I disagree. When you dominate like they have. Won 92% of there games this decade. Absolutely dominant. The way they recruit. The expectations are to be in the national title game every year. For example last year i think they would have won the national title if they had made the playoff. I know they lost to Bama of course. But every team has a down week every now and then. Anyway, point being UGA seems to have the best roster in the country every year. Expectations are HIGH
I don’t doubt Georgia’s elite status and the fact they will have a better team. But I agree with this. Going on the road and playin in Tuscaloosa and at Texas and expect to go undefeated is kind of wild. If there is a team to do it, it’s Georgia. But they have to play Clemson, Texas, Alabama, and Ole Miss all on the road. That’s hard for any team.

Ole miss doesn’t have a good defense we’ll see tho, Texas went to bama almost won, bama went to Texas and was only a score away. Clemson can’t even compete in the acc anymore
@@Q2ximess Texas beat Bama at Bama last year. That's the reason they got into the playoffs over UGA. The on the road win in Tuscaloosa was factored in as the bigger win.

If Kirby has any shot at being the GOAT, he has to win this year. He took over a better program & took longer to win a title (as if it wasn’t elite also). Also, he went 1-5 against the guy he’ll be compared to. Saban went back to back & 3 of 4 at the beginning of the dynasty. Kirby matches that success with a title win this year. Even then, it’s seriously going to be hard to overcome that record no matter what he accomplishes. 2 of those losses even, UGA was favored to win & couldn’t get it done.
I believe the expectations for Alabama are too high. The fans are delusional, they expect Bama to not skip a beat with a new coaching staff and to win a Natty this year. I believe those expectations are too high. Georgia has a proven coaching staff in the SEC and a 42-3 record over the last 3 years. Its wrong to not expect them to be in the National championship game. This should have been about Bama not Georgia.
Well 3 straight regular seasons undefeated has a lot to do with the high expectations..and this could be the most talented team Kirby has put together thus far. I dont see them losing more than 1 game with the level of talent they have coming back.
I have your energy too with that comment but we do have 4 tough games on the road this year. If we go and win a championship this year, it might be the most impressive of the 3 in 4 years
I think the highest expectations this year is on Ohio State… when you dump so much money into getting your stars to defer entering the draft and buy the top guys in the portal, you better win. OSU’s donors went scorched earth. If they don’t deliver, there’s something terribly wrong.
With due respect, I'm sick of hearing about OSU in the same sentence with Georgia. No offense, but y'all need to win something before you jump all over every superlative comparing your program to Georgia. Only Alabama has that right, not OSU.

They have a first-round draft pick for every position. Needs dictate the NFL draft, but many positions there two or three. No one is that stacked. Its up to the players, not the coaches.

It was no Bama vs UGA it was Saban vs Kirby. Most of Kirby’s losses to Saban was before Kirby fully got his progum installed with players he recruited. If UGA had not been left out of the playoffs last year they would have waxed the field with Bama in the playoffs just like they did in 2021! Go Dawgs!

The external expectations are result based… the internal expectations are process based. Kirby and that program are all about what it takes to be great, not just about being great
Definitely hurts them to an extent. How do you win almost 30 games in a row including back to back nattys, battle injuries and other things throughout the year, lose by 3 to a nick saban coached bama team with so many impact players either out or less than 50% (one who is the greatest TE to play college football) and drop to #6. If Georgia made the playoffs last year they would have completed the 3 -peat
Don’t forget we have the staff that can’t get us there to the National Championship as well

A ton of speculation, let it work itself out. The man said it himself, Georgia is built to endure consistently and that's exactly what will happen. I think a ton of teams are getting hyped up this off-season and they're all expecting to win the big game. Dreams will be crushed this year 100%, and sure as Hell the Dawgs will endure.

Carson Beck has the ability too win the National Championship and because the way it ended Georgia ain't gonna play they are gonna take them too the next level why they got put out of the playoffs in 2023 and they showed themself that they would have won it in 2023 but the committee left them out when they lost by only three points in the SEC championship but Alabama lost too Texas by 10 points and the Georgia just lost by 3 points ok but the referees blew some bad calls this might sound like an excuse but I saw what I saw They the Committee didn't want Georgia back in the playoffs because would a won a Three peat National Championship and then the committee would like a 3 peat National Championship ok!!!!!

UGA has no chance against OSU this year. Ryan Day came a missed field goal - and horrible officiating away from beating UGA 2 years ago with vastly inferior talent. This year OSU has at least equal talent.

Georgia thinks they are up there with Bama and they're not! Yes they won 2. But they were getting by with the easiest schedule every year in the SEC East and now it's getting tougher. So we'll see how they handle that and the playoff competition. Might be a while before they win another one
The Dawgs have surpassed Bama, even Saban never had a 42-2 record. GA also broke Bama's consecutive win streak. The last time we played, Bama got lucky with a called reception that wasn't that kept their drive alive, but I can't get mad because we gave three points to Bama with an unforced error on our own ten yard line. Tout your past record (it's what Bama fans do when their team is an underdog) but the last three years have been all Dawg.
