    I just got this detector for Christmas and I love all the new added features they offer. Now I've got the f22 and f44 and I currently use the f44 on my RUclips videos.

      +Darla Seefluth Wow - that's quite a compliment, Darla! I know you watch a lot of detecting videos, so thank you very much for that. Anytime I review a machine, my viewers will ALWAYS get my honest opinion. As you can tell, I was pretty impressed with this machine. Great value here! HH!

    I do have chronic back issues, so I really liked that you said it was very light; that is right up my alley.

      +DocLarsen44 Yes, this machine is really light, Doc - I hunted for 5 hours at that plantation and we even hit another location for an hour on the way home. The next day, I felt really good - no pain. HH!

    I love it how companies are now focusing on those machines in the low to mid range categories! It's possible to get a very good unit for less than $400.

      +The Hoover Boys Thanks Kurt! We've been over that property many times with the AT-Pro and E-Trac, so it was nice to see another machine sniff out a few goodies. Always something in the ground around those old plantation homes. Thanks for watching! HH

    Fantastic review well put together and easy to understand.
    I think this machine would be perfect here in the UK, and the ability to detect in all weather's is a real bonus.
    Mine is now on order.
    Thank's again.

    I have the ACE 250 right now and plan to get the Fisher F 44 as a mid level machine because right now the ACE 250 is in beginner machine and I feel that I want to upgrade to a higher end machine plan to get it around Christmas time so not that long to wait happy hunting

      +swanzeysearcher Thanks Brandon - the market seems to be flooded with machines in this price range these days. I gotta say, this one is going to be tough to beat at that price. Can't wait to take it back into some areas I've hit hard with the E-Trac and see what turns up. Thanks for watching - HH!

    • @jtpseshark
      @jtpseshark 9 лет назад

      +Tarheel Diggin' fisher said f5 coil will work but I've got an f70 and the round coil from it seems to work. Didn't know if was a marketing tactic to sell equipment or what. This f44 I got beginning of July and I've got a big braided silver chain, a Trime and lots of clad. I'm very impressed with it so far. I'm in Indiana so we do a lot of field hunting. My biggest complaint is drop forged nails iron separation. They hit 20-30's the once home opens up a little higher. Drives me nuts! Thanks for a great review by the way.

  • @THing4CSA

    Thank you for a very impressive video explaining the F44. I do have a question for you about the F44. Where does a headphone plug in? I tend to use headphones as I like to listen for those more faint signals as they do tend to be deeper and smaller targets. This does look like one fine detector. Weight wise I know my Fellow TH'ers in Virginia would be interested and with the price even more so! I have gotten two of my detectors from Kellyco and will use them for my next detector as well. Great prices and super service. I also love all the extras that Kellyco throws in when you buy a detector from them. Congrats again and hope to see you find more goodies in your next video! ;-) Dave

    • @TarheelDiggin
      @TarheelDiggin  9 лет назад

      +THing4CSA Thanks for watching, Dave - and thanks so much for the feedback! The headphone plug is at the base of the control box. They have a rubber cover over it to protect from moisture getting inside. I also hunt with headphones as you can really hear the faint signals better. It's a great machine for the money! HH

    • @THing4CSA
      @THing4CSA 9 лет назад

      +Tarheel Diggin' Thanks I had to watch the video a 2nd time in order to see where the headphone jack was located. I have watched other videos and am amazed at the number of TH'ers that do not use headphones, pin pointers, gloves, or dig wildly with very large shovels. I tend to be as careful as I can as I hate to damage anything that might be in the ground. True even the best has an off day from time to time. I have dinged a few coins and nicked a couple of Civil War bullets. Congrats about all the super finds and a very nice detector. Good luck with all your future searches. ;-) Dave

    Hey Matt, another great video and review. I got rained out today with my White's MXT,, so the weatherproof certainly caught my attention. I see you mentioned recovery time in the comments,,, how's the pinpointing feature? - Jason

    • @TarheelDiggin
      @TarheelDiggin  9 лет назад

      +GA1dad Thanks for watching, Jason - I had no problems with the pinpointing on this unit. Seems to be very accurate as you could tell by the location of the objects in my plug. It's always difficult to pinpoint objects in iron-infested ground, but this unit did pretty darn good. But that's pretty typical of these Fisher products. HH!

    Thanks for the video on the 44. I preordered one and got one of the first kelly co sent out. I love mine! I was wondering how do you think it compares to the AT Pro? I've never used an AT but know a lot of folks really like them. Just wondering if you had any thoughts. Thanks!

    • @TarheelDiggin
      @TarheelDiggin  8 лет назад

      +Tyler Williams Yes, the AT-Pro is a very popular machine, and that reputation is well-deserved. The fact that it's completely waterproof is a huge asset. It has more features than the F44, especially when it comes to discrimination settings. Because of it's popularity, there are several after market coils available for the AT-Pro which makes it an extremely versatile machine. That being said, the F44 has 2 features the AT-Pro does not... 1) Lighted display screen for hunting after dark. 2) Weight. The F44 is much lighter than the Pro.

    Looks like a great machine Matt! Thanks for the review....How did the batteries hold up?

    • @TarheelDiggin
      @TarheelDiggin  9 лет назад

      +Diggin Freedom Thanks Frank - batteries are doing well. I've been running this machine for about 8 hours now, and I just lost the first bar on the battery indicator. Still two thirds juiced. If you run with the backlight on high, it will drain much faster according to the manual. Seems very efficient to be running on only two AA bats.

  • @TheGatechBuzz
    @TheGatechBuzz 9 лет назад

    Matt....would u recommend the F44? I'm a Garrett fan and want the AT Pro but that's out of my budget. Have you found it to be a good detector?

    • @TarheelDiggin
      @TarheelDiggin  9 лет назад

      +TheGatechBuzz I've been running the F44 for about a month now, and yes, I would highly recommend it. Nothing wrong with an AT-Pro (best value out there for the $). The F44 is very comparable to the Ace 350, but the F44 has a few more advantages in my opinion. A lot depends on what type of detecting you do. If you want to hunt in the water, you should hold off and buy an AT-Pro... maybe a used one would be in your price range.

    • @TheGatechBuzz
      @TheGatechBuzz 9 лет назад

      +Tarheel Diggin' I use the Ace 350 now and it suits my needs, but it's time Doran upgrade. Maybe be the F44 will be the one. Thanks for your time.
