I'm just kinda frustrated that he still hasn't realized that Cersei doesn't really love him, that being with her is just bad for him. Still he is one of my favorite characters of the story.
There is still hope. The show has put so much time into Jaimie's redemption arc that it would be weird to put him back to square one. Of course since it's Game of Thrones so the writers could very easily just say "lol nope" and make Jaimie an irredeemable baddie.
TBone 511 Cowards push children out of windows, cowards fuck their sister in the dark when the king is asleep. Men without honor include Jaime Lannister, running towards a dragon isn't honorable, it's retarded.
Cowards choose the life of one child over three and at least two adults? Cowards choose who they love, and who loves them? So your love was meant for another, never stopped Rhaegar from stealing Lynna away. Having the opportunity to save thousands from being burnt alive by dragons even though you know the chance of you surviving is pretty brave. How's threatening to return cities to the Earth sound? Does that sound honorable? Burning all the Khal's alive because you think you're a better ruler than them by breaking their centuries of tradition, is that honorable? Nailing masters to crosses because they must all be evil must be honorable right? Never mind having trials for them. How about feeding random people to your dragons to inspire fear? Is that honorable? How about threatening your husband with the same fate, is that honor? People in dragon-glass castles shouldn't throw stones.
When I first read the books I imagined Robert as Brian Blessed, his voice would have been even better, I don't know if he is a better actor than Mark Addy but they're both about 8 inches too short haha, I confess when I read the books I thought Brian Blessed was alot taller than he actually is.
I would love to see Robert in his prime. He is meant to be one of the greatest warriors of all time. Also meant to be 6'6 and his weapon of choice is a fucking Warhammer Coolest mofo around
I agree with the original post as well as the other comments, and don't get me wrong, Mark Andy was great as King Robert. But! One interestig thing I found on youtube was in a interview, the producers said that the first audition tape they ever saw for the Pilot was his. And that he NAILED it! But... that was the only time he acted so good. After that... for the entire season... he was not on the same level and they had a lot of trouble with him. Who knows what really happened.
Then he would be remembered as a hero.. a man.. a knight full of glory from the house Lannister but sadly for decades he was known throughout the seven kingdoms a knight sworn to serve and protect his king with honor decided to kill him.. Jamie Lannister known as The KingSlayer for his crime against house Targaryen.. instead being known as the knight who saved KingsLanding from wild fire from the Mad King.. he was crowned KingSlayer for killing for not honoring his oath as a knight.
Honestly Jamie is a very honourable character, I don't think he cares about living or dying tbh, he shows no fear in the face of death. He didn't abandon his men when dany attacked him, he even charged her head on to try and stop her knowing he would probably die. He saved Brienne from being raped at the cost of his best hand. He didn't kill Ned Stark when he was wounded from behind. He did the right thing killing the mad king, I really do like his character.
had to be done to protect his family, and if we take the mythological side of the show, it had to happen for brann to become the 3 eyed raven. destiny and all that shit
Here's the one that will kill the Night King. The Kingslayer. The only thing he has to do, is to drive the flaming sword through the heart of the one he loved: Cersei. If he falls into a bitter conflict with her, somehow, and then - goes to the North to fight the War for the Dawn, somehow, and if he gets that sword by any chance, I can see how the legend of the Azor Ahai will be travested in his own story-arc.
Sacrificed his birthright, honor, name, body and life to save the weak, Jaime is a tragic hero; and what will he get in the end?, nothing, only the curses and jeers of the people as they spat upon his grave.
The only character, that still, 7 seasons later, still struggle with his initial conflict! I love it all, the progress, the acting, and of course, this video, portraying both!
The confession scene with Brienne is still such an incredible display of acting and raw emotion. Jamie has developed into an incredible man, and I hope he is the Prince that was Promised! Unashamedly #HouseLannister
Every time I see him on his horse wearing his armor he looks majestic AF! But then I remember his right hand and start thinking about how much of a beast he was back in the day
when this show first was on....there was no one i hated more than Jamie Lannister, and now....he might be my favorite character of all time. what a well written character.
Jaime is not only one of the best written characters in this series, he is also likely the best written characters with the best story arc in all of television history.
This is brilliant. I think that Jaime is going to have a huge part to play in what happens next. Can't wait for his reaction when he finds out who Jon is, could be his chance to regain his honour, defending Rheagar's son.
Such a grey character you hate him first but love him after his confession. Did his duty as a honorable knight to always protect innocent. If you go back and rewatch all his scenes Ned always undermined him.
Love him...love the lannisters...thank you for making this beautiful video...i love him...he's the proof that no matter how bad you were...there is always light within you...whoever made this video...hats off to you
Of all the Jaime Lannister videos, maybe of all GoT compilation videos, this is by far the best - it's so well put together from the first beat, tells his story beautifully, and uses the best music, well done!
The video is about jaime lannister and how his character evolved within the series In no time was mentioned or was spoken badly of daenerys, I do not know why danny lovers get into this video if they do not like the character. I dont know how or why but I found my self on team Jamie, especially when he refused to leave his men and rushed the crybaby entitled dragon privileged girl solo
So entitled. Sold as a fuck slave to a mad man savage. So much privilege she has in her life with assassins being sent after her since she was a baby. The fucking spoiled brat! It's insane that she wants what's her birthright!
she is refusing to help the north until jon bends the knee. Which means she wants even more land and people to control and if they don't kneel, they can all die. She needs to come off it. Every character in the show does bad things, but she acts like she's never done anything wrong.
Why are people trying to compare Jaime Lannister killing his cousin to escape and pushing Bran out a window with Aerys burning Ned Stark's father and having his brother Brandon strangle himself in a torture device trying to save him, as well as his willingness to burn 500,000 people alive in King's Landing.
Rebumai Dany and Jon fans need a reason to hate him bcos they can't handle a morally grey character growing into a person who is more good than evil. His early misdeeds will always stand out more than the good things he does later.
I honestly think Dany fans lack some intelligence, it tilts me so much that they think they are ''good people'' and probably smart too when actually they're just like Dany, stupid and idiotic.
+ninakore I think you're mostly correct with that. I think it's also that up till now the Lannisters have done all the disturbing and destructive stuff in the series. What Dany fans in particular don't realise is that Daenarys' army is still the same bunch of savage horsemen who were led by people that wanted to rape Daenarys. They didn't change overnight, only the men who led them and the attitudes of her closest advisors did that. As another guy in this comment section has already stated; we're supposed to wonder how they're feeding themselves. Are they forcing the Crownlands and Stormlands that they control to feed them? Or are they looting, raping and pillaging anyone nearby to support their cause? Showrunners also humanised a group of Lannister soldiers with the Sheeran cameo. All of it is supposed to show "hey look, there's good on every side so pick your side carefully".
Jaime Lannister is the knight that Westeros needs, but not the knight that Westeros deserves right now. Jaime is handsome Jaime is filthy rich Jaime is an orphan Jaime has fighting prowess Desired by many, yet loves someone who he can't pursue Has the most expensive armor in the Kingdoms His enemy just wants to watch his world burn Jaime Lannister is Batman, the Dark Knight.
Possibly the most interesting character in GoT. Even though the show tries no to be so clearly black and white, most of the characters are still classic good guys and villains. Jamie feels the most like a real person.
Beautiful portrayal of a character that people are quick to hate. He's deeply flawed and conflicted, but the good in him often prevails. Great video :)
Don't think Azor Ahai will ever be a thing. Martin's said numerous times he won't be biased towards any relgion/belief system/prophecies in the series or show. I think it'll be more profound.
This video is phenomenal! Jaime is such an amazing character. I love that you remembered that line from Robert about the Highborn lad. Seriously this has to be one of the best tributes I've seen, if not THE best.
It's funny, the only people I like as a whole in this series are the wildlings. And then there are the ones that end up surprising you ... like Jamie. So many shades of grey; that's why I like this show.
Stabs a mad king in the back to prevent half a million people being burned alive. Pushed a boy out of a window to prevent his brother in law from murdering his lover and children. Released his brother from jail to prevent his execution. Perhaps the single most honorable man in the Seven Kingdoms, because he was willing to give it up to protect the innocent
Far from honourable. If he wasn't fucking his sister in the first place, he wouldn't need to have attempted to kill Bran. Not to mention he released Tyrion from jail just to have him kill his Father thereafter. He's a great character, but in all honesty, honour does not describe Jaime in the sightest.
Wow that's the first time i've seen someone claim pushing a boy out a window was honorable. Even Cersei of all people was mad at him for that and said it was unnecessary lol
Remember that King Robert was all for killing children. When Ned finds Lyanna at the Tower of Joy with baby Jon, you can hear her whispering to Ned "If Robert finds out, he'll kill him". When he's with Robert in the Small Council Meeting, Robert orders the assassination of Dany who is still a very young girl. In fact, when he learns that Cercei's children are products of incest, he warns her to leave, because Robert will have all of these children killed once Ned tells him about them. Now, Jamie knew this and pushing Bran out of the window was the only way to prevent him from even innocently talking about these two messing around in that tower. He was protecting his children. Was it honorable to push a Bran out of a window? No, but he felt it was necessary to protect his children. Can't blame him for wanting to protect his kids.
This is perfection. I even shed a tear. I had a feeling you'd put ''my name's jaime'' scene in the end, and I loved it so much, very emotional. Thank you for this masterpiece!

Hands down the most well-written character in the series.
i dont know if Joffrey was well-written so much as well-acted. Jack Gleason was amazing.
I'm just kinda frustrated that he still hasn't realized that Cersei doesn't really love him, that being with her is just bad for him. Still he is one of my favorite characters of the story.
Kristofer Östberg Thank you very much.... Send your family my regards
In the books too.
There is still hope. The show has put so much time into Jaimie's redemption arc that it would be weird to put him back to square one. Of course since it's Game of Thrones so the writers could very easily just say "lol nope" and make Jaimie an irredeemable baddie.
I wonder how many of those who called Jaime a coward or a man without honor would be willing to charge a Dragon on horseback.
TBone 511 Cowards push children out of windows, cowards fuck their sister in the dark when the king is asleep. Men without honor include Jaime Lannister, running towards a dragon isn't honorable, it's retarded.

"jaime lannister son of the mighty tywin"
such a powerful line
" Help! The Kingslayer!...
- "Jaime... My name is Jaime"
My god! that end of this video made me cry like a kid!
Hearing Robert yell "KINGSLAYER!" Is like music to my ears, goddamm that man's voice was powerful
I was looking for this comment! fucking strong voice, and he is such a great actor!
leokill jon one of the characters I miss the most long live Bobby B first of his name and all that
When I first read the books I imagined Robert as Brian Blessed, his voice would have been even better, I don't know if he is a better actor than Mark Addy but they're both about 8 inches too short haha, I confess when I read the books I thought Brian Blessed was alot taller than he actually is.

i agree completely. he is by far one of the most misunderstood characters of the show

Math Ag u i s yeah but he stilled pushed an innocent kid and is still defending a murderous monster probably worse than the mad king.
"By what right does the wolf judge the lion" - Jamie Lannister
Was it just me who got the goosebumps??...I never thought I would have this respect for the character..amazing character arc
The Prince that was promised!
That also fucks his sister!

Review Screw Jon will Fuck his aunt soon what you think about this
what a fucking hero. He ran to the dragon for his army with one spear
Love Jaime. Great, complex character.
Sacrificed his birthright, honor, name, body and life to save the weak, Jaime is a tragic hero;
and what will he get in the end?, nothing, only the curses and jeers of the people as they spat upon his grave.
Still to this day think about this video every now and then, still amazing to watch.

Thank you so much! I'm glad you like it! :)
Jamie Lannister, not the king they want but the king they need.
When you're conflicted on how you feel about a character, that's when you know the writers did an amazing job.
Every time I see him on his horse wearing his armor he looks majestic AF! But then I remember his right hand and start thinking about how much of a beast he was back in the day
That was genius how you put together Jaime's charge with Robert's line.
when this show first was on....there was no one i hated more than Jamie Lannister, and now....he might be my favorite character of all time. what a well written character.
Jaime is not only one of the best written characters in this series, he is also likely the best written characters with the best story arc in all of television history.
Beautiful ending. "My name's Jaime."
I understand why people hate Jaime but for some reason I just love his character.
Went from hating this character to loving him and he's now one of my favorites. Hands down has the best story arch of all.
I love the mirroring of Jaime's charge at the end and Robert's war story about the "dumb Tarly boy". I'd never considered that before! Great edit!

This is truly an amazing edit. Gave me non-stop chills!
Most interesting character in the whole show, also my favorite.
Jaime is many things, but he ain't a coward.
Much more, he is undoubtedly the bravest in the whole world of ice and fire
GREAT JOB. Congratulations. In my opinion, Jaime is the most interesting character in the show nowadays.
This is brilliant. I think that Jaime is going to have a huge part to play in what happens next. Can't wait for his reaction when he finds out who Jon is, could be his chance to regain his honour, defending Rheagar's son.
Best character in the show. Amazing video.

eline Very proud :P
eline Best edit I've ever seen!
eline you need to rethink pacing. The dialogue is too close together.
Of all the Jaime Lannister videos, maybe of all GoT compilation videos, this is by far the best - it's so well put together from the first beat, tells his story beautifully, and uses the best music, well done!
The Lion of Casterly Rock
One of my favourite characters in GoT and a Hell of an actor!!
Made me appreciate Jaime as a character more. Bravo
I just watched all the Jaime Lannister videos and this is by far the best.
The ending gave me chills. "Jaime, my name's Jaime!"
Good job.
Jaime is the best character in GoT, his character development is amazing. I really hope that he's Azor Ahai.
Aaand that's what Tyrion sees in him.
Nicely put together vid, thanks.

The parallels are INSANE. Incredible work!
Dany : saves people if only they serve her
Jaime : saves thousands under no conditions
Correction:
Dany: Spares her enemies if they serve her.
Jaime fucking trash , he who stole the food from the people and let them stave during the long night
@@musspuss LMAO, you mean the food that Daenerys burned right after? You do know that those food never made it to KL, right?
Well done. Jamie is quickly becoming one of my favorite characters on the show.
In High Valyrian vocabulary
Āeksio ondos - Hand of gold
Āeksio Oño - Lord of Light
Jaime is Azor Ahai.
Beautiful, chilling. I love that you put Robert's quote over Jaime's charge, that was all I was thinking when he charged at her.
I dont know how or why but I found my self on team Jamie, especially when he refused to leave his men and rushed the crybaby entitled dragon privileged girl solo
Welcome to the right side.
Couldn't have said that last part better myself.

beautifully written character in both tv and books. plus he's very handsome!
Greatest game of thrones montage ive seen. Good work!

wonderful edit. thank you man.
My favourite character from the first episode itself !!Jaime Lannister ❤
Same
I thought i was the only one
Jaime is one of my favorite characters
Damn that was good!!!
Such an underrated character ! He deserves more screen time tbh !!

This was epic and really well-done. Gave me all the feels.
My favourite character 💖💖
I LOVED that parallel about the dumb highborn lad attacking Robert and Jaime charging. BRILLIANT.
Jaime Lannister is the knight that Westeros needs, but not the knight that Westeros deserves right now.
Jaime is handsome
Jaime is filthy rich
Jaime is an orphan
Jaime has fighting prowess
Desired by many, yet loves someone who he can't pursue
Has the most expensive armor in the Kingdoms
His enemy just wants to watch his world burn
Jaime Lannister is Batman, the Dark Knight.
Say what you want , but Jaime Lannister is a hero!
Best character in the fucking series.A man without honor.
That Bobby B line at the end of this was gold! Truly a great video.

Wow that was intense !!! So goodddd
This is simply amazing!
Stabs a mad king in the back to prevent half a million people being burned alive.
Pushed a boy out of a window to prevent his brother in law from murdering his lover and children.
Released his brother from jail to prevent his execution.
Perhaps the single most honorable man in the Seven Kingdoms, because he was willing to give it up to protect the innocent
well, he killed his cousin because he wanted to escape... still, i think you're right in saying he is one of the most honorable mans in Westeros
Well, the kid *did* say he'd do anything to help him. I just don't think he thought Jamie needed *that* kind of help. lol

That really captured his whole struggle and journey, well done!
