  • Some argue that Hebrews 7:11-12 where it indicates there has been a change in the law means that the Torah has been done away with, nullified, and no longer applies. A careful examination, however, shows that it means no such things and only supports the difference between a heavenly priesthood and the Levitical earthly one.

If the law is written on the hearts of His children, and sanctification is done by God from within, let the temple that He is alive in, to be cleansed. But we are UNDER grace and not under the law, so we must be sanctified from within, but on the outside we are washing the feet of those we cross paths with, through His grace and mercy for those that are still lost. The world is the field. The seed is the word of God. Use the talents He has given you, to be the faithful servant that will sow where He has not sown, because as a faithful servant, we know He reaps where He has not sown. God bless and i love all of you! Seek the kingdom within first!

The verbal law is the Pharisees made traditions that built a fence around Torah law. It gets even more sinister as to they say that even if God spoke a command the Pharisees could over ride what God himself spoke. The rules about washing hands and the time where the disciples were eating of the grain on the sabbath that was a made up law of the Pharisees or verbal law.

Why do we Christians say it's okay to not keep Sabbath and dietary laws but murdering and adultery are not okay. Contradiction much? We don't get to pick and choose what law we like and don't like.

    • @geriallen7443

I like this comment but I don't think there's a contradiction. Some laws just become outdated. For example, the speed limit may be 55 on the interstate 20 years ago but today it's 70. The fines for 55 are longer applicable and there are new fines for going over 70. The Old Testament penalties for a woman being on her cycle are outdated. Our hygiene has changed immensely making these laws obsolete. Plz tell me what u think.

The Bible doesn't say women are unclean during menstruation because of hygiene so we probably shouldn't assume it. Its similar to people rationalizing the dietary laws away by saying we have proper storage and other things for our food now. They had fire to cook with long ago. If they would have put a freshly slaughtered pig on the fire it would have been just as safe as it would be now, but still unclean. My understanding of this is the "LAWS" were NOT "CHANGED". The original GREEK word used here "metatithemi # metathesis" which means to TRANSFER - NOT - CHANGE. It has been translated incorrectly. These verses are speaking about the LAWS pertaining to the "SACRIFICIAL , the TEMPLE and the TEMPLE SERVICES.
The TEMPLE - "transferred - those IN Yeshua are now the TEMPLE build up as "LIVING STONES" (not manmade bricks), on the "foundation" of the Old Testament, of which Yeshua is the "CORNERSTONE".
The " ANIMAL sacrifice", transferred to Yeshua (Christ the LAMB of Yahweh/God), who laid down his life down as a "substitute" for our lives, taking the "CURSE" that was upon us "You shall surely DIE" both physically and spiritually", because ALL mankind has SINNED. (Adam's/Eve generations) and became "You shall surely LIVE" through and because of Yeshua.
The INCENSE - transferred from the incense table to our prayers directly to Yahweh in the name of Yeshua (Yeshua's Righteous MERIT).
The MENORAH. The "LIGHT", "OIL", WICK" (on the Menorah rep. The TREE of LIFE transferred to the "believers" - grafted into the TREE of LIFE. We SHINE the LIGHT of Yahweh, by the Power of the Holy Spirit.
The SHEWBRED - 12 loaves - the WORD of Yahweh (the BREAD of LIFE" (Spiritual food that feeds the SOUL).
The LAVER - WE are "cleansed by the WASHING of the WORD (and being purified by the fire of the Holy Spirit (the Baptism of the Holy SPIRIT and fire).
The ALTER - "We are to be a "living sacrifice", as Yeshua did, by laying down our WILL and seeking Yahweh's/Gods WILL (our obedience).
The HIGH PRIEST - transferred to Yeshua our Messiah.
The Levite Priesthood - transferred to those who "believe and follow Yeshua" (a Royal Priesthood).
The "VEIL" - (torn) Yeshua's body was torn, beaten, so that we may enter into the Holiest Place where Yahweh is seated on the throne of a "His multiple mercy and grace".
The ENTRANCE. The DOOR - Yeshua is the WAY to the Father Yahweh/God. ("No one comes to the Father but THROUGH ME"). ETC. The SABBATH, the FEASTS (celebrated spiritually), and the DIETARY LAWS STILL APPLY.)
The ARK that holds the "10 Commandments" inside it, was written (on STONE) and given before the "SIN" (of the golden calf) and "rewritten" (now WRITTEN on our hearts) by the finger of Yahweh. There is so much more to this.

For the law, having a shadow of the good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with these same sacrifices, which they offer continually year by year, make those who approach perfect. For then would they not have ceased to be offered? For the worshipers, once purified, would have had no more consciousness of sins. But in those sacrifices there is a reminder of sins every year. For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and goats could take away sins.

    Mathew 22:
36 “Master, which is the great commandment in the law? 37Jesus said unto him, thou shalt love Yahweh thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second is like unto it, thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. 40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.
The term hang indicates that God’s laws point to either loving God, loving your neighbor or loving you’re your neighbor and God. It is interesting that these very commands, referred to by Jesus are indeed not new as they exist in the Hebrew scriptures, which Jesus was making reference. Loving your neighbor was already instituted within Yahweh’s laws as can be found in Leviticus 19:18
“Do not seek revenge or bear a grudge against one of your people, but love your neighbor as
    yourself. I am Yahweh”
We can also see that loving God is not a new command as it too is found in Duet 6:5
“And you shall love Yahweh your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might.”
Jesus therefore was not giving a new command or replacing the ones that existed otherwise he would be adding to God’s word in violation of Deuteronomy 4:2
“Do not add to what I command you and do not subtract from it, but keep the commands of
Yahweh your God that I give you.”

David, I basically followed you and liked your emphasis on the context. Certainly, the Torah has not been done away with or replaced. You explained that Yeshua can function as our High Priest since He is from a different priesthood. Thus, there is a "different law" or "change of the law" (Heb 7:12) because the law that governs the heavenly tabernacle is different from the Levitical laws that govern the earthly tabernacle. However, the phrase, "change of the law," suggests that the law governing the heavenly tabernacle is operating and not the Levitical laws that were fulfilled in Christ. Therefore, in my reading of the text, the word "change" is significant. If I change my clothes, I do not put on the same clothes. Similarly, if there has truly been a change in the law, then both priesthoods are not functioning simultaneously. The shadows have been fulfilled by Christ, and indeed "the substance is of Christ" (Col 2:17).

    Luke 1:5-6 KJV
5 There was in the days of Herod, the king of Judaea, a certain priest named Zacharias, of the course of Abia: and his wife was of the daughters of Aaron, and her name was Elisabeth.
6 And they were both righteous before God, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blameless.
The words to eternal life are Jesus's commands and teachings. Some may say we don’t have to keep the Sabbath day, feast days or the dietary laws because they were part of the Law of Moses, but the Law of Moses was a separate law that consisted of the law of animal sacrifices, not the Ten Commandments which were given to Moses directly from God or the feast days and dietary laws. In order to be saved we must obey Jesus, we can find before Jesus came to Earth and dwelt with man, he was Melchisedec King of Salem who Abraham honored with a tenth of his possessions, the great I AM who appeared to Moses, and Jehovah Almighty who gave Moses the Ten Commandments and led the children of Israel out of Egypt.
    Hebrews 6:20 KJV
Whither the forerunner is for us entered, even Jesus, made an high priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.
    Hebrews 7:1-3 KJV
For this Melchisedec, king of Salem, priest of the most high God, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings, and blessed him; [2] To whom also Abraham gave a tenth part of all; first being by interpretation King of righteousness, and after that also King of Salem, which is, King of peace; [3] Without father, without mother, without descent, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life; but made like unto the Son of God; abideth a priest continually.
These first few verses in Hebrews 7 show that Melchisedec met Abraham back in Genesis 14:18-20 KJV: “18 And Melchizedek king of Salem brought forth bread and wine: and he was the priest of the most high God. 19 And he blessed him, and said, Blessed be Abram of the most high God, possessor of heaven and earth: 20 And blessed be the most high God, which hath delivered thine enemies into thy hand. And he gave him tithes of all,” and later was made like unto the Son of God. We know that Melchisedec is without father, mother, descent, having neither beginning of days or end of life and is an immortal priest. This person cannot be the Father because Jesus is the only begotten Son of God and the only one who has seen the Father. No man including Moses who God showed his backside to has seen the Father. Moses saw the back of Jehovah, who is Jesus. John 1:17-18 “[17] For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ. [18] No man hathseen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.” No man who has ever lived on Earth, but Jesus has immortality. (1 Timothy 6:13-16 KJV ). Only Jesus, the Son of God, fits the description of Melchisedec.
The second half of Hebrews 7 further elaborates how Jesus as the high priest of the order of Melchisedec, came to change and replace the old Levitical priesthood. . The only change in the old and new covenant was the mediators. The mediator in the old covenant under the Levitical priesthood was Moses, the new mediator under the new covenant is Jesus. The Levitical priests oversaw the administration of the animal sacrifices for sin. Because the Messiah had not come, the Israelites needed a sin sacrifice so God would not kill them. The wages of sin is death, so the lambs, goats, bulls, turtledoves, ect. died in their place. This law was carnal and could never give anyone eternal life. Moses prophesied God will raise another prophet like him and they will listen to Him (Deuteronomy 18:15-19). Jesus is this prophet. At his resurrection and ascension to Heaven, he became our new mediator for the new covenant under Melchisedec which replaced the old covenant’s mediator under the Levitical priests. Hebrews 7:23-28 “[23] And they truly were many priests, because they were not suffered to continue by reason of death: [24] But this man, because he continueth ever, hath an unchangeable priesthood. [25] Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them. [26] For such an high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens; [27] Who needeth not daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifice, first for his own sins, and then for the people's: for this he did once, when he offered up himself. [28] For the law maketh men high priests which have infirmity; but the word of the oath, which was since the law, maketh the Son, who is consecrated for evermore.”
    Hebrews 10:1-13 KJV
[1] For the law having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect. [2] For then would they not have ceased to be offered? because that the worshippers once purged should have had no more conscience of sins. [3] But in those sacrifices there is a remembrance again made of sins every year. [4] For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins.[5] Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me: [6] In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin thou hast had no pleasure. [7] Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God. [8] Above when he said, Sacrifice and offering and burnt offerings and offering for sin thou wouldest not, neither hadst pleasure therein; which are offered by the law; [9] Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second. [10] By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.[11] And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins:[12] But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down on the right hand of God; [13] From henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool.
These two scriptures, John 8:52-58 and Exodus 3:13-15, establish that Jesus is the great I AM.
    John 8:52-58 KJV
Then said the Jews unto him, Now we know that thou hast a devil. Abraham is dead, and the prophets; and thou sayest, If a man keep my saying, he shall never taste of death. [53] Art thou greater than our father Abraham, which is dead? and the prophets are dead: whom makest thou thyself? [54] Jesus answered, If I honour myself, my honour is nothing: it is my Father that honoureth me; of whom ye say, that he is your God: [55] Yet ye have not known him; but I know him: and if I should say, I know him not, I shall be a liar like unto you: but I know him, and keep his saying. [56] Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw it and was glad. [57] Then said the Jews unto him, Thou art not yet fifty years old, and hast thou seen Abraham? [58] Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I AM.
    Exodus 3:13-15 KJV
And Moses said unto God, Behold, when I come unto the children of Israel, and shall say unto them, The God of your fathers hath sent me unto you; and they shall say to me, What is his name? what shall I say unto them? [14] And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you. [15] And God said moreover unto Moses, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, The Lord God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, hath sent me unto you: this is my name for ever, and this is my memorial unto all generations.
Isaiah 12:2-3 establishes the fact that Jesus is Jehovah, our Messiah. Through believing in him and keeping his commandments, can we receive eternal salvation.
    Isaiah 12:2-3 KJV
Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the Lord Jehovah is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation. [3] Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation.
We must keep Jesus’s commands, so what Jesus (who is Jehovah, Melchisedec, the great I AM) commanded the children of Israel to do which was to keep his Sabbath, his feast days, and dietary laws we must do also. The Gentiles are grafted into holy olive tree which represents Jesus Christ alongside the natural branches which represent Israel. These laws are spiritual (not carnal like the law of animal sacrifice), and last forever (Psalm 111:7-8). The laws of God come from the Father and were given to his Son Jesus to preach to the world for eternal life. John 17:5-8 KJV “[5] And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was. [6] I have manifested thy name unto the men which thou gavest me out of the world: thine they were, and thou gavest them me; and they have kept thy word. [7] Now they have known that all things whatsoever thou hast given me are of thee. [8] For I have given unto them the words which thou gavest me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came out from thee, and they have believed that thou didst send me.” When we obey Jesus, we are obeying the Father. The commands and teachings of Jesus all come from the Father. The only change in the covenant was the mediators. The mediator in the old covenant under the Levitical priesthood was Moses, the new mediator under the new covenant is Jesus. Since Jesus came in the volume of the book, the commands given to him by the Father in the old testament have not changed.

Well lets all start sacrificing animals again... oh we cant we have no temple. Jesus repeated the Noatic laws and Love of god and neighbor, not the torah. Nowhere in the new testament is the torah ever put upon the believer yet over 60 times are references to the Law/Torah passing away and not applying, and causing one to fall from grace is... Literally if you cannot see this then you have a 3rd grade readers ability or less.

Not only does the Torah not restrict Yahshua from being a priest, the settlement of priesthood on Aaron's sons was an outcrop of Israel's golden calf incident where only Levi refused to participate. Before that event, priests would have been selected from all twelve tribes, as the entire nation was ordained to be a 'kingdom of priests'. Yahshua, a Judahite through his mother, was the Son of Elohim, whose Fatherhood overrode the curse line of Mary's flawed Judahite lineage. So, the judgment against priesthood for Judah did not apply to Yahshua.

There is no earthly tabernacle….. We are the temple now, therefore, our Priest is Yahusha and not the Levites. Maybe this shows that Hebrews was written before 70ad… and until that time they kept the priesthood of Levi, after that those laws were no longer applicable because there was no earthly tabernacle

Note Jesus’ words in Matthew 5:17-18:
Do not think that I came to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I did not come to abolish but to fulfill. For truly I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest letter or stroke shall pass from the Law until all is accomplished.
So according to Jesus words would you prefer to be least or greatest in the Kingdom of heaven?

Heaven and earth passing away was an idiomatic expression in Hebrew of judgement days, or days of the Lord. It never meant the literal ending of the space time continuum or entire universe.
Just read Micah 1 or Isaiah 34 to see the Hebraic, apocalyptic language. If we took it all literally, mountains would literally melt like wax and nations would burn forever and ever.

The mention of Ezekiel and Zechariah mentioning a future priesthood is a misunderstanding of the fulfillments of their prophecies dealing with the temple, priesthood, and sacrificial system. Those prophecies were fulfilled during the days of the second temple.

Remember we do not needs two different priesthood or new sacrificial system & The Feast of the LORD, and a memorial in Typology. Shalom.

Even 119s video on circumcision just kind of confused me even more. Maybe I misunderstood something or missed something but I never really understood what their position on it is. So if there is anyone reading this that can give me some direction or thoughts on this I would greatly appreciate it. Odd place to seek help I know but I dont really have anyone to talk with about this.

My personal opinion is that God commanded his people to do this, we don't know why other than it's a sign and sets one apart from the rest of the world, for we are to be different, set apart, living different than the world. So I will be circumcising my sons. However it is NOT a requirement for salvation. Let nobody tell you it's required to be saved. Only through Jesus are you saved.

      Colossians 2:10-14 (KJV)
10 And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:
11 In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ:
12 Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead.
      13 And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;
      14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;
No need for circumcision. We are circumcised in the heart.
      Romans 2:25-29 (KJV)
25 For circumcision verily profiteth, if thou keep the law: but if thou be a breaker of the law, thy circumcision is made uncircumcision.
26 Therefore if the uncircumcision keep the righteousness of the law, shall not his uncircumcision be counted for circumcision?
27 And shall not uncircumcision which is by nature, if it fulfil the law, judge thee, who by the letter and circumcision dost transgress the law?
28 For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh:
29 But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.
      Hope this helps

21:29 The law (not the priesthood) is only weak and useless in accomplishing what it was never intended to accomplish. That is right. Things like justification, sanctification, and future glorification come to mind. The law does not accomplish any of these because it was never supposed to.

Many times through the OT the prophets(see Kings and Jeohabuam) condemn those who celebrate God's commands mans way. The feast, festivals and levitical laws can not be done the way God ordained them. At best, they can be done as a memorial. Why would God ask us to do something in a way that He is known to condemn in His scripture. I was on the fence on all of this until after months of daily study I came to the Melchelzedek story and finally was brought to peace to understand how continuing to follow the levitical law is to deny the superiority of Christ over the levitical law. Christ is either superior over it or He is not. His sacrifice was either enough or it wasn't. It is was there is NO need for the levitical law. Christ is talking about the Mosaic Covenant and commands and we should follow these AND we should be honoring the traditional Sabbath. All of these things can be done without any deviation from God's original commands and are all listed in the end times prophecies. Honoring the levitical system when Christ already fulfilled that and completed it is to stomp on the sacrifice of Christ.

Matthew 5:43 “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor [Leviticus 19:18; Matthew 22:39] and hate your enemy [Deuteronomy 23:3-6; Judges 3:28].’ 44 But I say to you, love your enemies [John 13:34; John 15:12; Hebrews 7-8; Jeremiah 31:31-34], bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you, 45 that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust."
Hebrews 7:11 Therefore, if perfection were through the Levitical priesthood (for under it the people received the law [Matthew 5:17-20,43; Matthew 22:39]), what further need was there that another priest should rise according to the order of Melchizedek [Psalm 110:4], and not be called according to the order of Aaron? 12 For the priesthood being changed, of necessity there is also a change of the law [Matthew 5:44; John 13:34; John 15:12]. 13 For He of whom these things are spoken belongs to another tribe, from which no man has officiated [served] at the altar. 14 For it is evident that our Lord arose from Judah, of which tribe Moses spoke nothing concerning priesthood.
Luke 5:36 Then He spoke a parable [Psalm 78:2; Ezekiel 17:2] to them: “No one puts a piece from a new garment on an old one [Deuteronomy 4:2; Deuteronomy 12:32; Proverbs 30:6]; otherwise the new makes a tear [Matthew 27:50-51; Mark 15:37-38; Luke 23:45-46], and also the piece that was taken out of the new does not match the old [Matthew 5:31,43]. 37 And no one puts new wine into old wineskins [2 Corinthians 3:14-15; Hebrews 8:13]; or else the new wine will burst the wineskins and be spilled, and the wineskins will be ruined. 38 But new wine [Matthew 5:32,44] must be put into new wineskins [Jeremiah 31:31-34; Hebrews 8], and both are preserved. 39 And no one, having drunk old wine, immediately desires new; for he says, ‘The old [2 Corinthians 3:14-15; Hebrews 8:13] is good [Romans 7:12; 1 Timothy 1:8].’ ”

Since Scripture declares that we who believe are the temple of God, does the earthly Levitical law continue to apply, as it is now written on our hearts, in our day to day walk?
If so, it cannot be set aside as it is written in the hearts of those who now are declared to be the temple and dwelling of God.
It's confusing, but I'm trying to figure this all out instead of merely dismissing it.

The reason the Lord Jesus Christ came into this world, is because the blood of bulls and goats established in the law, couldn't wash away sins (Hebrews 10:2-4). That is why God said that he doesn't want animal sacrifices or sins offering, but had prepared a body for the Lord Jesus Christ, a body to offer (Hebrews 10:5-6; Psalms 40:6-8). The OT sacrifices pointed to the real one. Indeed, the Lord is the fulfilment of the law. Even Moses said to the Israelites, "God is going to raise up a prophet from among you, he will put his words in his mouth, listen to him!

If paul teaches men not to be circumcised and not to question foods, wich are against the law of moses, why do you teach ppl to return the the law they are freed from? Paul gave warnings not to leave grace and return to the law. Why? I see none of these scriptures addressed in this presentation. The 10 commandments are God's eternal laws because they are the basis of loving God, and eachother according to Gods definition of love. The law of moses are just traditions of men governing the flesh, we who are born again, are no longer under the laws of flesh as we live according to the spirit and heavenly things wich are greater and higher. Paul said to put to death the deeds of the flesh and walk in the spirit. Circumcision is nothing, and meets are nothing. But loving God and One another is the fulfilling of the law. The law of christ. I pray for understanding for all of you who love yeshua and encourage you to look deeper into this. God bless...

@THE BHSC paul said we are dead to the law, only the law of christ has power over us. Love God with all that we are and our neighbor as ourselves. If we do this we will follow the ten commandments because love doesn't allow for the breaking of them. Love is the fulfilling of the law. The law of moses was a shadow of things to come. It was for the jews not gentiles and even the jews who accept christ are freed from punishment for not doing them. Paul further said if we return to the law for redemption we are no longer in the faith but fallen from grace. If we teach ppl they are expected to follow moses laws, we entangle them in a snare. Paul addressed this with peter, saying if you who are jews live as the gentiles why do you tell gentiles to live as the jews? I'm sorry brother but if you are teaching ppl to obey moses I strongly disagree. Do you stone your childeren or stone woman for adultery? It's part of the law. The bible sais if you break one law you are guilty of all. That's why yeshua was nailed to the tree. To pay the debt once and for all for everyone who lives by the spirit and puts to death the deeds of the flesh. If we walk in the faith of christ and obey his commandments we are freed from the power of the law. And those who do not accept christ are still under the law and condemned for breaking it. For all have sinned, (broke the law) and no one but christ is able to erase sin and apply righteousness. If we are under law, christ is dead in vain and we are all guilty and condemned. ,

      Very well said @andrew maltby.
People, you may as well just remove the epistles from the Bible and make your own canon if you don't agree with being freed from the law of sin and death. The Law was performance/works based. You earned your blessing or curse. Do you really want to go back to that?

Nobody was ever justified by the law. You are justified by obeying the Believing. You act in your beliefs. The father gave instructions. If you don’t obey the instructions, including how to respond to your sin (breaking the law), then you don’t believe. Jesus taught the same. My sheep know me and they follow me... to follow in the steps of the savior is to walk in the ways of His father. No one can do it perfectly, which is why there are mechanisms of repentance and forgiveness. 70 x 7.

So Hebrews cannot be saying the law is changed because Jesus said in Matthew 5 that He didn't come to abolish the law.
Couldn't I just say Jesus didn't say that He wasn't going to abolish the law because Hebrews says the law was changed.
This is not how to interpret Scriptures we can't choose verses that we perceive support our perspective, then have those verses overrule other verses.
No, we must deal with each passage in context, then harmonize the various conclusions.
Matthew 5 Jesus taught that His teaching is not anti-Torah, but is the fulfillment of the prophetic message of Torah & prophets. So, his sayings must be obeyed diligently. Because as Matthew 7 states we will be judged by His teaching. A teaching that on some points like divorce or swearing voided out passages in the Torah. & In other cases made teachings of law unnecessary for those who follow him. Since a Christian loves his enemy & doesn't lust, commands about murder & adultery are useless. As Paul said in Timothy, the law is for the unrighteous, not those who are walking in the Spirit.
This video, & this movement, deals very naively with Scripture. Beware.

Jesus is the Law of Moses Incarnated. So, by fixing our eyes upon Jesus and by walking in the Spirit we fulfill the Law. This is exactly what the writer of Romans 13:9 meant. Believe in the Lord JESUS alone. HE is the law Incarnated. He is THE PROPHET, THE PRIEST, and THE KING. There is no more temple sacrifices after its destruction. if you require some Jewish ceremony (circumcision, Passover, etc.) to please God, you are in fact DENYING the sufficiency of Christ's sacrifice!

Correct John. Here it is referring to the Sacrificial Laws (Yeshua is the eternal Lamb of God, the Priesthood (Aaron), Yeshua is now our High Priest, the Levitical Priest, we are now the Royal Priesthood ( who obey the Commandments). The Temple, we are the "living stones of the Temple being built up by God, with Yeshua who is the Cornerstone. Read the parable of the wise and foolish man. The Old Testament of the "Foundation, (the ROCK) Yeshua the Cornerstone of the New Testament, being built in the foundation of the Old Testament as God Temple. Those who do not "build on the Rock (OT) and only on the sand (NT) when the storm comes the house shall fall". If you look at the Transfiguration of Yeshua, it confirms this as well.

Hi John. The word "obsolete" is incorrect. The the Greek word used here has been mistranslated. The Greek word used here is "metatithemi" # "metaatgesis" which means "transfer". The " whole of the "sacrificial services", the " priesthood" (+ High Priest) the "menorah", (light), the " incense" (prayers) etc ., were ALL transferred to Yeshua and ALL those who follow him. These physical things became "spiritual". As I put in my previous message to you. It is not "obsolete" just transferred to a better one that truly brings is not physical only but spiritual. Bless you.

Paul’s writings can be confusing and used to twist doctrine as Peter mentions. Jesus followed the law, please don’t ignore what Jesus said...Jesus was against the doctrines of men ( the oral laws given by the Pharisees...now know as the Talmud).

Maybe comparing Canada to Germany. Leastwise they're both offices of the Prime Minister. And then stating the goal of the different priesthoods comes to mind. Earthly covers your sin, but the heavenly takes it away completely. Just a thought.

Keep going with the whole context:
“...Now, however, Jesus has received a much more excellent ministry, just as the covenant He mediates is better and is founded on better promises. For if that first covenant had been without fault, no place would have been sought for a second. But God found fault with the people.... By speaking of a new covenant, He has made the first one obsolete; and what is obsolete and aging will soon disappear...”

The tribe of Levi was an emergency SUBSTITUTE called out by YHWH. The FIRST BORN SONS were to be the priests under the Law, but at the Golden Calf screw up at Shavuot caused the need for a SUBSTITUTE and Levi stood up. Yahusha is a First Born Son who was sacrificed on the altar of YHWH and example of this is also seen with Samuel, a first born son, who was sacrificed upon the altar of YHWH, i.e. his parents gave him up to become a priest. Samuel is left at the temple to be raised and trained by the priests, specifically Eli. According to Torah, first born sons are given up to be priests or they must be bought back with an offering if the family needs them to work for the family.

HRM really shows the lack of spiritual insight into this passage...
Think not that I am come ... - Our Saviour was just entering on his work. It was important for him to state what he came to do. By his setting up to be a teacher in opposition to the scribes and Pharisees, some might charge him with an intention to destroy their law, and to abolish the customs of the nation. He therefore told them that he did not come for that end, but really to fulfill or accomplish what was in the law and the prophets.
To destroy - To abrogate; to deny their divine authority; to set people free from the obligation to obey them. "The law." The five books of Moses called the law.
The Prophets - The books which the prophets wrote. These two divisions here seem to comprehend the Old Testament, and Jesus says that he came not to do away or destroy the authority of the Old Testament.
But to fulfil - To complete the design; to fill up what was predicted; to accomplish what was intended in them. The word "fulfill" also means sometimes "to teach" or "to inculcate," Colossians 1:25. The law of Moses contained many sacrifices and rites which were designed to shadow forth the Messiah. See the notes at Hebrews 9. These were fulfilled when he came and offered himself a sacrifice to God,
      "A sacrifice of nobler name.
      And richer blood than they."
The prophets contained many predictions respecting his coming and death. These were all to be fulfilled and fully accomplished by his life and his sufferings.
