They redefined targeting this year to make it actually make some semblance of sense, and if anything, Stetson is the one who forced the contact to his head when he lowered it.

I was in the student section at the game and the atmosphere in the game was absolutely crazy.. it lowkey might’ve won us the game. In the 4th quarter when hooker got sacked back to back and they had those two false starts it was the loudest and most hype experience in my life

Tennessee was 7-6 last year. Do u think that a computer ranking that just came out this week versus a game on their schedule against defending champs, the same week which resulted in a loss, means that they are failing at TN? GA won 41-17 last year. If I was Vol fan, I’d be thrilled with where UT football is now and the Growth Since last year. It’s rather impressive. GA struggled for years and now they are doing well, I’d be careful with your arrogance. No one stays on top. The SEC is a powerhouse, I’d be grateful if I was you that u have such strong teams, as the rest of the country is battling to keep up. GA, Bama, TN, LSU-when those teams are bringing in $$ and titles, it benefits the whole conference and every sport. Us ACC people are just hoping to get at them eventually. TN battled in the 2nd half and u should be worried that GA didn’t put up anymore points. (If TN is so bad in your opinion). I think u should say good game to the VOLS and that seeing your competition getting tougher is respectable

Tennessee fans have been talking trash for weeks, ignoring the fact that it took Bama committing a team record 17 penalties and two obvious blown calls by the refs, and Bama STILL could've won had they hit a last-second field goal. But because of that Tennessee win, they got to jump the undefeated and defending national champions in the rankings, when everyone in their right mind knew what was waiting for them in Athens. Tennessee is not on that level, they just thought they were. They're a good team and I've been giving them props all season, but I also told everyone that they were going to run into a buzzsaw when they come to Georgia, much like #10 Arkansas did last year. Georgia will be back in their rightful place at #1 next week, where they should've been to begin with.

The thing about my dawgs is we’re very balanced in our attack. Good defense and solid offense is all you need. This game proved what us fans already knew. Good game to Tennessee though, you guys put up a fight. UGA on the other hand grinds teams down and never shy away from a good fight. We either run the ball hard or fight like hell on defense to put teams away peacefully. Lol

UGA's the best team in the country, period. Tenn is flash as hell, no doubt. But defense wins championships, esp. in football. And Tenn. doesn't have a great one, while UGA has the best. Showed today.
As a Tennessee fan, this is a solid take. Our defense has been disappointing this year, but they’ve been getting better every game. I thought they performed as expected. However, our offense has been strong all year, but it was no match for Georgia’s defense. Some fans are complaining about Hooker, but I’m more disappointed in our O-line than anything. Georgias defense is just flat out better than our offense. Humbled to say the least.
It still baffles me that the Refs did not award UGA with a Safety in the first quarter. It clearly confused the announcers as well. That would/could have been a huge play had Tenn not laid an egg against The Dawgs. It tells you a good bit about the Refs mindset, or instructions, when the game started. I’m grateful we took it out of their hands altogether…
People thought this game was gonna be close, but with Georgia’s powerful weapon arsenal, Tennessee don’t stand a single chance. People were betting and predicting this game like CRAZY. It’s RIDICULOUS 💯💯💯💯.

As a UGA fan here, I came back to watch Darnell Wright, Tennessee’s right tackle & DAMN was he perfectly dominant in this game!!!! It’s crazy how he’s over shadowed by UGAs overall performance but the guy won almost every possession with his matchup!!!

Tennessee's resurgence has been great, but they were not #1, as some polls had them, and Georgia showed them that yesterday. The Vols were never really in this game, but they have things headed in the right direction.

Growing up in Tennessee, the Vols always thought they were better than Georgia in football. Funny knowing I’m GA native now. They always saw Florida and Alabama as their biggest rivals. They looked at Georgia like they were always the Ray Goff Georgia Bulldogs. However, UGA used to upset Tennessee when they would least expect it. I still remember that 2002 game in Athens and this game serves as another reminder. Mark Richt did some great things with the Dawgs but if they had Kirby Smart back then, they would’ve been the Florida of the 90s or Alabama of the Saban era. Now Tennessee got the Dawgs in 2007 in Knoxville en route to the SEC title game but outside of that, it’s just that UGA went on a drought of winning a national title since the Herschel Walker era.
Uga was clearly the better team but I will tip my hat to Tennessee for giving UGA fits because this game easily could’ve been 42-14

@@tannerschs People be forgetting everything i swear, including me tbh. Georgia is the defending national champs and this was supposed to be a rebuilding year. Hell, most of our players are 3 stars lmao. Idk what i was expecting. I can see us being a team you have to bring your A game for. In 3-4 years we will be national championship contenders when we get the foundation Alabama and Georgia has, but until then i think im gonna enjoy my 10-2 or 11-1 seasons for a bit.
This was the most satisfying win of the year. All that shit Tennessee fans,media, and alumni talked just to get their best team since 98 treated like Vandy.

This game show why rank didnt matter, being undefeated means giving the opposing team extra motivation to broke that streak. And its happen to be Georgia in their home turf. Unless Georgia making mistakes, theres no way Tennesse beat them
GA is ranked #3 dummy & top 3 were virtually all tied at #1. So I guess Georgia wasn’t #1 last year either, since u believe ranks don’t matter!
Should've been targeting on that stetson touchdown run. Defender crown of the helmet on the back of Bennetts but it worked out in our favor regardless. If you're going to have a rule it should be implemented regardless of which team is playing.
