Hi Andy - Could you please do a video explaining how litigiation hold when set to true, for unlimited time and Inactive mailboxes consumes pooled storage ( i.e for Edu tenants) I think it does?

Hi thanks for the Video. Also i see users, who are always confused with setting up their "ScanToMail" function. You can just create a user with "SMTP Authentification". It would be cool, if you can mention that, since that would help a lot of newcomers into this =) A Question of mine: How can i create a poliys, where the username will be then displayed with their position in the company? As example: User1 Kirk - Sales

What if the domain is owned by google and i want to see the messages in outlook of O365 without having to migrate emails to exchange? Would that be possible. The outlook desktop app allows google emails to be used.
Yes but you would need to carelfully select licences not to include a mailbox. This is tricky though as you may find many features will be limited, for example Teams etc as they rely on a 365 mailbox.
I'm interested in HIPAA (health information) compliance. Where can I start to investigate how to obtain this for my users?

Andy question when we create AD account it then creates an email account in 365 fir you the. You add a licence. When you create Azure AD user account - does it do the same in azure or do you manually have to create a user email account on 365? Common question people ask
When you create an Azure AD / M365 account and licence it (they are the same) it creates a mailbox automatically

thanks for the interesting lesson, it turns out there is no need to create an account through Active Directory?
I never created an account in Active Directory as this is an on premises technology. However, you do need to create an account in Azure AD and licenses, accordingly, which will intern create a mailbox.

I am developer coming from Azure Entra ID & Azure AD experience. I am struggling with the terminology, and can't find the answer for this: is Microsoft Exchange Server ID is the same as the Microsoft Entra ID Tenant ID (aka Azure Active Directory Tenant ID)?

Hi Andy, I gave a user Full Access to a Mailbox of another user who left. But the new user cannot access the Calendar to manage the apointments of the old user. Any idea on how to achieve that? :(
If its a cloud user then calendars etc are seperate from mailboxes. Take a look in exchange online, org sharing.

This is an admin feature. An administrator can do this for you in the exchange admin centre and Microsoft 365 admin centre.

You most certainly can, if you go into Microsoft purview, data, life-cycle management, there are options in here that allow you to import, and export content

Why would my customer receive my emails 3 hours after sending? I am not doing any marketing blast
It could be a number of reasons, bad connectivity, mailbox rules, anti-malware, antivirus, delays on the vendor part.
