- Expedition Everest Review:
This is the largest and most expensive coaster ever built at a Walt Disney World theme park. Before the days of Pandora, Expedition Everest was the star attraction for Animal Kingdom. It's one of the more thrilling coasters at Walt Disney World, but is still fun for the entire family.

I always enjoy these videos. Keep it up!
I rode on Expedition Everest so much as a kid, but I've never seen Disco Yeti in person. Hopefully they'll fix it soon
I found your statement about Disney's roller coasters either being built around a mountain or inside a building funny.
I really like this ride but it's not the only reason go to animal Kingdom. I like the safari and I love doing the animal walking trails that's the real reason to go to animal Kingdom.
awesome video ... but why are you sitting to my left?
My one negative (there aren't many) is the layout. So many helixes are very little airtime. Even the "big" drop somehow doesn't feel all that great. Still one of the best Disney coasters in existence.
sfmman2000 Great point, and we totally agree, Everest is more about helixes and forces. Disney definitely needs a coaster that focuses on airtime, Thunder Mountain has a few; but if we could get a coaster (Expedition Everest’s size) to do that... that would be awesome!
Gets a 2 from me, when they get the ride back to the condition it was when it opened with the yeti and steam working and maybe the mist then it gets the 10 it should have.
It's been far too long and not only do the fans miss out on the effects, but the people that put so much work into designing the ride and making it have a lot of their work hidden due to things being broken and management not getting on with fixing things.
Hopefully the rumours of an expedition everest refurb happen to be true and in my opinion the best ride/roller-coaster is brought back to life.
Frank Castle Great points! Expedition Everest really put Animal Kingdom on it shoulders for years until Avatar opened, it desperately needs some TLC, but unfortunately management doesn’t see it that way. Look at the latest statement from CEO Bob Iger himself, he doesn’t even see Everest as a good attraction because it’s not attached to an IP... I kid you not, Bob Iger called Everest “some coaster themed to India....”
I think Disney needs some new management
@@AMagicProduction you're right I saw that tweet a few days ago, Joe Rohde and his team of imagineers deserve better than that.
They've been there working hard on projects years before Iger became CEO. He needs to be more appreciative of his employees and their hardwork.
My left ear really enjoyed this review
I just went to WDW for the first time a couple of months ago, and I went on Expedition Everest more than any other ride. I wish it was in California.
WDW fans felt the same way about the Matterhorn, it's nice that each resort has their own unique rides. Expedition Everest has a large footprint (and Disneyland is short on space), and thematically it doesn't really fit anywhere besides Adventureland.
While I love Everest, it wasn't and still isn't the largest ride at Disney... Kilimanjaro Safaris is. Isn't Kili more expensive as well?
Correct, we should have said Expedition Everest is Disney World’s largest coaster, not attraction. As far as the price goes, I’m not sure, Everest is said to have cost more than 100 million dollars, it’s quite possible Kilimanjaro cost more.
Did you know that expedition Everest is the same tall attraction as tower of terror at Hollywood studios?
Matterhorn or Everest?
Mike Hawk that’s a tough one, both are very different coasters. I’m going to say Expedition Everest for now... Matterhorn has become really rough over the years, if it was smoother I would say the Matterhorn.
Big Thunder Mountain at Disneyland California is much better since it was re-tracked.
Docktor Jim yes but it’s more thrilling in the front car of Disney world than the back car of Disney land
Ive been to both
Why does a coaster have to be in a building or mountain?
I do love this ride even if the yeti doesn’t work.
10 out of 10
i love disney
My left ear piercing is so cold
And exits through the rear of the structure....
😂
Overall, this is a 9.5 for me😇

Sadly the aren't going to. The ride is very popular and with so few other ride option in the park Disney can't really afford to shit it down for heaven knows how long just repair one element that may not be the answer any way. They said the foundation was cracking which tells me this a bigger issue. It would require a ton of money and time to properly repair it.
