compensate you over and above anyone else who uses their gift. If you have an actual job as Paul did and need additional assistance, the least you can do is show your hard work and good faith in not distorting Yah's word.
The whole problem here is that you guys are blind to much of your own false teaching because you are attempting to justify what is not of Yah. He decided who the Levites were and you are not a Levite with no inheritance anymore than any other guy. You are also ignoring Yah's own words that FEASTS CEASE. This teaching arrives at problematic conclusions based on subjective, questionable, assumptions. Here are just a few points as to why.
    1. Biblical systematic tithing under Mosaic Law wasn't giving, it was a compulsory payment, only it could not be received as money. That's a tax, not a free-will gift. Tithes and offerings are two very different things.
    2. You are assuming that money was not available so that is the reason for the "barter system" of tithing. That's not an accurate assumption. The mention of money in the bible occurs well before the era of Mosaic law, all the way back to Genesis where the shekel is mentioned several times. It would appear that laborers did, in fact, earn monetary wages according to Haggai 1:6 “…You earn wages, only to put them in a purse with holes in it.” In Deuteronomy, 14:22-27 tithe items were sold as a convenience for travel but not received after arrival (for the feast) as the money was used to purchase food and drink items to be consumed. This indicates A) money existed and was readily available B) tithes were not received as money.
    3. You are disregarding the fact that Levites were not allowed to be landowners. The Levitical tithe provided for items of the land from within the Holy Land to be shared, not money.
    4. There was never a tithe received on earned monetary wages, New Testament, or Old.
    5. Nowhere in the bible is tithing described as a principle. The real "principle" of systematic tithing was taxation. Systematic tithing was facilitated through ceremonial and civil ordinances under Mosaic Law. These are all obsolete in the New Covenant.
    6. Levitical tithes supported the government as well as the ceremonial system of atonement. Both are now obsolete in the Christian faith.
    7. There was never a biblical tithe collected for the purpose of evangelism or for Pastors.
    8. Have you ever considered that money cannot be Holy to the Lord, and as such could not be received as a biblical tithe item? Money is man-made, items of the land are God-made.
    9. 1 Corinthians 9:13-14 says nothing about money and if it were a direct reference to the tithe(s) under Mosaic Law, Paul wouldn't have the right to refuse it as he does in verse 15.
    10. There's no biblical evidence Jacob ever tithed but his promise could have been carried out through his lineage under Mosaic Law. Systematic tithing required by God could not have existed at Jacob's time or prior, since Jacob's offer to tithe was a contingent offer to tithe only IF God provided as Jacob requested.
    11. In Matthew 23:23-24 Many note that Jesus is recognizing tithing in this passage but ignore that what the Pharisees were tithing had nothing to do with money. Again, the items “mint, dill, and cumin” are spices - produce items. It’s also noteworthy that Jesus is indicting the Pharisees, not praising them in the true context of this passage. The fact that they were practicing tithing according to the law doesn’t excuse their negligence of spiritual “more important” matters - “justice, mercy, and faithfulness.” Tithing was a compulsory statute. Spiritual decisions indicate the condition of the heart as a result of free will choice. It is this that Jesus is emphasizing in this passage.
The teaching in this video fails to prove that any tithe is biblically required today and fails in classifying tithing as any sort of "principle" unless one considers taxation to be a principle. One can choose to give a tenth of the income, time, possessions, etc... but that's an offering, not a biblical tithe. There's nothing that links biblical tithes to earned wages. There is also no minimum or limit to what or how much we can give, but we are free to give and not bound to pay. Blessings in your giving.

Yet you rob me. “But you ask, ‘How are we robbing you?’ “In tithes and offerings. 9 You are under a curse-your whole nation-because you are robbing me. 10 Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the Lord Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it. 11 I will prevent pests from devouring your crops, and the vines in your fields will not drop their fruit before it is ripe,” says the Lord Almighty. 12 “Then all the nations will call you blessed, for yours will be a delightful land,” says the Lord Almighty.
At face value this passage would seem to imply that God is playing the role of either a mob boss or a slot machine - or both if one translates this passage in terms of monetary value. Who but a ruthless dictator would curse another for not carrying out this alleged indictment to regularly pay a percentage of your income - or else! Does this idea really pass the “love test”? Isn’t choice a primary component of love? And if tithing is compulsory as stated under Mosaic law, how can it really be considered a choice or any sort of act of faith? Another possible translation of this passage would suggest this is not the case. Some of the reasons why could be as follows:
      1. In the first few verses of the book of Malachi the “children of Israel” are addressed in a generic sense. However, since the Levitical Priests were technically also “children of Israel” it’s possible that the passage could have been directed to them exclusively. In Malachi 1:6 the indictments are clearly and specifically directed towards the Priests. From that point forward there is no clear change in the direction of focus for whom those indictments are made. The “Priests” are again specifically address in Malachi 2:1. As such, it would seem that the indictment to “bring the whole tithe into the storehouse” was actually directed towards the priests. We see no clear change in focus from the Priests for the indictment of “robbing God” so it is reasonable to assume that the indictment could very well have been directed toward the Priests, rather than the entire nation of Israel.
      2. There are reasons to believe that the Levitical Priesthood were the only ones actually allowed in the temple storehouse. Non-Jews were permitted the 'ezrat ha-nashim (the forecourt of the Temple); most Jews were permitted in the 'azarah (inner courtyard); only the priests and Levites were permitted in the heychal (inner court or sanctum); and only the High Priest could enter the kodesh kodashim (Holy of Holies). If only a select people were allowed in the storehouse, then Malachi 3:10 cannot be universally applied. It was the Levites, not all of Israel, who were to “bring up the tenth of the tithes to the house of our God, to the chambers of the storehouse” (Nehemiah 10:38). Therefore, it would seem that Malachi 3:10 was not directed at any others besides the Priests at the time which would further weaken the argument that tithing is to be universally applied today.
      3. Since the biblical tithe had nothing to do with paying money from monetary earnings there is no biblical reason to think that if anyone gives money to the church they will be monetarily blessed in return or otherwise cursed.
      4. It’s possible that what was happening at the time was that the Priests weren’t bringing the proper quantity and/or quality of tithe items (produce and livestock) to the temple as directed, perhaps keeping the best elements of their portion of the tithe for themselves. God could be indicting the Priests, through the prophet Malachi, to properly execute their part of the system, which included bringing proper sacrifices (quality livestock) and food (produce) for the other temple Priests and temple workers. Only the Priests were allowed to conduct sacrifices.
      5. The “floodgates of heaven” has nothing to do with monetary blessing. We first find this same term used by God back in Genesis 7:11 where the windows of heaven were open and rain contributed to the flood, as the fountains of the deep were broken open. In Genesis 8:2 it says the windows of heaven were stopped and the rain from heaven was restrained. Isaiah 24:18 also mentions the windows from on high; this phrase is consistently used for rainwater. In Genesis, it was a judgment. In Malachi 3 it was to be a blessing - rain on their crops. The nation lived in large part by their agriculture (Husbandry) and depended upon the rain. God's blessing had to do with the provision of water; no rain and they couldn’t produce adequate crops or sustain livestock. Perhaps this passage is emphasizing that if the Priests mishandled their tithes, which was part of the blessing in the Mosaic covenant, a curse would be put on them. The ground would not yield food because God would not allow it to rain which of course would be a detriment to all of Israel.
      6. There is no specific indictment for the entire nation of Israel to tithe as only the products of farmers and herdsmen were accepted as tithes. There is no mention of merchants, tradesmen, carpenters etc… ever bartering their crafts or services as a form of tithing or giving a tenth of their earned monetary wages. Therefore, it is unreasonable to conclude that Malachi 3:8-12 applies to the entire nation of Israel. As such, it’s also unreasonable to conclude that it applies to us today either.
      7. The book of Malachi was written at the time of Mosaic law in Israel. These laws supported a system of atonement that is now obsolete in the Christian faith as we (Christians) are now under grace, provided by the blood of Jesus.

Since Yeshua is our High Priest in Heaven he does not need tithes. Since temple is gone and no levites. He also said that if you visit the sick, the prisoners, feed the hungry, the widows, the fatherless and poor. We do it for him. Same in the OT Yahweh is not happy with the offerings for the Israelites are doing sins, by not bringing justice, mercy and feeding the poor, helping the widow and fatherless. Obedience is better than the offerings and sacrifices.YHWH said we should Work 6 days a Week and rest on the 7th day. So that we would have something to help the needy. EVERYONE should work not for ourselves only but think of those who needs help.
Even Yeshua and his disciples during his ministry also work, the do fishing, and they pay taxes. Yeshua was healing and feeding the hungry and never asked for tithes. YHWH said He will supply all your needs. Work, work and rest. Do charity yourselves and you will see the miracle, follow Yeshua's footsteps. He even asked the rich man to sell all his riches, give to the poor and follow him. Unless you walk by faith not by sight, you will never see the miracle provisions of YHWH, do not depend on the people. God will move anyone He wants to if He think your Ministries needs it. You give first to the needy and it will come back to you a hundredfolds. That is Law of Giving. That would be amazing.
Remember the Tithes to YHWH is Holy, Levites cannot eat them just anywhere, nor just anyone can eat them, it means death. So never ask for tithes, you are not authorized to receive them. Levites do not have land to till, they are not to work on the land. Work 6 days a week and rest. Shalom!

Tithing is food, not money. For the tithe was taken from the crops and the cattle, and for good reasons: so that the needy and the greedy could eat, but not spend the tithe to fulfill their sins. Give a poor man money, he'll go buy heroin. Give a pastor money, he'll go buy a Tesla. But if you give a poor man and a pastor tithes of stalks of barley grain for food and lambs for meat, it will take a lot of work to process them for food. It will even take work to try and sell those stalks of grain and lambs to convert them into money, to buy drugs and expensive cars. The tithe limits the needy's and greedy's capacity to sin. Therefore, if you want to give your tithe to the poor, and to your pastors and teachers, give them food for the tithe so that they may eat, but not buy drugs, houses, or cars. Just give your tithe in food, as the Scripture teaches.

If you are not from the Levitical priesthood tribe of Israel, you have no business receiving tithes and offerings from Jews or gentiles, period! And if you don't know what this means, don't be a teacher of the law of God.
God ordained the tribe of Levi, to receive tithes and offerings from the children of Israel, according to the law. [ Hebrews 7:5 ] God did not ordained gentile pastors, to receive tithes and offerings from Jews or gentiles.
A pastor can eat and drink of the gospel, for doing the work of the Lord. In whatever house you entered, abide there, eating and drinking such things as they give for the labourer is worthy of his hire. [ Luke 10:7 ] Eating and drinking has nothing to do with tithes and offerings of the law.
You shall not muzzle the ox that treaded out the corn. And, the labourer is worthy of his reward. [ 1 Timothy 5:18 ] Eating and drinking has nothing to do with tithes and offerings of the law.
The church is supposed to withstand the pastor to the face, and say to him, you cannot receive tithes and offerings from Jews or gentiles, because you are not from the Levitical priesthood tribe of Israel, and if the pastor neglects to hear the church, Jesus said, let him be unto you as a heathen man, and a publican [ Matthew 18:17 ]
The church congregation is not responsible for making payments for a temple made with hands, and neither is God, because God doesn't dwell in temples made with hands [ Acts 7:48-49 ] & [ Acts 17:24 ]
And before you start building temples made with hands, make sure you have enough money to build, because Jesus said, this man began to build, and was not able to finish. [ Luke 14:28-30 ]
Freely you have received, freely give. [ Matthew 10:8 ]
It is more blessed to give than to receive. [ Acts 20:35 ]
    For God loves a cheerful giver. [ 2 Corinthians 9:7 ]
A man that is an heretic after the first and second admonition reject; knowing that he that is such is subverted, and sinneth, being condemned of himself. [ Titus 3:10-11 ] But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law, for they are unprofitable and vain. [ Titus 3:9 ]
If any man think himself to be a prophet, or spiritual, let him acknowledge that the things that I write unto you are the commandments of the Lord. But if any man be ignorant, let him be ignorant. [ 1 Corinthians 14:37-38 ]
For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, cursed is everyone that continues not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them. [ Galatians 3:10-12 ]

I see no problem with supporting a preacher. The problem is a salary with benefits & a retirement plan. Pastors can work & make a living & still preach the word of God. The preachers of today do not know the gospel & many of them get rich from the collections & the money is not going to the proper places.*Members need to know tithing Scriptures are taken out of context & are not biblical. Voluntary giving is okay. Giving from the heart is to supply the needy, hungry, sick, & homeless, with needs & religion has failed. The church budget must be revealed & explained to the members by a monthly newsletter.

Unless you are a blinded Jew (Romans 11:25b), Torah instructions aren’t to you. Everything for the Church/the Body of Christ is found in Paul’s epistles. Jesus Christ instructs the Church to follow Paul as he follows Christ because Paul is the Apostle of the Gentiles (Romans 11:13).
Jesus Christ selected Saul of Tarsus to become Paul, Apostle to the Gentiles (Acts 9:25). Jesus Christ revealed through Paul “the mystery” of Salvation through Jesus’ work of the Cross, His death, burial, and resurrection. Those that believe are placed by the Holy Spirit into the “new creature” the Body of Christ. These members of Christ’s Body are not under Law, but under God’s Grace (Romans 6:14). All doctrine and instruction for this Body is found in Romans through Philemon.

If you need to get technical, the lineage of Levi is still in existence. For example, Rabbi Jonathan Cahn, of the tribe of Levi, teaches a flock of Christians, at New Hope Ministries, in Wayne, New Jersey.
So, if you must have a Levi in order to tithe, tithe to his church. Rabbi Cahn ministers to his flock, as well as global Christians, by his sermons, his books of prophesy, and his teachings through media - all serve the LORD. And he is just one example.
