Got one for my Lady Friend and she found a gold ring on the beach with her first 5 sweeps, I like it because it's so light and good performance
It helps me a great deal , I just got this one for Christmas and you explain it well...
I just bought a Fisher F44. I'm pretty new at this so this was a great, very helpful vid. Thanks!

Thank you very much for this video. I just got an F44 and found this video to be a great help in learning the machine! Happy Hunting.
Excellent video, I am new to detecting and have watched lots of F44 video`s and was very confused.
Your video has really helped me and stopped me from replacing my machine. 5*
Thanks Matt for the info. This is a great machine and I love mine from the time I found a 1876 Seated Quarter at Fu-Fest.
Been at this 'Hobby' for over forty years and am real impressed with the features on this low line machine. For everything but relic hunting the smaller coil, such as the 7 or 9 inch ones are not only lighter, but better in coin hunting.
Same here with over 40 too..where does all the time go
Very well done review on the Fisher F-44 Matt. Congrats. Thanks for the heads up on the free shipping from Kellyco using your Tarheel code. Awesome
Nice one and good info thanks for sharing.
Just set up my tones like yours. I like your setup better than the one I had created. Subbed to your channel.
Good job and well done my friend.
looks like a great machine, i liked my f2, and katelyn has the f11, fisher is a great company.
Thank you for your advice and good job on the videos keep them coming...HH to you also.
Nice review and machine.
This is a good unit! Good video my friend.
You have had some great finds with the F44 Matt, and at an affordable price
+jbolf6 Thanks John - I find it's an excellent compliment to my E-Trac. Great for all-day hunts because it's so light and weather proof. HH!
Ordering one tomorrow morning.Replacing my Bounty Hunter Quick Draw II and Bounty Hunter Discovery 3300 units.I hope I see a big difference in my finds and settings working better.

@@bleirdo_dude I bought the TEKNETICS T2+ and I used it less than 2 hours due to medical issues and Three Major surgeries since then.I still have more medical issues that will prevent me from ever enjoying most of my hobbies.I have it For Sale locally with lots of extras because I will never be able to use it.😢
@@1OFGODSOWN That sucks. 😞
Thanks for the update anyway.
@@1OFGODSOWN how much are you asking. Sorry about your medical issues
@@ronpinkerton7012 $450 with a Stainless Steel sand scoop with a two piece handle.a cover for the coil, both the head and battery compartment covers, digging tool,Tek Point pin pointer, carry bag, and the original boxes. It’s basically a Brand New setup.
Well done!
Tarheel digging, I have some questions and was wondering if you could help me answer these questions. I am very new and bought from KellyCo a Fisher 44.
I've read the manual twice and have looked at many videos on how to use it correctly.
My question is this, seeing that the coil is said to be able to go into water and the shaft to about two feet would this also include salt water? I understand that here in Florida we have dirt, sand, and a mixture of both. We have clad, zinc, copper and different earth minerals that would make the ID unit go crazy depending on which coin I would be detecting. But on this note I wanted to ask if I was detecting in Brazil and seeing that their dirt minerals are a little different than ours would I have a different target ID let's say for a copper penny (us) then a Brazilian penny even though they both would have copper in them. and of course the minerals being different then ours. This is my dilemma.
I could send the coins to you to test, but they would probably give you the same target I'd seeing that you would place them on our earth here in the USA.
That's what troubles me, should I have waited to buy the Fisher 44 until I got over their, and this way someone over their could have explained that the coins their would show a different target I'd because of the difference in earth minerals.
Do you see my point?
I know this is old but we just got one and didn't change the tone settings so it was hype all the time. Now I've made it more accurate I hope to find cooler shit than nails.lol
Well demo'd Matt. Fisher users across the country are all resetting their machines.
+DetectingtheBurgh It's a really simple detector to use, Keith. I love my E-Trac, but for all day hunts I prefer the F44 because it's so light weight. HH!
I just ordered the NEL Thunder coil for my f44. I hoping for some great results mainly with depth. I went to a civil war battlefield that most bullets were 10" or deeper. I only found only one bullet compared to my friend with an At Pro who found 8 bullets.
Tyler Williams I just got the Thunder on my f44, yes it gets 3 more inches in depth, pinpointing is tricky, still havent gotten it yet on irregular shaped relics
watched the video on the f44 I did end up purchasing the f44 does pretty good but I was thinking about getting the 13in dd coil what do you think.
Yes, the larger coil would get you a little deeper and would be great for field hunting. I prefer the stock coil in the woods. Congrats on your purchase - HH!
hi man .this mashine detecting gold and how much this mashine and from where can I get it .
Hey thank you for your video but I have a question. My f44 in custom mode like to to a squeeking Moise instead of high tones and low tones or a grunting noise.. how do I get rid of the squeeking sound? Is there a way to reset the machine? I would truly appreciate some help.. please and thank you
...I know it was a year ago, but did you figure it out?? Seems like you were hearing the squeaky VCO tones (same as in All Metal mode), you need to set individual tones, p18 here... may help, www.fisherlab.com/hobby/manuals/MF44-manual-reader.pdf
My F44 is on it's way back to Fisher for warranty repair for the second time since I bought it new in January 2017.The first time the on/off button quit working. A day after it came back from Fisher, it went haywire, that is, it would not stay in any mode, the pinpoint didn't work,it would switch modes randomly, and was unusable. Have you you had any problems with yours?
Yes, I've had the same, it was driving me crazy. Then I thought what could be the source of this. Those low profile sandwiched button probably. Yes.
So I took the front plate off and just gently pushed the clear plastic forward from the back/inside, I could head some double-sided adhesive licking it's way away, helping the buttons to separate. It now works fine, as it did out of the box. A total revelation. If this happens again, I'm going to add a slither of plastic between the buttons and the clear window - just to keep them a bit more separate. Still a great machine!!
I wish someone would do this for the AT Pro.
I also like mine. easy to use, and ID those pesky bottle caps. bounty hunter has a 24 inch lower rod for about $20 for taller people.
I have the fisher F44, but I've never used it. I use my AT Pro religiously.
Are the coils interchangeable ?
Can you use the 9 inch from the Fisher f22 on this f44
Yes indeed - those coils are interchangeable.
Tarheel Diggin'
Thank you very much!
So i am new to detecting and to the F44. You said, in custom mode, you had the "tones set" How did you set the tones? What did you mean?
Great question, Charles! First, congrats on your F44 - excellent choice. Regarding the tones in Custom Mode, refer to the bottom of page 18 in your user's manual. The section titled, "Custom Mode Programmable Tones". Should tell you everything you need to know. HH!
Thanks, I have been getting some nice finds lately, but i will be checking out the Custom mode.
It never seems to be in ground balance what's up with that
Hi, VDI for gold please?
Подскажите как сбросить до заводских настроек
How does this compare to the Gold Bug Pro??
I've never used the Gold Bug, but I believe it runs at a higher frequency and may be better at picking up smaller targets.
like!good luck!
All metal mode is depther than others modes?
Yes, because it uses no discrimination it can detect deeper than other modes.
@@TarheelDiggin and if I make custom mode without discrimination then will it be the same depth? as all metal
@@thew4522 actually All Metal is the same depth, but with sensitively on 20 it will be constantly squeaking, so it needs a sensitivity setting of about 17 to quieten it - actually reducing it's depth! I'd recommend either Custom (no notching) or Artefact mode ...and I can run these at a maximum sensitivity, 20. In any case depth is slightly overrated.
@@juliansimmons7700 I agree, it's all about the girth 👍🏼
I have dug up so many nails reading 80's high tone-what gives? I have been running in coin mode with my new F44.
Yes, the F44 will pick up a big nail from time to time. But, you can learn to tell the difference. The VDI reading will bounce around a lot on a nail. It'll hit 80, then 61, 82, 64, 88, 81, 66, 75... and so on. It doesn't usually lock in at 85 on a nail on every pass. However, coins will give you a much more consistent number - 82, 81, 83, 82, 81, 82. Also, when you hit a good signal, turn 90 degrees and swing over the object. Iron will usually change to a grunt, but coins will still hit solid from most any direction. Believe me, I dug a lot of nails before I figured this out. You're not alone! Good luck out there. HH!
