    My baby has very sensitive skin and had spots of eczema. After a lot of trial and error, the ONLY THING THAT WORKED WAS BREASTMILK. And it worked incredibly. I also use it as diaper rash cream. Truly amazing for us. A little actually goes a long way. It’s all I use now for his skin. I also stopped cleaning his face with paper towels after meals and only use organic cotton cloths.

    I had an hsg while we were trying to conceive my son. It was the worst. And I think made worse by my dr giving me next to no info on what to expect. If my friend hadn’t told me her experience I wouldn’t have been prepared. BRING A PAD, there is blood. At least there was for me and I could not sit at a 90 degree angle for a bit. I know this is not everyone’s experience but we did conceive my son that cycle so very worth it. So in short thank you for sharing this it will be helpful to so many women.

    our bubba girl had terrible eczema all over her body at about 2mths, we even had to take her to the ER cos it had worsened despite 2 weeks of steroids and she had a mild fever - the doc there told us to make sure she was a "wet baby", ie ALWAYS lathered with moisturiser - u can never have too much. so at every diaper change she gets slathered. she still wasn't improving so we got prescribed protopic and aveeno eczema care moisturiser. thankfully at this point it started to clear, im not sure if it was just time, or the aveeno moisturiser, but we havent needed the protopic yet. so anecdotally i can recommend aveeno eczema moisturiser, we still coat her in it constantly and she has a bath every other day with their baby bath oatmeal treatment. it was just what randomly worked for us, if anyone is looking for something to try :)

    Calendula cream is expensive but excellent for most skin rashes- California Baby brand is good it is all natural and its a miracle on problem rashes. I am an RN and have seen results from different products.

    Is this where we put new questions for the following week? Just had a bleeding scare (baby's vitals are good, but now have to go get retested to confirm rising hcg). My Q is, what would cause bleeding in a "healthy" pregnancy?

    Very timely! I just made an eczema follow up appointment with the pediatrician for later this week. I’ve tried all your suggestions so I’m wondering if the rash is not eczema? It’s not really dry skin but red bumps.
    Anyway, I have a question. I’m almost 8 months postpartum and had an unplanned C-section. The area around my incision scar still feels tight (best way I can describe it). What is the range of normal to be feeling at this point? Should I feel normal by now? Will I ever? Thank you for your channel!

    • @CCAnne
      @CCAnne Год назад

      Where my scar is from my abdominal surgery when I had a tummy tuck an muscle reconstruction after a very bad hernia removal, the entire area is still numbish it was 10 years ago already 😳 so sometimes I don’t think it does return to normal I asked my ob about it because I’m terrified if I need a c section with this baby I’m having my 4th and final addition in a few weeks. I’m worried I won’t know if I’m really numb until gosh forbid they really open me up, because if they touch or rub the scalpel along the area I can’t feel that area. She assured me there are other ways to test but also said this happens a lot where feeling doesn’t entirely return, and it feels very tight.

    • @melanygalvez9192
      @melanygalvez9192 Год назад

      Thank you for sharing and good luck with your new addition! When they were prepping me for C-section they tested whether I could feel anything starting around my chest I think and moving down. So as long as you have feeling now higher up on your abdomen or near your ribs I don’t think there will be any issue knowing whether you are adequately numbed!

    My daughter is a new breastfeeding mom (my grandson is one month old). She has been struggling with a blocked milk duck for about two weeks and receiving conflicting information. She has tried everything, including lymphatic drainage massage. However, she is still in pain, which is seriously impacting her joy in breastfeeding. Any suggestions?

    Sadly with my 3d I had the worst doctor my son was puking up his milk and he told me it was normal and told me that it was the pacifier then they freaked out when he wasn’t gaining weight is sad not everyone listens

      similar story. My daughter was puking a ton every time she was breastfed. We told the pediatrician & they said it was normal. She was also underweight. I heard lots of moms in this situation that swore by chiropractic care for their baby. I discussed this with my daughter’s pediatrician. She said she didn’t recommend it because it could be very unsafe. However, she recommended we incorporate formula to help her gain weight. If she kept barfing, we could try medication. I found a chiropractor that specializes in adjusting babies. Within 3 adjustments, my daughter was no longer throwing up.

    I have a baby who was born June 2021. I breast fed her exclusively. I never got my period, but in February of 2022 I got pregnant again. I found out in March that I was 4 weeks pregnant when I went in for a Pap smear. I started bleeding a bit, and at my 8 week appointment, they said everything looked okay. There was a heartbeat, and baby was actually measuring 7 weeks. They told me I may be bleeding because of breast feeding, so they suggested I wean off. I bled a lot after that, but then stopped once I stopped breast feeding. Two weeks later I had another appointment, and they said there was no heartbeat and the baby was still measuring 7 weeks. I ended up having a miscarriage the next week. Could I have miscarried because of breast feeding? I’m so worried to get pregnant again and have to go through it all again. I’m not breastfeeding now, so I’m hoping that was the only reason it happened, and I’ll be fine this time💜

      Honestly. No! Millions of women nurse for years and carry out pregnancy just fine. Granted everybody is different and some people are more hormonal than others. But nursing shouldn’t cause a miscarriage.

    What should I expect in delivery, if baby has a big head (and is measuring big overall)?

    • @andchildren
      @andchildren 2 года назад

      Remember that baby’s skull plates shift and head size will change as they go down your birth canal, while your pelvis is also flexing to allow baby to pass through. Trust that your body won’t grow a baby you can’t birth unless you have an uncontrolled medical condition like gestational diabetes. Not to mention the unreliability of ultrasound measurements! Explore different birth positions that change the size of your pelvic inlet and outlet, good luck

    A nurse & a pediatrician once told me to not put lotion on my 2 week old because it could go in her bloodstream which can be harmful, but her skin is sooo dry, what’s your stance on this?

    • @OrangeFluffyCat

      Like they said in this video, try an ointment, like vaseline or Aquaphor ointment to lock in moisture, especially after a bath.
      Also, not sure what ingredients your child’s healthcare providers think will be absorbed, but an unscented baby lotion should be fine. Hope the Dr’s B answer that one.

    I have a question about breast feeding. I have hyperemesis gravidarum to the point of loosing 14 kg at 20 weeks pregnant and being hospitalised. I have been preached at on mummy site about breast feeding but honestly just feel too weak to attempt it. Is it ever a better idea not to breast feed?

    I assisted with several HSGs as a Radiologic Technologist, and it seemed like almost every patient was screaming in pain. Then I had one myself during my journey with infertility, and it wasn’t painful at all. I’m beginning to wonder if coincidentally all of those patients had blocked tubes, or low pain tolerance, or perhaps I just have a high pain tolerance? 🤔🤷🏼‍♀️ My 2 attempted IUIs were WAY worse than my HSG. 😅

    • @TooSquareProductions
      @TooSquareProductions 2 года назад

      I was fortunate enough to get pregnant in my battle with infertility -I would rather go through natural childbirth a dozen times than ever have an HSG done again. I am petrified of ever having to go through that procedure again.

  • @cambrimorris3955
    @cambrimorris3955 2 года назад

    Why would you need an HSG test?

    • @TooSquareProductions
      @TooSquareProductions 2 года назад

      The test is used in infertility testing to determine if there is even a possibility of sperm meeting an egg. The results determine the next course course of action in attempting pregnancy. Open tube(s) mean medications or IUI are viable options to exhaust before deciding between IVF and childfree/no subsequent pregnancies.
