I just recently learned that the British once ruled Malaysia and many people there speak English, or Manglish, which is a mish-mash of Malaysian and English much the same as Singlish is a mish-mash of "Singaporean" and English. Once I learned that I thought of you two. I visited my Singaporean friends a few weeks again and we have decided to visit Malaysia the next time I am there. We've been enjoying KL quite a bit. Found the peanut candy, but ours has sesame seeds on it as well. Delicious! Durian isn't that bad. Had some fresh durian the other day! It was good. I'll have to keep my eye out for the other goodies you mentioned. The food here is amazing!
Thanks so much! I know you really liked that Indian restaurant in Chiang Mai, and I'd take a guess that you're having terrific Indian cuisine in Malaysia.
April isn't far away at all! Mid april would be raya aidilfitri (or simply raya) celebrating the end of the fasting month of ramadhan. Look out for announcements for raya open house for our prime minister, or any other ministers, and for our king too, so maybe you would have the opportunity to sample the once a year celebration. If you arrive when it is still ramadhan, then you may also get to sample our ubiquitous ramadhan bazaars with the plethora of traditional malay food etc, many of which either only emerge during the fasting month or are hard to find outside of ramadhan. Have a safe and pleasant trip, take care! ✌️
You're officially hooked on Malaysia, just like many others whom have really spent time to understand and explore the multicultural background of the people, food and lifestyle here. Sounds cliche, but to know Malaysia is to love Malaysia!😂😂😂

That's like the birthplace of jeruk madu pak ali (jeruk = pickle, madu = honey), however they have expanded well to open shops or mere kiosks in other states and cities already, they even have presence in cities in sarawak, in case one cannot make it to penang.
