I am very grateful for the video and the recognition. I hope that the final version will satisfy everyone. Note: The final version should be released by the end of February, I am waiting for my vacation to have time to program continuously.
Well done for the work, it's impressive! The animations, the number of sprites on the screen and the choice of colors which this time sticks as close as possible to the arcade version 👍
In my opinion, one of the best games made for the Mega Drive in the last few decades, probably the best port ever made for the Mega Drive. Mauro Xavier is a genius, I think CAPCOM with a team wouldn't be able to deliver anything better.
I'm looking at the arcade version and the MD version actually has more animation in the city. There's more flashing lights in the buildings, and there's moving lights on the road, simulating moving traffic. Very impressive!
No room over there..looks like you'll have to send it my way..😆...But seriously you've gone level ten with that whole build. Simply amazing! That title deserves it!!
Love the colour grading and sharpness used for videos of this channel, the videos always pop on colour. The end product of Mega Final Fight game and the console box is just… perfect 👌🏼
I have no words to describe what I just saw. I congratulate you first of all for the passion and love you have for the Sega Mega Drive, the truth is that it turned out spectacular, the boxing is beautiful. I can't wait to see it 100% finished in cartridge and digital format. See you and greetings from Argentina as always. 🇦🇷
Mad respect Mike, clearly righting one of historys wrongs! Amazing work, keep it up. Hopefully I'll get to see you in March at next years London Gaming Market. :) Don't work too hard.
Thats some impressive stuff right there! You've got serious skills and way more dedication than me 😁. I'm with you concerning the name of the port. 'Mega Final Fight' sounds a lot better. I think I'll have to use the same box art for my Japanese Model 1 Mega Drive mini. I always loved that version of the console best. The dev has done an outstanding job and I'm looking forward to the final release. Thanks for another great vid!
Great custom console and box art, I'm impressed at the effort you're able to put into this (I sure wouldn't). Given the Mega CD version was named "Final Fight CD", it's only logical they went for the "Final Fight MD" title in the end... if just because it's easier for editing the title screen ;)
Wow that custom Final Fight MD box and console looks amazing you I could imagine this being 1990 me a kid again and my giving me my boxed MD1 with pack in game Altered Beast plus Golden Axe along side but instead of that I can see it now my mum handing me this Final Fight MD boxed edition Australia Pal version mate my little mind would of went bonkers and also I loved Golden Axe I remember getting it being excited and amazed to be able to play at home just theses two games would of fill up for the rest of the year playing every day so yeah Mike thanks for this awesome video you made my day buddy 👍
I remember seeing pictures of Final Fight for the SNES in a magazine and was blown away, the graphics look arcade perfect and thought to myself how can Sega compete?
I still believe to this day that the SEGA Mega Drive had the best and most sleek/innovative looking console design ever (the first generation one, not that horrible reworked mid-gen gen release!) Even now, it still hasn't been surpassed in my opinion and it's like 36 years old!
When I was a kid, I didn’t know the difference between MegaDrive and Genesis. I would see previews of games in magazines telling us “MegaDrive” games coming. Took a minute to learn “Oh!, just the name outside of NA. Easy enough. But I always liked the Mega prefix to game names, similar to Super Nintendo did. Didn’t happen too often, but was cool “mega Turrican” for example. Either way, I’m looking forward to this game’s completion. Surpassing Super Nintendo and possibly (dare I say) Sega Cd?
would have been awesome do have been a Japanese md box with also the Capcom joystick image on the back of the box! And personally I think they should have just called it Final Fight Plus or even just Final Fight, even though it is more than just a mere port
What happened to the Mega Drive port that had Captain Commando & Maki, even had a new intro cut scene including them. Was that a different port from a different developer? Here's a video link to show I'm not making stuff up. ruclips.net/video/Anj6xR7wjVI/видео.htmlsi=Umb0xwuWkJJGydB7
Very nice effort. a few nitpicks: the spray job on the console is a bit amateurish and doesn't look like the console shown on the box. The box should have been made of thin cardboard. IR controller are crap.
This is a lot of good work but I have to keep my OCD nerd behaviour in check so I don't nitpick this. Judging by the screenshots you included if it came out in 1993 it would have a black inlay since the blue inlay wasn't used until around the middle of 1994 but as I say this is just nitpicking. Great work! 👍
Dang--them boxes are frikin' brilliant. Not sold on the genesis console mod though. PS. You have to keep in mind that Final Fight MD is not an entirely original port done completely from scratch, but a modified version of the sega CD Final Fight. So it was obviously starting from a much better foundation than many of the other genesis ports. I think that has been essential in them being able to make a genesis version of the game of this quality. That probably never would have been managed if they'd had to create everything from scratch. Not that it wouldn't be technically possible, just the sheer amount of additional work would have been huge.
@@marloncapello8540 What? I thought they took the sega CD version, removed the CD specific stuff, got it working on just the genesis, and then went from there.
This port was made from scratch and the developer, Mauro has stated that many times over its development cycle. But I think you already knew that. I've seen you post on other videos and you just can't help yourself. You have to find a way to put the Mega Drive homebrew scene down, be it passively or otherwise. Sowing seeds of doubt or spreading misinformation is not cool. Do your research first, if you want to be genuine. I know you're a SNES guy, but you should stop and just be happy for the Mega Drive/Genesis. This game is for everyone.
@@benjaminbarker6226 I think you're projecting your own feelings there. Because I am genuinely sure I've read somewhere it was taken from the sega CD version and just migrated to the genesis, removing the CD audio and then tweaking a few things. But if the developer says it wasn't and was built from scratch, presumably just taking almost all the art attests and such across from either the arcade original or sega CD versions--there's literally zero chance they drew this entire games' art assets from scratch--so be it. And, if you actually bother to check the real facts here, you'll find I don't say anything "brutally" honest about genesis and/or sega unless I'm responding to butthurt bitter sega trolls who attack the SNES and/or Nintendo fans first, which happens all the time. In which case they can take right back what they give. And all I fight back with is the simple truth and facts, just stuff those particular buthurt sega/genesis fans don't like to hear is all. Fair is fair.
I am very grateful for the video and the recognition. I hope that the final version will satisfy everyone.

Your work is very impressive and very much appreciated! Congrats for such an achievement already.
Awsome work!

Amazing work Mike, everything looks great, especially the console itself.
Thanks, it's taken a while to put this one together.
Hey, Mike! Cheers from Brazil and congratulations for this amazing work! I loved all the boxes artwork.
Un trabajo impresionante!
Bloody amazing, given me some ideas for my own projects.
Your dedication is inspiring Mike! It would be awesome to have a special edition MD for Earthion, ZPF, Sword of Apocalypse and Real Bout Fatal Fury!
Looks awesome! Great Boxart!
My god! Is so precious!!!!! All stage clear, congratulations! Is pure nostalgy that...
Yes Mike !!! Amazing work brother 👏 🙌 🙏 ❤️
Nice work, the box looks amazing!!
I just kept going "Wow" to myself at the boxes, the console design, etc.

Amazing job, well done. I had such an idea before to do my own Famiclone, lol.
Si tener el juego físico ya es un sueño hecho realidad, ese pack de consola y caja es una locura. Enhorabuena por ese trabajo. 👍
Fantastic workmanship ma Guy🙌🎊🍾👏
Pretty good custom buddy. Thumbs up for your video.
Amazing job 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Lovely work on the box.
That is AWESOME!
It looks Great! 😎👍
Happy Christmas RGB! Thanks for your videos!
Fantastic..i applaud u!
Mike said amateur build
Give your self the credit you deserve
That hole build was amazing the attention to detail was something else
La portada que has echo para el juego final fight esta tremenda, gran trabajo
superb, magnificent
Wow! Very nicely done, sir! You can tell very much passion along with talent went into this! Great job! If you ever decide to sell these, I’m in.👍👍

You need to start building an island, with extra storage space
Please do a custom case tutorial. Your custom cases and manuals always look so good
Simplesmente mágico e nostálgico. Vemos muito amor e capricho no seu relacionamento com o mega drive!
Amazing!
Awesome works. I want the box ❤
Nice video Mike, and the console and box look amazing, love the finish on the console.
So when you going into mass production?😉🤪👌.

3:50 My favorite part of the video. LOL
Mike is real fan of Sega! Amazing work!
Solid work fella.
You should have taken a photo of the modded console and controller and put them on the box instead of the stock photos. Great job though.
The colour placement is much better than the Mega/Sega CD version.
Awesome! Any tips on what paint is best to use on the mega drive? I’ve been inspired!
Imagine SNES coming out back in 1990 and then Sega coming out with this. That would've been awesome.
I remember seeing pictures of Final Fight for the SNES in a magazine and was blown away, the graphics look arcade perfect and thought to myself how can Sega compete?
That is an awesome project! Maybe the cartridge box sleeve can be double sided? Blue on one side and black on the other?
Wow 👏🏻👏🏻

Fun fact Super Nintendo final fight couldn't have more than two enemies on screen at once
Nice effort, definitely would be better with the black box inlay for the game but, still great work
Agree, "Mega" is Sega's "Super."
Let me have it Mike I got somewhere to put it in my room
I've begged the dev to add Maki as a hidden character since he was planning to add new characters originally and more moves.
The whole design the box everything came out great!! is it for sale!?😮 or prize!???😊

This guy should port Street Fighter 2 Turbo or Alpha.
I agree. I like Mega much more. Super Nintendo games got Super in so many of their titles. Mega matches that.
Very nice effort. a few nitpicks: the spray job on the console is a bit amateurish and doesn't look like the console shown on the box. The box should have been made of thin cardboard. IR controller are crap.

So is the game fully complete now?
Not yet.
WOW. Too bad Capcom isn't brave-enough to do this on their own.

Love the box and cartridge.
On the other hand, I'll always prefer the look of the original Japanese OR European Megadrive.😌

Still demo or its a final version?
