@@TheSacuLlp I mean you're in no shape to ask for more than that after basically annihilating your tablet.
It's good because it means if you plan on shipping it out to repair it or just tossing it, and have stuff that isnt backed up on the cloud (maybe you were doing important work on a camping trip with no wifi and something catastrophic happened ) you can still hook up a monitor and transfer or backup those important files so that when you end up with a new tablet or Microsoft resets your tablet when they repair it as is standard, you still have the files. With the iPad pro immediately giving up the ghost you don't get that chance.
@@ryumewukowu it also gives it longevity of you are using it as your primary computing device. It is advertised as having the full functionality of a PC, so it's nice to know that it still functions even if something happens to the screen.

@@crashbirdcrashplane I use my Surface Pro 4 without Type Cover most of the time, and I'm pretty happy with it. It was really unusable at first but the last year or so Microsoft did an amazing job with the on screen keyboard in my opinion.

@@emmanuelmedina2740 To be honest, I hate the Surface Pro. The main reason is because of it's subpar experience as a laptop. Having to attach the keyboard and use a kickstand is extremely annoying for a laptop. That's why I prefer the surface book over the surface pro. The tablet experience also isn't as focused as on the iPad.
@@waseemalghunaim well, the ipad is literally just a big iphone. Simple as that. And while the surface book is way better than the surface pro, it also costs quite a bit more as well. This doesn't make the surface pro bad or subpar. I have one and I absolutely love it. Its made for people that want a truly mobile laptop. I use the thin case keyboard and trackpad. I thinks its amazing. Although the surface book 2 is way more powerful. Its nowhere near as light or portable as the pro even with the pro keyboard case.

@@PineappleForScale Yeah, well of course because the start menu, taskbar and desktop are actually part of the File Explorer program - when you click the close button on the "File Explorer" program, it isn't really closing anything... But, if you do properly kill it in task manager - you lose your desktop, start menu and taskbar... Easy to fix though just by doing File -> Run new task in Task Manager.
I don't know WHY the main interface is merged with the File Explorer... But it is and has been like that since Windows 95.

What is the right way to do it?
After having been through 2 surface pros, a 4 and a 7, they both had flawed screens, any amount of actual prolonged moderate usage and the screen starts playing up with flickering lines appearing the whole way across most of the screen. Flickergate is still very real and alive sadly, I loved my surface pro 7 i5, but it wasn't worth replacing every 6 months.
Damn thing survived with its guts out! gonna get this if possible. By the way, love your professional voice when you're wreaking havoc into the designer's soul while you tear down their life's work in a jiffy.

As a teacher I use a tablet for work every day. But I guess tablets aren't too useful for most professions.
Its even less than that. My sister buys these for her kids every year and puts them in that huge foam padded case with huge foam handles and padding yet every time she visits she has 3 cracked iPads. 2 of her kids and the third is her own. After going through 6 of these just in front of me in 3 years I gifted them a Chinese Mi Pad for 300$.. Its still uncracked to this day and working perfectly and I am yet to see them with an uncracked iPad even though I know they bought more. I bet they will still buy this trash 2018 one too but what can you teach Apple fan boys.

The iPad Pro is significantly more powerful though. So while it's running a mobile OS, there are some things it would definitely be better at. Also pretty hard to beat that 120Hz display.

It's cause the surface is a lot bigger, but ya I agree that Apple is penny pinching and probably wouldn't put those things into their device cause it goes against what they believe in. Apple has a goal to make their devices as simple as possible(removing all ports). Apple attracts a broader audience cause most people don't care about those things and over time every other company has to follow Apple. We would still be using DVD players and floppy disks right now if Apple didn't take the risk of removing them

It’s actually an absolutely stupid statement. iPad is a tablet in tablet form. Surface is an average laptop that sucks as a tablet. That’s why iPad sells 120x more than Surface. (300.000 vs 44.000.000). Because it’s focused; it knows what it is, and it does what it does perfectly. Surface is just another Windows tablet wannabe that Microsoft have been pushing since 2001, and it’s been failing miserably for 17 years.

Don't buy the ipad, clearly, you hate it with a passion. But don't abuse consumers who prefer the ipad, we are not all robots doing the same stuff! Yes the ipad bends, and as an ipad user I don't care, and does it make me less likely to buy it, no. I always look after my stuff and at a $1000 plus any sensible person would. Had every ipad since inception and never bent one, weird that! The SP6 is not a tablet it is a laptop, even MS no longer call them tablets as they suck so badly as such. Zach should try an actual tablet like the MediaPad or the Samsung Tab S4. There are so few tablets but I am sure there may be one or two others.

i think what people have to realize is that sometimes, ecosystem means everything for someone. it's not so much as apple owners being "fanboys" as much as people just like their products to work with each other for ease of use. i guess we can say that android users just like a more complex lifestyle that suits all their needs throughout multiple formats of different operating systems. nothing wrong with that. whereas some people just like the simplicity of having something work in unison and work through it fairly well. if there's any proof of product longevity and comparing that to others.. i'm typing this comment on a late 2008 Macbook Pro. changed the battery once and it still does everything that I* need it to while i use it every day for work. it connects to all my devices and it's just much more fluid for me. did i pay a premium for all my apple products?.. yeah.. probably. but, the oldest of my devices still works very well for me. everything else is simply my desire to upgrade whatever device (ipad pro, iphone XS max) i use, in a different sense, daily.
i myself like the criticism of all parties because i get to compare what my current needs are vs what the market brings out. i'm not biased in any which way.. i wanted the s10 and the oppo find x. i just like for the products that i buy to suit my needs at my beckon and calling. lots of people can't stand that simplicity and function is actually what some people like to have. those people just need to get over it. lol

What's sad/frustrating is that the things he called perks like an SD card slot, mouse hookup, 3.5mm headphone jack, SD card slot, etc. are basic necessities for a device like this, but they're considered "perks" now because Apple got rid of them. Actually I still think the 3.5mm headphone jack should never have been taken out of the iPhone either and I'm still not used to it. Mobile devices shouldn't require you to carry around adapters for basic functions. I've lost that damn thing so many times and I'm not rude enough to disturb everyone around me by listening without earphones, and it's impossible to use it to listen to music to fall asleep without them.
