This song came out in 1996 on their White Light, White Heat, White Trash album. The song is about his bad behavior and rage against society. He was a high school dropout, kicked out of his house as a teen, he's been arrested and a drug addict.

I’ve been a fan of SD since I first heard the album Mommy’s Little Monster in the 80’s(yeah I don’t remember what year anymore), the first time I saw them, they were playing at a bar (Peabody’s down under) in the flats in Cleveland, my friend Rose & I get there early and Mike ness is at the bar having a drink, got his autograph on a dollar bill (still have) and after the show we walked back stage, which was just curtain, and met Dennis Danell the guitarist. I think this was back in 87-88. I moved to SoCal in 89.
Hot take... I'll get some flack for this and that's OK. First, Social D is a great band....no denying that. However, this band more than any other have always hit the ebb and flow of what I want to hear. One day, they're great to me, next day, they're trash to me. I don't know what it is with them. Regardless, this is one of their 10 out of 10 songs for me.
I’m with ya Tim. Couldn’t agree more about how I’ve always felt about Social D. White Light is definitely the one album out of their catalog though that I’ll sit and listen all or most of the way through.
It’s similar for me in that there are 30 or so of their songs that I would listen to at any time ever, and then I can’t be bothered to listen to the rest. Very hot and cold for me.
SD's biggest hits were very scripted. Verse, chorus, verse, chorus, bridge, chorus. But damn if the songwriting wasn't anything but tight and meaningful, the melodies were loud and crunchy, and the vocals were gritty and passionate. Love this, guys. I'm glad to see you guys listen to more of them.
Yea but all their songs were except maybe songs like "indulgence " from Prison Bound which is almost an instrumental......simple formula done to melodic perfection

Guys please do "When She Begins" I by Social D its an amazing upbeat song.
