New locations and recipes, canny! Not sure about autumn like, we were in a blizzard up wasdale Saturday, I think it’s skipped autumn and gone full winter. Class ⛺️🎥
Aye Steve them cold nights are definitely upon us now 🤣, once that sun drops🥶, your sausages in cider looking nice 🤣👌, I’ve never camped on Middleton crags yet, looks like a canny spot, the orange duomid looked great against that autumn sun 👍, was that your dcf trailstar on eBay the other week? I’m definitely fancy getting a silpoly trailstar, just gotta save up for one 🤣, great video as usual mate, good to see your fatha back out too💪, atb Mick 👍
Alright Mick, good to hear from you. Yeah, it was a cracking spot for a camp. Not much of a hike to get there but a great spot for an easy camp. That’s right, I sold my DCF Trailstar on eBay and used the money to by the SilPoly. Love the Trailstar but DCF is just a faff due to its lack of stretch. Amazingly I sold the DCF Trailstar for £110 more than I paid for it on eBay. Got £310 for it and a new SilPoly version is only $230. Well happy with that mate. My Dad managed fine. He’s already smashing the miles in on his bike. Only thing we both struggled with was the bitter cold. All the best mate. Are you getting out? Stephen 🙏
@@belowaveragewildcamper winning mate👍, spot on that..I’ve not been camping last few weeks due to a bit of an infection, hopefully out very soon, only went for a walk yesterday to blawerie farm (looks to be a cracking spot for a camp) and the cateran hole for a look out, atb Mick 👍
Yeah, the inner can be a bit of a faff and so once the bugs have gone I can’t see me using it again until spring. Looking forward to receiving my new SilPoly Trailstar. 🥳🥳🥳
@belowaveragewildcamper exciting times. Its quite mild down here but yup in average cold Inc freezing weather an inner makes no sense in that type of shelter.
Hi, my version in the SilNylon which isn’t available anymore but I think it’s around 500grams. The material they now use is the SilPoly which is around about the same weight. There’s a DCF version which is a bit lighter but about twice the price 😬 All the best mate. 🙏 mountainlaureldesigns.com/product/duomid/
@@belowaveragewildcamper Thank you for your reply. I have purchased a set of combinations from the official website, so I would like to ask if the actual weight will be greater than the official data~
@@San-rd9hd The quoted weight is accurate I believe, but once you attach the guy lines the weight will increase. Hope that helps. What colour did you go for? I hope you enjoy your new shelter. I have just recently purchased a new Trailstar in SilPoly (citrus orange) from MLD. Can't wait to try it out.
@@belowaveragewildcamper I bought orange duomid and solomid InnerNets. I haven’t received them yet, but I can already imagine how happy I will be after receiving them, haha
