      @premomfertility  Год назад +1

      It is not uncommon for some women to experience a brief, intense pain or discomfort in the lower abdomen or pelvic region when ovulating but it typically occurs on one side of the abdomen or the other, depending on which ovary is releasing an egg.

    My mom had her first baby at 17 and last baby at 40. When it comes to how slowly or quickly a woman's egg quality decreases with age, is there any kind of genetic factor? Like is it possible that I'd also be able to have children this late?

    • @premomfertility
      @premomfertility  10 месяцев назад +1

      In addition to age, fertility is actually impacted by several other factors, including medical history, lifestyle choices, etc. So having a parent who can conceive at 40s doesn't guarantee it will be the same for you. It's best to focus on YOUR fertility health and pay attention to each aspect of your cycle so you can notice if things aren't adding up. Good luck!

    I am 2 weeks late on my period. I had implantation bleeding and cramps for about two days. I took a test on June 29 it’s day positive but then I took another one and it’s says negative. It’s been doing that lately I have gotten blood and ironed test and it’s keeps showing negative.

    • @premomfertility
      @premomfertility  11 месяцев назад +1

      If you are experiencing a delay of two weeks in your period and have had implantation bleeding and cramps, it can be understandably confusing and concerning to receive mixed results on pregnancy tests. Implantation bleeding, which occurs when a fertilized egg implants itself into the uterine lining, can sometimes be mistaken for a light period. However, the timing and duration of implantation bleeding can vary from person to person. Regarding the pregnancy test results, it's important to note that false negatives can occur, especially if the test is taken too early or if the levels of the pregnancy hormone hCG in your body are still too low to be detected. It's recommended to wait a few more days and retest, or consult with a healthcare professional who can advise you on the best course of action. In some cases, there may be other factors contributing to the delay in your period or the inconsistency in your test results. These can include hormonal imbalances, stress, changes in medication, or underlying health conditions. It may be beneficial to consult with a healthcare professional to investigate further and determine the cause of the delayed period and the varying test results.Wish you good luck!

    • @premomfertility

      It's essential you use a specific thermometer for basal body temperature. The reason being is that a regular thermometer may not provide the level of accuracy required for subtle basal body temperature changes.

    Hi i did ask my doc how it works an she has explained but because i dont have knowledge i have not caught on , so i just wanted to b sure if i understood wat u said ,i do remember u said ovulation occur around 14 days: i mean so if my first day of menses is on say for example 8th of a month so which mean ovulation occurs from 21st to 25th of that month so which means the 21st to 25th of the month a person would conceive is this wat u said?an on other hand if say the 1st day of the month is my 1st day of my cycle then il conceive on 14 to 17 of the month , is that how it works or thats what u meant?

    • @premomfertility
      @premomfertility  7 месяцев назад

      Yes, you have understood the basic concept correctly. Ovulation typically occurs around the middle of the menstrual cycle, which is usually considered to be on or around day 14 if you have a 28-day cycle. However, it's important to note that not all women have a 28-day cycle, and cycles can vary from person to person. You may consult with a healthcare provider, specifically a reproductive health specialist or a gynecologist. They can provide personalized guidance and advice based on your circumstances.

    • @premomfertility
      @premomfertility  2 месяца назад

      It's important to recognize that every pregnancy is unique, and the actual duration can vary from person to person and even from pregnancy to pregnancy within the same individual. While the average pregnancy lasts around 40 weeks from the first day of the last menstrual period (LMP), some pregnancies may be slightly shorter or longer due to factors such as variations in ovulation timing, gestational age at birth, and individual differences in fetal development.

    All of these changes sound pretty extreme especially since there are tons of women who don’t do any of this except maybe stop smoking and drinking. Cut out fabric softener and scented candles?! Sounds stressful for a person and their partner. Stress seems worse than the other things listed when trying to conceive…

    • @premomfertility
      @premomfertility  Год назад +2

      I understand that some of the changes that are recommended for couples trying to conceive may seem extreme, and it can be stressful to make all of these changes at once. It's important to find a balance between making healthy changes and managing stress levels. If cutting out fabric softener and scented candles is too stressful for a person or their partner, they may want to focus on making other changes that feel more manageable. The most important thing is to prioritize overall health and well-being, both for the sake of fertility and for long-term health.❤

      Generally, the average cycle length is 21-35 days. Based on the information provided, your past menstrual cycle appears to be approximately 15 days long. Ovulation typically occurs around the midpoint of your menstrual cycle. However, it's essential to note that every woman's cycle length and ovulation timing can vary. You might consider using ovulation predictor kits or tracking your basal body temperature, changes in cervical mucus consistency to pinpoint ovulation more accurately in the next cycle. Be well🤞💕

    Hey doc. Does Sildenafil negatively affect sperm?

    • @premomfertility
      @premomfertility  4 месяца назад

      Sildenafil, commonly known by its brand name Viagra, is primarily used to treat erectile dysfunction in men. While its primary function is not related to sperm production or quality, there have been some studies examining the effects of sildenafil on sperm.
      Research in this area is somewhat limited, but some studies suggest that sildenafil may have a minor effect on sperm parameters such as sperm count, motility, and morphology. However, the findings are not consistent across all studies, and the effects, if any, are generally considered to be mild.
      It's important to note that the effects of sildenafil on sperm are not well understood, and further research is needed to determine any potential long-term consequences. Additionally, any potential impact on sperm may not necessarily translate to decreased fertility or reproductive outcomes.
      If you have concerns about the effects of sildenafil on sperm or fertility, it's best to consult with a healthcare professional. They can provide personalized advice based on your individual health status and medical history.

    My fiancée and I are having sex a lot during fertility window and my day of ovulation. We are trying our best. He doesn’t use protection. He ejected himself in me and put sperm in and then he goes out. He know when my fertile window is open.

      Having unprotected sex during your most fertile time significantly increases the chance of pregnancy. Good luck!

    Hello, could you please tell me what are the chances of getting pregnant from pre-cum on the day after peak ovulation?

      The chances of getting pregnant from pre-cum are lower than from ejaculate, but it's still possible. If you had unprotected sex on the day after your peak ovulation, there's a risk of pregnancy. The exact likelihood depends on various factors. If you're worried, consider emergency contraception or speak with a healthcare provider.

    Hi like i explained to u that i never knew anythin before, only because of u i got little knowledge ,so i never had any knowledge, ,before so i never knew health an fertility is connected , i never knew u pregnant for 9 month , i never knew u if u have your period u not pregnant, u cannot b pregnant i never knew, i never knew that u not allowed to eat certain foods , , now i know these but before no , anyway sumthin i wanted u to know that i met sum1 on 11/4/24 Thursday but im not sure if its true, so i thought to ask u ,sum1 told me shes 2 weeks pregnant and delivery/ birth is Aug 2024 so once i heard this info i assumed that she fell pregnant in march/ april 2024 so did she really conceive in march/ Apr 2024 , if a person fell pregnant march/ Apr in 2024 then she wil give birth 2024 August ?or for example person gave birth 2021 Aug so she fell pregnant 2021 march/ 2021 april ?

      Hi! I'm so glad you've gained new knowledge! About your question, if someone is 2 weeks pregnant around mid-April, the conception likely occurred in early April. Typically, a pregnancy lasts about 9 months, so a conception in March/April would lead to a delivery around December/January, not August. If someone gave birth in August 2021, they likely conceived around November/December 2020. Hope that helps! 😊
