    * I am aware that one of these videos is satirical, however, there are still many practitioners today that do believe in such practices and as such I felt it was key to mention it*
I have had a lot of requests for me to react to WitchTok (Witchcraft TikTok), so today I am. Please note that these are merely my opinions on the subject, everyone is entitled to their own and this is in no way me trying to bash, or hurt anyone else. Witchcraft is a very personal practice and everyone will practice it in a different way.

I would love to hear your opinions on a video I watched recently. I doesn't have to do with witchcraft, but I feel like some of points she made are important and definitely apply. The name of the video is "Why "new age to Jesus" is the new thing." ruclips.net/video/uqaX2yzmT9g/видео.html. I noticed that a lot of the same topic was coming up in my recommended feed recently and then she posted this. Even before she posted the video, I got curious and clicked on a few of the videos and honestly, I was already thinking along the lines she touched on in the video. It's a pretty long video if you decide to watch, I had it on while was doing breakfast, but no pressure, feel free to say no, it's ok, because I understand that everything isn't for everybody. Cheers

Different idea but you could visit witch grave Sarah Wrench killed 6th May 1848 age 15 yr 5 months for getting preggers by the devil (more like abused and covered up). They put a iron cage over her grave. Very sad story but very spiritual to visit (no evil forces). She died called a witch so us witches should show or thanks and love to her. It is on the web and has been on tv but the grave is neglected. I travelled 5 hours to give her flowers, so can only go once in a blue moon (not literally). Just an idea for the future.

Important note for beginners: Witchtok does have a lot of false claims on it. The rumors that go around on it are wild. Please be careful and do outside research.
In fact, some witchtok creators moved to the tags practitionertok, phoenixtok, occulttok, and much more. I'd love to see Hearth look into those tags too if she ever feels up to it.

The only time i've ever had a pendulum, I was drawn to it at a festival. A woman who owns a crystal shop was selling them, it was a Bloodstone. It worked so well for me, but at some point it turned on me or something attached to it. I was feeling awful and freaking out daily.
I went to a nearby small river, placed it in its bag and prepared to launch it into the water. The wind started swirling, birds stopped chirping and I started crying. Sticks all around me in the woods started to snap and crunch without anything there. I screamed at whoever, or whatever, it was to leave me alone and threw the pendulum. The second it hit the running water everything stopped and I could breath again.

We witches can understand the clip because there are indeed new age witches like that XD. Non practitioners on the other hand won't understand and that's where explanatory videos like this one come in handy, so I take this vid as a good collaboration between witchtokers and youtubers. It's unfortunate that tik tok only allows for small vids so explanations aren't always the main focus.

I've had healthy debates before, but they hardly ever ended in someone saying something like "you're going to hell." Yet, growing up, witchcraft was always seemingly taboo. Even in my community which is quite diverse and open-minded compared to many. After a lifetime of avoidance and denial, I have finally embraced that I am a witch at the age of 30, but I am still afraid to tell others around me about my spiritual standing and identity. (Mini story time: My friend asked me if they could talk to zozo through the board, but I completely mentally freaked out, even though I don’t have much knowledge of the being, but knowing my friend, they probably knew them as an “evil” being, which now that I think of it, ima search that being.)

I've been an on and off practitioner for nearly 20 years. In that time I've amassed a small collection of relevant (for me) crystals and rocks. There have been points, when I stop my practice, that I've put them away or misplaced them, for years. Somehow, they always find their way back to me when I start up again.
When I was young, I felt attracted to crystals that had protective and healing properties to them. Because even though I hadn't learned that information yet, they were what I needed.
Even though I leave every so often, I always, always come back to the craft.

I still remember when I used to buy most of my witch supplies at Tesco or Poundland when I was in the UK.
There was an esoteric store in the city I was living that I always wanted to buy something from but whenever I went to check out prices it was too expensive for my merely-surviving-student budget.
Basically, this was the reason (also because I was living on a student accommodation that didn't allow candles or incense) why I ended up substituting any candles for a flashlight or instead or burning my sigils I used to rip them and either throw them in the paper bin.
Sometimes the best a witch can do is to adapt themselves to their situation.

That spider bit was funny. Where my house is, we just have them everywhere and I never question it. Except one night, we discover a giant nocturnal orb weaver (I think, I cannot quite remember) has built a gorgeous web across our front door. Next morning, gone. That night, she was back. She’d pack up every day and be back at night and the entire thing happened during a very specific event that I was dealing with. Once the whole issue was kinda over, the spider didn’t come back. The ONLY time I’ve ever stopped to consider the spider was a “sign” considered she PUT HERSELF DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF MY DOOR EVERY NIGHT. But the spiders I see every day? Just spiders. 😂

Fr tho about Dionysus, I'm fairly certain I *did* get a sign. My grandpa owns a winery and while I was visiting him, I showed interest in taking the winery over eventually. On my way home a few days later, while still in wine country, the song "Cult of Dionysus" came up on the radio.
Although, I am also aware it could just be a popular song for the area because it's about the wine god. I'm not super invested in witchcraft right now, but it is super interesting to me.

My own hasn't been quite that intense, but it was somewhat triggered by my life long best friend kind of disowning me. It's true that spiritual awakenings seem to be coupled with particularly emotional turbulence. I think that's why our entire planet, and particularly the U.S. and other western civilization countries, are seemingly so crazy right now. We have to go through intense turbulence in order to learn the right lessons and become more self-aware and balanced. I hope your future is full of positive growth and joy, that you stay safe and healthy, and that the blessings of your Gods, Goddesses, God, or Goddess (or simply the Univers) are with you.

Some notes I like to give to those just getting into tarot is to keep some kind of log or journal for maybe a daily/weekly self tarot (firstly in general it's a very good practice for anything you're working with so that you can reference later but) to further tap into your relationship with your cards and understand what the reading is without relying ONLY on its book definition:
    - write a little about why you're reading and what you may be looking to figure out
    - keep any side notes that may stand out to you about the process of the reading
(ie: a recent spread of mine had me lay the cards in a different order than I set out to in the spread. I still placed them in the reading order 1, 2, 3 but they wanted to be laid dow 2, 1, 3 and after revealing them I understood why because it would have reaaaallllly changed the messege)
    - write anything that stands out to you about what you are seeing on the card and how it makes you feel
    - write any side notes that stand out to you when reading the book's descriptions
    - write any questions you may still have
    - write each of the ways you feel like the reading answered your original question(s) - (yes, there can be more than one answer to a single question)
I hope this helps anyone along their journey!
I personally have a dragon deck and it's always been very blunt and even a little sarcastic with me. But, my most recent reading was really chill and reassuring. I had a lot going on, was in the middle of making a really big change to deal with the toxicity.
The spread (and their cards) were:
1 - laid down second - "what do I think is going on?" (The Magician - inverterted)
2 - laid down first - "what is really going on?" (7 of Swords - upright)
3 - laid down third - "what, if anything, should I do about it?" (Page of Wands - upright)

It’s still really pretty, it looks beautiful in the midst of other stones and crystals, and if you think about it it’s an INCREDIBLY strong stone. It’s amethyst that has been put through a lot, put through immense heat and pressure, and is still beautiful. I personally use my burnt amethyst as a stone of determination perseverance and strength. It’s also a good symbol of transformation. Same with sea glass

When I first started learning I was so overwhelmed by all the different meanings and trying to connect the card together to the person I was reading, but eventually I just stopped using the guidebook and my readings are so much more cohesive and accurate than ever before. I was putting too much emphasis on ‘doing it right’ and allowing my preconceived notions of the people i was reading to fog my mind. The cards know. All I have to do is recite what they tell me.

I should have known I was going to go down the path of witch craft, there are so many things I did and do that just fit it. (My aunt is Wiccan so I have a family member who i can speak with on certain things.)
    A little story I guess:
I used to raise rabbits when I was in higschool as a passive income and I used to bless each baby before it went to its new home and I made them crowns of clover to signal that they were ready to begin growing (after they began walking is when i would do this.) And back when I was little I would go out into our woodland and make charcoal from the fire pit to draw protective symbols on trees that were unhealthy. Even then I remember seeing and hearing about witch craft but thinking "no, i don't belive in that stuff" but I think it's time to give in and realize it's been calling me.

    Serious question.
Is it normal for witches and wiccans to come up with their own runes? Example: artistic witch craft and or alchemy.

by artistic witch craft would you mean like it having to do with painting, drawings, etc.? bc thats an awesome idea and i was wondering about it too :)

my friend once cheated in mafia with witchcraft
they said they felt "bad vibes" from me when i was the killer and i lost. That is totally cheating

You have been my biggest mentor. I relate to you, and I get so much knowledge from you! If I start my own channel, I will DEFINITELY refer to you. You have so much knowledge, and explain things so simply yet complex. So beginners and excelled witches can learn so much from you. If I have a question, I refer to your videos, take notes, and attach them to my journals. You are my FAVORITE and you’ve taught me 90% of what I learned and believe. Thank you. Keep your witch going strong. People believe and learn from you every day. 💐

I love how you keep neutral pronouns through this video, it’s always a added smile when I hear that from people

You should do a video on the really crappy, cheesy, or fearmongering witchtoks

I give you all the respect I have for your words about therapy. I get sooo upset when people negate things designed to help and force "their easier, positive way" on others. Thank you very much!
