  • In 2013 I was invited on an expedition to Greenland to attempt the 1000m unclimbed east face of the Horn of Upernavik. At the time I'd never climbed more than a few pitches in a row, it was a wild adventure that changed the course of my life, slingshotting me into a life of climbing. Ten years later, I finally got around to sorting through the footage from that trip!

I climbed the Uummannaq mountain back in 1984 .. no gear, 2 water containers and 9 "guldbar" chocolate bars (1190 meters) .. but that what from the backside (easier climb) the rocks in that area are very crunchy with few pure granite surfaces 🙂 .. I also climbed Mt. Blanc later, a complete different story :)

I think I'd climbed around 8b/13+ on sport, but was very new to adventure climbing! :)
