      @@1sh1kll91 fixed is exaggerated but it will certainly be better. Replaced a center who consistently had 3-4 bad snaps a game with the highest rated PFF center in college football from last season. Proctor at LT consistently got beat by speed rushers and he's slimmed down a good bit so he'll be better as well. Will bama magically have the best line in all of CFB? No. But I believe it's an oline that 90+% of CFB would be happy to have.

I still don’t understand why James Brockermyer was nvr put in to replace Seth.

    Jalen Milroe’s 4.3 speed just adds more options to what Deboer can do on offense. He’s going to make defenses have to cover the whole field which leaves huge holes throughout a defense. Even if teams get pressure or cover something correctly Jalen then can just take off running. A defense can’t cover every option. RTR

    It’s destiny for Milroe to be in that system. Remember Saban wanted Ryan Grubb in the first place, not Tommy Rees. Man the offense in the spring game was more creative than Tommy Rees’ whole season, and those were the plays that Kalen and Nick Sheridan don’t care about people seeing so just imagine what they work on in the lab at practice that they don’t show

    Deboer runs a modified air raid with spread and run & shoot principles combined with a slow controlled tempo. You can’t concentrate on any aspect because he uses so many diverse schemes, alignments and motions. The UW barely utilized the multiple tight end packages he put out there. I’m assuming there will be some RPO components with the 12 or even 13 personnel. Deboer brought a player from every personnel group from the UW to help with the offense install. His O line will be mobile and highly technical with lots of pulls, traps and pin & pulls. Combine all of that with great running backs and a QB that can run and It’s a recipe for lots of scoring.

    Give JM an actual short to mid range gameplan and he'll be fine. He has a deep game for sure, but he leaned on going deep too much and the plays they were running were not setup for him to excel as a scrambler last season. Not to mention the offensive line committed too many mental mistakes and didn't get a rhythm as a unit til deep into the season. Teach him to read the defense and he will be great. He's very similar to Jalen Hurts but needs a solid QB coach to TEACH him.

    Think about this, everybody knows CKD has won everywhere he’s been. But how many of his predecessors at those other programs were fired - meaning he inherited a bare cupboard. Not the case at Alabama, I would not be surprised to see us shock CFB this year. We’ll have a good idea when GA comes to town. Roll Tide!,

    Good early test for Bama will be against Wisconsin and don't be surprised if this game is close. Fifth year senior Tyler Van Dyke will start for Wisconsin this season and Tyler was 3rd in the ACC in passing right behind Jordan Travis of FSU. Both teams Bama and Wisconsin are fairly close in rushing defense. Would not be surprised if Bama tries to win this game more with attempting more passes with Milroe but likely will have to win it rushing the ball or him running the ball. Ideally you'd like to see Bama do well passing the ball in this game for the growth of Debour's style of offense.

    I’ve also heard this guy say he doesn’t know if he can make the throws Micheal Penix Jr.
    I’m telling you right now Jalen Milroe does everything better than Michael Penix Jr. besides the corner fade. Micheal Penix Jr had 5 years of throwing the football in college tho and 2 of those years he spent rehabbing a ACL. So before he was able to do almsot anything as far as workout he was able to practice throwing

  • @gwhite7136
    @gwhite7136 5 дней назад

    The hardest thing for Milroe to have to learn to do this year is not just take off running the ball. To get better at passing, you have to hang in that pocket longer to make all your reads. Last season Milroe had the freedom to take off running. That isn't typically how Debour's offense works. He's use to having a short and midrange elite passer. We see this with QB's that are being taught to be better passers. If he can get the protect long enough to develop his midrange game, will benefit him greatly for this offense. Imo, this has to start game one and against the lesser foe. The game against UGA fairly early on will tell us alot about this team compared to last year in the SECCG against UGA. If UGA beats Bama and it's a convincing win for UGA, could spell trouble for Milroe staying the starter.

      The former UW center is very good. I can’t remember any bad snaps let alone in the money high stress times on fourth down. He is on the smaller side but that works with the Deboer schemes where he wants mobile lineman that can get out and run downfield or get out to the bubble screens.

    The only issue I see here for Bama is you have to rush the ball well, to throw the ball well in the SEC. Bama was ranked 41st in rushing the ball. That translated to 70th in passing the ball. Debeour at WA only made a living at throwing the ball short and midrange. Not something MIlroe has been able to do and that is something Debeour depends on his offenses or QB's doing. WA last year was check it, 108th rushing the ball! So if Debeour does not have that short and midrange elite passing, he has no offense, period. This is why Debeour also brought in his own QB from WA as well. So, either Bama has to improve on rushing the ball or passing it in the short and midrange. I don't think it will work with this schedule Milroe still being a middle of the SEC ranked QB, 8th last year. Michigan beat Bama with the 73rd ranked passing offense but good g ground D. Michigan had the 55th rushing offense but were 6th nationally in rushing defense. Bama rushing defense was 33rd. Bama can be had by teams that don't do passing that well or rushing the ball that well as long as they have an elite rushing defense. And that is only true because last season Milroe wasn't an elite passer. Milroe as a passer was ranked 56th nationally last year. If he does not improve that midrange it won't matter what he does long range, won't work with this offense. I think he starts the season but is on a short leash and could get replaced with Debour's QB from WA. There can be no QB struggles against lesser foe. Learning a new offensive system this different from last year requires an adjustment period for any QB, especially one that wasn't even top 50 passing last year. If he can adjust, great. But if he can't, I think he will be replaced. But either way Debour is prepared for drastic measures if need be.

      It’s not a question of if he improves but how much. Players improve from year one to year two. That’s just what happens. He’s with a lot better QB developers now and will benefit from the system and play calling. And it’s not like he has to make massive improvements either. A 25% increase in production would literally make him a Heisman finalist.
