Hi! At 3:50. Converting mailboxes between shared and user does work with Business basic too. Don’t know if this is a recent change but I have never encountered an error doing this. Just tried this in a tenant with only basic licenses and it worked.

Hi Andy, great content. I would just add something. Shared mailboxes with over 50 GB will need Exchange Online plan 2 license. Those who are converting larger mailboxes needs to be aware.
@3:21 - what happens to the user account after the conversion ? - can we delete the user account ? - does the Microsoft 365 license get auto remove from that user ? - can we move the mailbox to another user or move just the emails/contacts/calendar ?
It’s shared between users that you setup. Yea you can delete the original user, licence is removed when you delete user. No you cannot move the mailbox as it’s in use. docs.microsoft.com/en-us/exchange/collaboration-exo/shared-mailboxes

Great , I have question please , I converted a mailbox to shared mailbox and gave myself full access so it was auto mapped to my outlook no problem , but When I go to outlook settings I can not find the OST file , where it is saved , I went to my outlook account settings and checked all accounts there i can not even find it there under additional mailboxes , could you please do some testing and see where does auto mapped shared mailboxes save their OST file on outlook .
Near the end you talk about a 365 group "shared mailbox" but this group mailbox doesn't behave like a mailbox. You can't create folders, members can't delete items, and items can't be categorized for example.

Was curious if you wanted to give just mailbox access without calendar, without tasks, etc. to another user, how would you accomplish this? When I add additional users, their tasks, calendar, etc. are coming into the Outlook, which is not what we're looking to achieve. I got around it by mapping the emails as IMAP's for now but it's a really messy solution, would prefer to do it properly... thank you for your time! Cheers

Great content and timely as always! Do you have any thoughts on being able to provide access to a "Shared Mailbox" for a B2B account (such as an MSSP)? We're trying to avoid needing to onboard these external identities and take advantage of "External Identities" capabilities and B2B/Cross-tenant federation. Cheers!

However, the members of a team always have to manually change the send from address to the team address. That is because you can't set it as the default. The only solution I can find is to make a normal mailbox and add that as an account in outlook

Yes you can use power automate to create an automation easily
