They're not demonic but the idea that they have some mystical healing powers is neither scientific nor biblical, so most Christians don't believe in it. Christians are vary of claims related to supernatural things that don't have biblical support.
Yoga saved my life. I was injured and I could barely walk or even live. I started doing chair yoga and light swimming, mostly floating. I was also doing meditating and sitting in the sun. After 8 weeks, I was starting to heal so well, my doctor thought I was faking my injuries. I've always been more spiritual and also, into my own cultural practices. My thing is I do not bother anyone, I do my thing. I have been openly attacked by so many "Christians", including family, that I just keep doing my thing and ignore them.
As a Christian, I know I can’t make up for what they did but I’m sorry they weren’t respectful of your beliefs

8:00 THIS! I was raised as a devoted Catholic but I've been agnostic for years and now exploring Wicca. I'm moving back to an old apartment full of Catholic figures, crosses, paintings, and stuff... and I'm taking it all out and respectfully donating it to a church. Yoga works wonders for flexibility. They have no idea what they are talking about. Im not Hindu but I was interested in Buddhism for a spell and had a Buddha statue and my twin flipped and now I'm too scared to leave it up but I kinda want to just to spite her. She wares these annoying shirts with Bible verses on them and it's infuriating.

The video of the lady throwing stuff away looked so fake. And as someone who was forced to throw away non Christian books in my teen years, I can tell you most times they don't want you to donate things as then you'll "spread the evil" and it makes you responsible if someone were to take the items.

As a person who grew up Catholic and attend Catholic grade school I now embrace paganism, and enjoy learning about my ancestors from Germany and Ireland, and what they believed in prior to Christianity. These TikTok videos are so disrespectful. Thanks for sharing Ella.
This was so triggering since I grew up in a Christian household and am now a witch. I don't know how I didnt question things more when I thought they didnt make sense or were hypocritical. I have respect for anyone's beliefs but I don't have respect for ignorance and judgement based on ignorance.

I used to try to be the calm one when confronted with militant Christians but now every time i hear them accuse pagans or witches of curses and things, i laugh and just say yep I DID THAT, now move out of my way i got other stuff to do. What has always struck me as interesting is that as witches a lot of these videos reacting to Christianity is basically just kinda funny. We just chuckle at how silly it is. But their videos about us… they want us gone and they’re serious about it. Just like in the past we can still see who’s holding the torches versus who’s being burned.
I'm an ex-Christian turned witch, and I currently own 3 Bibles and a little New Testament. I actually bought one of these Bibles *as a witch.* While I don't subscribe to Christianity anymore, there are a lot of Christian teachings I still hold as sacred to me.
Like loving your neighbor in the same way you love yourself, the karma of "reaping what you sow," the philosophy of "love casts out fear" and "fear does not exist in love/love contains no fear."

Demonizing the evil eye & yoga are so irritating to me. The evil eye is to REPEL evil in so so many cultures across the globe, and the yogic lineage is a sacred spiritual practice from India. I can’t help wondering why Christianity has to be so fear based.. when I was in church it was constant if you don’t do this you’ll go to hell and if someone else believes differently they’re going to hell. It scared the crap out of me as a kid and I’m still trying to get past it. Also it’s a really bloody religion. Killing in his name has happened numerous times. I don’t understand their perspective. I was raised Evangelical. Now I'm a polytheist witch.
Sadly, these sentiments are very common within the Evangelical community.
For some background, Evangelicalism is a philosophy within Christianity that's popular among conservative Christians in the States. It focuses on being born again, of dedicating your life to Jesus, and of spreading the Gospel to non-believers. It also focuses on a belief that humans are inherently wicked, sinful, and impure; that we all deserve to go to Hell; but that Jesus loved us enough to save us, and thus, if we believe in him as the redeemer, we will be able to go to Heaven.
In Evangelicalism there is only two options for an after life: either you believe in Jesus and go to Heaven, or you don't and you go to Hell.
Yet, it's much more complicated than that, and I feel like a lot of behavior is heavily surveilled within members of the community, by members of the community. You can't have sex before marriage, you can't masturbate, you can't play video games, you can't be gay, you can't be trans, you can't read certain books, or watch certain cartoons, and of course, anything that is spiritual or religious that isn't Evangelical Christianity...well, that's demonic and clearly from Satan and meant to lure nonbelievers and believers alike to hell.
The fear of hell is really a central tenet that drives members of Evangelical Christianity to constantly "repent" of their "sins" and try to reach out to "save" nonbelievers from the same fate.
For many reasons, Evangelicalism really wasn't for me. This video reminds me a lot of the sentiments I encountered growing up. I think you did a very respectful and insightful approach. I enjoyed your comparisons of witchcraft to the Bible, although, for Evangelicals, they would refuse to see your reasoning and arguments and just say, "Well that's different." And that of course...witchcraft is evil.

The videos on YT have made me chuckle so I know this will be good. Tiktoks former newage turned Christians have stated they were able to conjure high ranking demons with tiny pieces of rose quartz, something even the most dedicated mystics haven't been able to accomplish, yet a lil piece of rose quartz and a mini jar of moon water had them under demonic attack that Jesus brought them out of 🙄

As an EX-Christian turned pagan, I CONSIDERED throwing away my Bibles (I had 6 around my house) because I didn’t want to promote anyone else picking one of them up because I felt it was so toxic to me, but there’s a difference between coming into that religion and leaving it. LEAVING it I had the sense to think “someone is just going to spend money on a new copy and it’s going to create waste if I throw it out. If someone’s gonna get a Bible, they’re gonna get one anyway, and it’s not my place to tell other people what they can and can’t read or believe.” The whole religion is about telling people what to read and believe though. This is the group of people that still burns books in 2020 despite that NEVER BEING GOOD FOR HISTORY 🙄 Throwing them in the trash was a mercy. But I can get in their head a bit as to why they thought that was a decent idea if they’re trying to prevent people from finding witchcraft (even though REALISTICALLY all they’re doing is getting rid one 1 perfectly usable copy 🙄🙄🙄)
The first video is an American Protestant's POV Christian. They don't use incense or icons. The walls of their churches are usually white and the rarely have stained class windows. They mostly use the Bible and on occasion holy water and a cross in their practice, rarely anything else.
Probably an anti Catholic protestant as well. Many protestants still carry on some Catholic traditions and generally feel positively towards Catholics. Some protestants are wild though and see witchcraft and demons everywhere.
Holy water is cleansing magick. A cross in an amulet. So still hypocritical of them 🤷🏻♀️

As a Christian many of us forget the true meaning of being Christian we are supposed to be kind to others and respect them because in our religion showing kindness and love is the most powerful thing we can do and since many Christians choose to ignore the message and hate others it bring us Christians who actually respect all religions a bad name so trust me when I say this we don’t consider many of the people showed true followers
Christianity is an interesting mix of contradictions. The Council of Nicaea rejected the book of Enoch and so it is not included in the bible. Most Christians have either never heard of the book of Enoch or don't consider it religious text. The catholic church agreed to make their holy days and festivals to closely fit with pagan festivals and holy days to make it easier to convert the "heathens" to Christianity. And most Christians believe that Christianity is the most pure religion out there. What most Christians don't realize, either by ignorance or by design, that Christianity is as much, if not more so, bathed in blood as any other religion. I was a christian most of my life, only recently returning the the worship of my ancestral gods.
The Biblical cannon was not put together at the council of Nicea, that's a myth, it was actually regarding Arius and his heresy. The book of Enoch is litteraly in the Ethiopian Bible anyways.

Plus the others are jsit hilarious. I was put into the Catholic realms since I was born (not my choice as a kid) and some ppl are programmed soo deep into believing that everything that is written in the Bible is true. Which is not as the translation from the Arameic to other languages they just made it all up as they wanted to. Just to program and control people. Ok this one is a sensitive subject for me so I will take a step back. I am complicated. I believe in God and am a Christian but practice divination too, a Christian witch if you will. I am very much in the closet because I know if I come out as such I will be burned at the stake lol. But seriously I get it from their point of view and the witch view as well. I do not know why anyone including yourself would spend any time addressing such people! They are taking energy and time from yourself and anyone to even acknowledge them and honestly by bringing attention to them it is helping them out. I did not grow up Christen (or any of the other major faiths) and honestly never had Christen people want to interact with me, never had them want to convert me or ask me to go to their church at all. So being a pagan, witch I do really do not care what Christens are saying and do not seek out them. If one is not have to deal with them then do not. There are so many groups of people that will not agree with you for many reasons, do not give them your time to correct them!
I recall on one of your previous vids you spoke of being ashamed to be of German background due to WW2. I did not grow up where you did so I can not speak of your experience, sad to hear that you felt this way! I am a woman who is a black US woman of mixed background. My grandfather was from Norway but moved to Germany in 1938 to work with the government, I think you get what I am saying. After WW2 to avoid being sent to jail he got changed his name and moved to the US and married a black US woman and had kids to try to hide his past. That said when he moved back to Germany and I also lived there myself I met him many times. Even with this I am not embarrassed by who I am, my direct family is! Unter den englischsprachigen Büchern zu diesen Themen gibt es so viele schön gestaltete. Unter den deutschsprachigen ist sowas irgendwie sehr rar. Wäre daher toll, wenn du deins auch auf Deutsch anbieten könntest. Immerhin habe ich auch deine spanische (oder italienische 🤔) Version davon auf Amazon gesehen.

Its like that mentality where someone does something wrong with a tool thats available to everyone and so now anyone that uses that tool is put in the same category and people are told you cant use these tools because one person used it for nefarious purposes and we feel you are not to be trustedto do the right thing.
I am going to sound very high brow when I say this, and I don't mean to be, but I have come to the conclusion that those who become dogmatic and narrow-minded when they follow a religion are showcasing a level of spiritual attainment NOT reached. They are essentially telling the world that they are still in primary school. And, hey, there is NOTHING WRONG with being in primary school. But to lock oneself in a box of fears and thought terminating cliches, consciously or unconsciously, is a typical "young soul" tendency. Life is terrifying. We can all agree to that. And dogma is a coping mechanism for the fears inherent in life. I wish them well, but it is frustrating when Christians push ideologies that are silly, at best, in your face.
