I think Jamie idolised Ned for being a great warrior, leader and honorable man. He respected him, he wanted to be like him maybe even better, but Ned didn't like him. He blamed him for killing the king with dishonor. And he was a Lannister after all. Nearly everyone called Jamie a Kingslayer, nearly everyone told him he was a man without honor. But among all those people he was upset for Ned's opinions about him. That's why he mentioned Ned Stark when he was telling his secret to the Brienne.
@@ab-mj1tx Both scenarios are different. Ned was at war, Jaime wasn't. Also, when Jaime says this about Ned, he doesn't say it from the point of view which is shown in the video, instead he teases Cat that Ned cheated on her. We all know he didn't.
Maybe that's the last season's character arch for Jaimes character. He will be the honorable Ned Stark of the last season. It could also be what gets him killed is his honor too in the last episode. Who knows though, I do love the parallel between the two characters in this video.

Instead of being hailed as the hero he so longed to be, he was branded as the opposite, and Ned condemned him to live 17 years with the title "Kingslayer", with all the people he saved, the man he looked up to, and the entire realm believing him to be not just without honour, but a traitor as well- the very opposite of a hero. Being forced to live so long with the knowledge that he would forever be seen as the villain shattered his naive, pure beliefs of honour and heroics, and slowly turned him bitter and cruel as he learned to hate those that mocked him.

ahh yes but see, everything about this incredible video, this is exactly why I'm looking forward to the Bran & Jaime reunion between famous 'character duos' a little bit more so than several others that should happen in season 8. Thanks to the abilities Bran now has, that he only could've ultimately achieved from what Jaime did to him in the first place, Bran can look at the plain, objective truth of that day 17 years ago (or I guess by now it's probably more like at least 25, I'm not sure of an 'official' number of how much time's passed since the pilot). He can see that Jaime killing Aerys was the absolute, right noble thing to do, and he can prove it to everyone else. It looks from the trailer that some will still be doubting Jaime's motives when he shows up in Winterfell, but Bran's a helluva convincer.
OMG. I love it. Seeing the comparison with Ned and Jaime when they said their King Or Queen has dishonoring themselves. Gave me chills. Keep up the great work.
Where did he say that? And what ruined character development? Because the last time we saw Jaime was when he decided to ride North to help the Starks defending the realm from the dead. So not sure what you mean by that. :D
That's just illegally beautiful. Editing, music, the choice of what characters say. Ideal. The moment with Drogon and the whole 'Burn them all' parallel is sooo brilliant it gives me chills each time and I'm Daenerys' fan myself. There's just no "one and only truth". Daenerys does what she think is right and I totally understand her and agree with her and Jaime does the same. He's a really complex character and I think that is what attracts the most.
This is amazing , Ned/Jaime parallels where perfect! Jaime is probably the most interesting character in the show (I did love the Burn it all Aspect too 😂😜, as you might except)
This really brings home what a disaster the final season turned out to be. Jaime's redemption arc was one that had the potential to be one of the greatest and it was literally discarded like trash by a writing team who just no longer cared. That's the tragedy of Jaime Lannister.

I'm only gonna say that Brienne is the only person in this world that truly sees Jaime for who he is, good and bad, and trusts him and respects him, and believes in him, his word and his honor, and since he met her he has done his damn best to become the good man he is and has always tried to be
The fact that Jaime ended up being so much like Ned, makes me like him even more for some reason. I never noticed the Ned/Jaime parallel until now but it blew me away.
JAIME!!! Jaime is the best character of Game of Thrones. He is the most complex character. He is not evil and he is not good. He has his own motivations and he keeps his oaths. I love him ♥
This is a masterpiece. Absolutely stunning work all around. The parallels between Jaime and Ned, the music, the voice overs. Brilliant work as always. This is probably one of my favorite videos I've ever seen on RUclips.
I consistently come back to watch the Oathkeeper and Oathbreaker videos because Jamie is my favorite character and his dialogue is so good. David does such an excellent job capturing the essence of characters in his videos. See his The Targaryen Wolf and this for proof. Perfect.
Nice build up here, the duality between Ned and him: two completely opposed character, yet not so different. You sir are more than a video maker, you're a story teller. And a hell of a good one !
Jaime is hands down the best character in Game of Thrones played beautifully by Nikolaj Coster-Waldau..damn your Jaime vids are superb ! And with Brienne saying the word "Oathkeeper" just made it perfect..i love it !!
First of all, there is never enough Jaime-centered videos, and especially not yours because every single one is a masterpiece. The parallel between Jaime and Ned was something new and surprising, but overall it was really fitting. I loved how it sometimes seemed that the scenes we saw where coming from Jaime's delirious mind during the Harenhall bath scene, and how the general theme of the video (if I got it right) was that he is, in fact, an honorable man. Amazing!
This is the best of the best of the best i had ever seen GOT-mix before. Should be 100million view. I hope every person who watching the GOT to see this mix. This is a really good mix to see about Jaime to show everyone and especially for who didnt read a original book. Good job man. *What a Masterpiece*
I really wish more people understood how truly well Jaime’s character is written. The show/books have many of course, but he’s right up there to contend for the best written character.
Beautiful work as usual, I like the change no CC which is a big change to all these edits. You can just see the irony between the parallels of Ned and Jamie. Jamie I don't know how after his hand got chopped off or even a bit before had become one of my top characters after he saved Briene. (My favourite Character in Season 7)

Masterpiece. I cried literally Thank you Garo. Its just shows the good soul of Jaime just like the phrase ''Don't judge a book by its cover'' a person is not always what he looks and its sad that most people don't uderstand that.
Wow. Honestly I didn't notice some of these parallels between him & Ned. I've always felt like Jamie was badly misunderstood - regarding the Kingslayer thing. He was clearly trying to save the city, but initially people just didn't know that. And he goes on letting them not know, letting them look down on him. He has been a horribly flawed character, but he's so complex and definitely has some genuinely honorable traits, in my opinion. :-) Great edits & tribute!
maybe this video will reach a million views, maybe not....it deserves it!what a great show of the parallels of men and their journey. the last touches with Ned and Jamie and the ring of...Oathkeeper....was just brilliant.Jamie is the best CHARACTER of GoT
Oh my GOD THE PARALLEL! The parellel with Ned! Genius! And now Jaime rides to Winterfell on an oath to protect Ned's daughters! I think I now have a new crackship XD
This is SO beautiful. Jaime has one of the most interesting stories and development of any character in my opinion. The parallels between him and Ned, I never even noticed. I think it would be very interesting to see how Jaime reacts to the news that Jon isn't Ned's bastard. I think he'll be resentful towards Ned because of how Ned judged him for breaking his oath, but Ned was harboring a huge secret. Again really did love this,as well as the oathbreaker video. Keep doing you!!!
Wow! I was first worried when I saw you have made another Jaime video as it may of shown repetition in the videos. But the different approach in this video has worked wonders! Awesome work!!
Yes! the last one showed the angry side of Jaime, all the pain and struggle he went through and how much he has had to endure, this one showed a hopeful side, his fight to redeem himself, become the good and honorable man he can be, and it was amazing!
I love your video, which very nicely highlights the story of Jaime, who remains a despicable character for quite a many viewers. So, it’s nice that your video rehabilitates him like Brienne does in history (by believing in him, in his chivalrous side). Thank you very much for that.

best man - Jamie Lannister
thanks GaroStudios
Jaime just took Bran out of his comfort zone XD ... And he created a kind of god in the proccess
ahh yes but see, everything about this incredible video, this is exactly why I'm looking forward to the Bran & Jaime reunion between famous 'character duos' a little bit more so than several others that should happen in season 8. It looks from the trailer that some will still be doubting Jaime's motives when he shows up in Winterfell, but Bran's a helluva convincer.
yes their are many reasons
OMG. I love it. Seeing the comparison with Ned and Jaime when they said their King Or Queen has dishonoring themselves. Gave me chills. Keep up the great work.
He saved almost 1 million people bu he said that he did not care about innocent people in last episode thats how you ruin character development
Jaime is probably the most interesting character in the show (I did love the Burn it all
Aspect too 😂😜, as you might except)
Thank you so much, George !!
means whole a lot that you like this !
Using Ned/Jaime comparison was risky, but I went with it xD glad you like it
George Alexander the one where Ned walks away from Robert and Jaime walks away from Cersei
Good ol Aerys “Burn them All!!!” Still get the chills hearing that...Hail House Targaryen
This really brings home what a disaster the final season turned out to be. Jaime's redemption arc was one that had the potential to be one of the greatest and it was literally discarded like trash by a writing team who just no longer cared. That's the tragedy of Jaime Lannister.
I love making videos on RUclips, it is basically who I am. At a core I'm just a regular RUclipsr. As many of you know, I cannot monetize my videos in any way. Only way I can get something out of this is through Patreon. Please, even if it's 1$ (which I would very much prefer, as 1$ is basically nothing), it would help me out a lot. Thank you so much for your support. You people keep me going.

Thank you all who have contributed so far. Thank you so much !
Jaime you are a true real HERO! The most loyal, dignified, courageous, soft hearted! You will always remain in my heart forever !!!!!
I'm only gonna say that Brienne is the only person in this world that truly sees Jaime for who he is, good and bad, and trusts him and respects him, and believes in him, his word and his honor, and since he met her he has done his damn best to become the good man he is and has always tried to be
Amazing video! The fact that you've made 3 tributes for Jaime shows how well written of a character he is.
The fact that Jaime ended up being so much like Ned, makes me like him even more for some reason. I never noticed the Ned/Jaime parallel until now but it blew me away.
Still watching this masterpiece you crafted for us. Thank you!
1:52 to 2:16 MASTERPIECE.... omg i'm sooo in love with Jaime, thank you
JAIME!!! Jaime is the best character of Game of Thrones. He is the most complex character. He is not evil and he is not good. He has his own motivations and he keeps his oaths. I love him ♥
It's kind a new type of an art, very wonderful
This is a masterpiece. Absolutely stunning work all around. The parallels between Jaime and Ned, the music, the voice overs. Brilliant work as always. This is probably one of my favorite videos I've ever seen on RUclips.
Man oh man, I was falling out of touch with GoT recently, this just pulled me straight back in
Who Media Same bro
What a beautiful redemption arc of this perfectly written character!!!!
Jaime riding away while Brienne says oathkeeper. Chills
I consistently come back to watch the Oathkeeper and Oathbreaker videos because Jamie is my favorite character and his dialogue is so good. David does such an excellent job capturing the essence of characters in his videos. See his The Targaryen Wolf and this for proof. Perfect.
There are no man like me . Only me . By far the most interesting character in Got . Awesome video for the one and only Sir Jaime Lannister .
This video gives a man chills...Jaime is a good guy!!!
Using The Leftovers music I see! Excellent choice, Max Richter is one of the best composers out there at the moment! Great video as always.
Nice build up here, the duality between Ned and him: two completely opposed character, yet not so different.
You sir are more than a video maker, you're a story teller. And a hell of a good one !
The parallels between Ned and Jaime killed me. Wow
Jamie Lanister is an example of an honorable man, not bogged down by loyalty
Your videos are the only thing that will help satisfy the GoT craving in 2018. Keep it up!
Oh maaaaan, this one is even better than the Oathbreaker one.........and I never thought anything would be better than Oathbreaker!
Always my favourite character! Sir Jaime Lannister!
Jaime Lannister, the greatest knight of the seven kingdoms !
This is hands down one of the best story lines.
👌 ayyeee garo studios killing it again!!!! Your edits always release an explosion of emotion!!! I made one also! Keep it up!!!
Out-fucking-standing... I have no words other than that... the parallels, the subtext in past scenes brought to light with full context. Speechless.
I watch this everyday
I really wish more people understood how truly well Jaime’s character is written. The show/books have many of course, but he’s right up there to contend for the best written character.
This is seriously amazing! I got chills, I love Jaime and his story.
___ arrow Yeah I agree I loved Jaime in Season 7
Despite being one of my favs
Jaime really hasn’t had many standout seasons
I can only think of Season 7 and 3
Maybe my favorite character of the show ! Thanks for this great video.
Masterpiece. I cried literally Thank you Garo. Its just shows the good soul of Jaime just like the phrase ''Don't judge a book by its cover'' a person is not always what he looks and its sad that most people don't uderstand that.
Jaime deserved Emmy's 2018 :'(
This is so good I keep coming back to it from time to time just to be awed again. That Ned/Jaime comparison was mindblowing
meanwhile in season8
"jaimie kinda forgot that he cared about people"
One of the finest written character...sir jame lanister...
"What a King, he was"
Initial episodes, I think wrong about Jamie but later I realised he is a great man.
Great edits & tribute!
maybe this video will reach a million views, maybe not....it deserves it!what a great show of the parallels of men and their journey. the last touches with Ned and Jamie and the ring of...Oathkeeper....was just brilliant.Jamie is the best CHARACTER of GoT
"There are no men like me, only me"
Whoever didnt get chills watching the video is not human. Great editing, a job well done!!
My favorite GOT Character, I love your work and the amazing story telling in your videos
I shed a tear everytime someone calls Jamie "Kingslayer"...
That "speech" to Brienne is absolutely beautiful.
Jaime is the one who saved the whole world on noone thanks him/trust him/knew that
You are his father.
@@personal_utube he doesnt sound dissapointed , no way thats tywin
Jaime has really become a great character. Hope he doesn’t die.
'I come with another Jaime video. I know some of you might say enough is enough, but ' No, there are never enough Jaime videos, especially since they are made by you. He is one of my favorite characters from Got, even if I started with hating him. I agree with what you sai din the db about him. He had the best storyline and also a great character development. I can't wait for next season and also for your Got videos that are yet to come.
That's the 10th time i watched the 3 tributes you made about Jaime Lanister, by far the most interesting & non-manichean character of the story. Keeps wetting my eyes. You did a really great job dude.
Jaime is easily the best character in the series. On top of that, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau is probably the best actor on the tv show. I feel like the tv series gave far too much screen time to Dany and not enough to the characters people actually care about.
Jaime and Ned parallels gave me goosebumps! Wow!
Jaime is my favorite character in the series. Good Job Garo! U always make me cry or smile. Love your videos. U made an masterpiece again. Good luck for the future! ;)
Jaime is like a deeper representation of myself:
-not caring to show people my good deeds
-being a victim of a toxic relationship
-always (ALWAYS) being there for the people i love & care about no matter what they did to me in the past
-wondering in the world to learn & try new things about love respect and duty
-first and foremost but the family as the most important thing in the world
I fear what I’ll see next week... anyway you were a great character
I'll be so sad if he dies, i think he's my favorite 😢
He’s one of the most well developed characters and has a great arc...I think he’s doomed cause he just isn’t the swordsman he used to be.
Kingslayer needs a redemption, and an honourable death. BY SAVING BRIENNE!
Yeah man I completely agree with you and I strongly believe that that’s how it’s going to go down. If he lives by some miracle then all the better
If jon die dany arya anybody i be sad but if jamie my god 😞
That parallel is great, between Jamie and Ned, great vid!
