Absolutely disagree, I find it's UI/UX generic, ugly and outdated, straight from Android 6.0 era. Too bloated and bulky for average user, just like Discord. Not to mention it's Russian, so instant no-go.

I bought iQOO 13 from Indonesia and it didn't come default with Google messaging like it does in India.. So now I no longer use rcs i don't want to install 2 messaging apps
In WhatsApp if the voice message is playing and you bring the phone earpiece at the ears the speaker audio switches to ear piece, private listening mode. Handy if you don't have the earphones or earbuds and want to listen to the voice message in a public place
meta messaging featured is fractured between whatsapp and messenger but i hope they merge the messenger to the app like other app(insta/thread) with minimal feature and focus on to add all the messaging feature in whatsapp and improve it

Forgot to mention a few things. 1- all the thing in RCS are not available for everyone. 2- forgot to mention the video integration in whatsapp. Didnt ever mention that, something that rcs suport if the other person has google meet, which half of the community have no idea what goole meet is. Last thing because there were so many mistakes. In the last one with the time when every message was sent. Google Messages wont even take over in US either, that market is dominated by iMessages. Google has been trying real hard but WhatsApp's network effect is so Huge that its an impossible task for G messages. I mean Google messages app has the best advantage that an app can have which is that it comes pre installed on every android phone sold in the last 4-5 years, whereas whatsapp had to overcome a friction which is that people have to download it by going to play store. But people are still wiling to do that instead opting for GMessages. Thats should tell you how dominant Whatsapp really is.

A lot of annoying problem in Google msg also they send sponsered ad promo msg too much. They can't generate contact icon for sms or merge similar sms togather. U can't select multiple chats for spam. Opening company sms everytime asking to save contact or report and unnecessary notice that u can't reply on this chat. Chat n sms should hv different tabs. A lot more problems.

Google messages is almost unusable. First of all it's ugly, like It couldn't be any less clean looking. The Emojis look terrible and so do all the stickers and reactions. The messaging also doesn't seem consistent. Often times messages are either not delivered/received or are received and sent multiple times. In typical Google fashion, they do finally do something and it's half-assed. Instead of fixing this app and making it less ugly they'll probably release a new app and eventually kill this one. It's the same formula they always follow.

I have a Samsung phone and it works all the time if there's internet around. If there isn't you go MMS or SMS whilst in WhatsApp the app just doesn't work. If RCS isn't working it's because of the network not the phone or the app. Contact your carrier

This is not SMS, am comparing RCS Messaging which is similar to WhatsApp and Telegram.
Problem with Telegram is that it doesn't have normal group calls, and group chats have too many settings that it's not suitable for friends and family
