  • YOU can change your own oil, regardless of whether or not you've done it before or have any advanced experience with vehicles.
Today, I want to empower those who have been asking "how do I change my own oil" to get out there and get it done with confidence.
Plus, I'll go over three reasons to change your own oil using Mobil 1, instead of letting an auto shop do it for you.
    Enjoy!

I knew there was a hidden reason I enjoy your channel and content so much - you're a "Mobil 1 Man"! Been using it for years, and I regularly get 300,000 to 400,000 + km's of low cost vehicle maintenace as a result for sure. And yes I often do my own oil changes!

I used to change my oil myself for years, and I know it’s done right, plus have had friends tell me they had there’s done at shop, then checked there oil stick, no oil on stick! I’ve heard of that many times! Diy

Enjoyed the video, I like your thinking! "No waiting around in the shop with strangers twiddling their thumbs." Just do it yourself and "Get-R-done!"

Excellent advice. I had a fellow employee who had one of the national chains change his oil. They didn't put the oil plug on securely and his engined ended up seizing. He was fighting with the company to get it resolved the last time I saw him.

Good video. Done it enough to not do it anymore. I buy my Mobil 1 Synthetic oil and filter on sale for years, and I pay $30 for someone to do it at a place Ive been using for a long time. Takes less time for me to do it myself, and I move on with my day. Been running this way for 20 years, and no problems. And I also dont have to waste time taking the oil to disposal. I taught my kids how to change their own oil to, and they do what I do now. Not everyone has a place to change oil when you live in a city and only have the parking lot to work on. Sometimes money spent is worthwhile. I keep my vehciles for10 years plus, but this is a worthwhile skill to know

Why don't you use copper washer on drain plug? That's the proper procedure...
