Awsome, I didn't know you could hide sheets :o. PS: For all the people scared of leaking info, just make a copy of your workbook and delete the cells you want to keep concealed. Youre not sending the data if it is simply not there ;)
Agreed and actually your suggestion is the ideal choice. Saving the workbook specifically for that client, renamed & saved under your client file data and modify the data you want to send, specific to that client.

To hide a particular column, Profit in this case.. We can simply make a copy of this worksheet and delete the column, which we can do very quickly and share the same sheet with the concerned person, no need to use hide option or any trick. Until it is a shared excel sheet over internet, it works fine.

I've also found that using a simple ='sheet1'!A1 formula clicked and dragged to autofill only the rows, columns, etc I want to share onto a second sheet, then hiding and password protecting sheet 1, provides that extra security if I need to send the actual workbook rather than a pdf or print. Or copy the workbook, edit the new copy with a title so you know it's a redacted version (Sales 2019a, etc), and delete the private data. Really loving this series! Highly recommending it to friends and coworkers.
If we cannot totally hide the columns even with the use of a password and still need to send the file in Excel form, what do we need to do? Please response. Thanks~
4:57 Actually in order to protect the Columns and Rows you do not need to print. All you have to do is protect the data at the SHEET LEVEL. You can "Protect The Sheet" the same way you protected the workbook, that way no modifications can be made. Protecting the sheet make all the data for that specific sheet a "READ ONLY" File. I hope this helps.
No if you were going send it you would just delete it. So easy to hack read only
I'm running into an issue where you can simply copy the workbook to a new file and then the user can unhide pages and reveal that data. Any suggestions?
When hiding columns or rows, instead of selecting the row or column u want to hide - right click and hide.Just select the column and drag the column you want to hide.The same can be done for rows.
How can groups of columns or rows be hidden with a drop down menu?
You can hide rows and columns in a sheet by clicking "protect sheet" after hiding those.
I have a column in which the word SODA is in there several times. I need to know how many I have of those.

If you came here looking for how to hide data, right click, format cell, custom, add ;;;. For most it looks like empty cells.
