In Donny's book he says that he did go to a school for awhile, then becasue they were touring or something had to stick with toutors. But I also beleive they were homeschooled for a time.

Other Acts who appeared were Smokey Robinson & The Miracles, The Jackson Five and it was the very first show that Elton John made his US TV Appearance in. Co-Incidentally One Bad Apple was supposed to be Record by The Jackson Five, and Fame Studios I was surprised they went there since it was a Hard Core R & B Studio.
Merrill writes in his book about going to school, but I'm not sure about Marie and Jimmy. I imagine that the younger ones (Donny, Marie and Jimmy) eventually ended up being privately tutored and a teacher toured with them. Definitely the older brothers did go to ordinary school for some time. Merrill even mentioned the name of the school. I'll have to check what it was.

Yes, it sounds like the Jackson 5 because it was written with them in mind. They almost recorded the song, but went with the song ABC instead.
