Hannah has some of the most wonderful vocal technique I have ever heard. I’ve had the privilege of doing lessons with her, and quite honestly I have learned so much from her. On top of that she is amazing to work with and honestly just makes you feel appreciated.
Besides praising the performer/performance, every time i see a Club Broadway video I have to applaud the accompianist, especially with piano parts like this
This is one of the songs in Wicked (the other is Thank Goodness) that I was a bit meh on at first. But the more times I saw it, the more I loved it. Now when I see a new Elphaba, I look for for two songs. If she nails The Wizard and I, I can rest easy knowing she's good. And if she crushes No Good Deed, that tops it off. Defying Gravity gets all the attention, but my Elphaba barometer songs are the other two. Hannah Corneau is so good.
I am so excited for this! I saw Hannah as Elphaba and she blows away any others in my opinion. No one compares to the voice, power, and emotion behind her portrayal.
Idina's sudden drop during the long "unpunished" sounds like the spirit being knocked out of her. Hannah's sounds much more operatic. The same sudden vulnerability just more theatrical.
