Thanks Christopher, glad this one helped ya out. And totally, I remember being a student and looking for chunks of different tutorials from different people to get what I needed.
Thank you for your videos dude, sometimes I look up on how to do a certain thing on Maya and I mainly get a lot of Blender stuff, which is a cool and all but for class assignments requiring things be done in Maya, it's a godsend to find tutorial videos for 2018 or 2019 Maya. I feel like there is still so much to learn from Maya as I'm only a beginner modeller atm. But yeah, keep up the good work!

I'm glad I found the solution to my problem in the first step. I should have used Arnold lights instead of Maya lights to begin with. Is there an easy way to convert the regular Maya lights to Arnold lights? Maybe a way to link them for rendering in Arnold?
your video really helped me a lot while i was strugggling with rendering but coudnt do the part where it is required to use the diffuse maps . so, how do d you get the diffuse maps? thanks.
Hi Thanks a lot for this video. One question. When I try to render sequence, My render screen is only gets blue and do not render anything. Do you know how to solve it?
OMG man, i just discover your channel, it's pretty sick!! Currently i'm working in my portfolio and i always have troubles with the turntable part. thanks a lot for the help man!!!
Mine is currently still rendering so I could be wrong, but it looks like it might be rendering 159 copies of the same image? How do I make it so that it produces the turntable effect like yours?
Did you manually animate the turntable? or did you use a turntable Camera? If you have no Idea what I'm talking about.. watch my video on making a turn table.
Can I give it a background instead of black somehow? I know you usually don’t do That for a turntable but it’s not for a project I want to add a Christmas themed background to my Xmas tree model
Hey this video is super helpful, thanks for teaching this to the community, the only thing I have to say is, I think you gotta make the video more HD, maybe it's the resolution cuz I had a hard time trying to read and understand some words and menus. Otherwise the video is great!
Hey Maggi, I think for this particular video I ran into a rendering problem. I've since changed my editing software. Let me know if my newest videos have the same problem. Thanks!
I'm doing a very simple turntable (of a bottle). I'm assuming the render will take like 24 hours. Is that normal? Great videos...I'm super interested in your channel. I'll figure things out (economically speaking) to join your Patreon. AMAZING! Thanks a lot!
Oh I appreciate the kind words Roberto, glad you're finding the channel helpful! And don't worry about Patreon, you Smashing the like button is just as appreciated 😁. In regards to your render time, that depends on your amount & quality of lights, and reflection as well as your computer specs.. so it technically could take that long 🙃
@@BrianKouhi png or exr doesnt have alpha when they rendered using Rendered Sequence so when i try tiff it works.. so i think TIFF is the best format while rendering in arnold for transparent background
I have a question: Even though my model is low-poly because of retopologising, when I aiWireframe and render it appears to have so much more topology than my model actually does, why is that?
I'm not sure exactly what the issue could be, But it might be that you have an option on that renders your mesh in a higher subdivision (smooth render). Look into that
Thanks for the suggestion Loot, but unfortunately I don't have any professional experience in simulation, and I'm not sure I'm comfortable enough teaching something I haven't learned fully myself :)
Its in the middle of the night and i need to finish my project in the next 6 hours your videos are saving me 👏🏻😭
Happy you're finding value In these videos! Goodluck on your project!
Amazing video and as a student myself the fact you went over each individual thing saved my bacon! Great vid keep making them!

Yeah I don't see reason you shouldn't be able to.

Hello, do you know if I can place the light on an especific place of my scene instead of moving the light all the way to the place I´m working on?
how to make the background transparent?
I believe you have to export with a file format that has an Alpha, so PNG, or EXR formats. then stitch them together in Premiere or a similar program.

Arnold renderview crashes Maya, help.
could you say how to render 3D model as 2D ????
There's definitely a way to make your character look more 2D, but I'm not too sure how to achieve it. I might look into it in the future.
