I used to feel guilty about using an old book in art...but when a book is so obviously deteriorating and will, most likely, end up in the bin...why NOT give it new life? Old books should be like old people...give both of them a new purpose and reason to be instead of leaving them languishing on a shelf.

I always look forward to your videos! I love your set up and like you I hunt for old books. I recently found a book of old maps someone made. I can't wait to use them in my journal soon. I also found a old children book but has a awful damp or dusty odor. Does anyone know how to make it smell better? I love to reuse the illustrations in my journal if I can get rid of the smell. Thanks for all your wonderful videos!
I love that! I also found a book with maps those old colors are just super easy to style in your spreads. Maybe you can try sealing it in a bag or tupperware box with some soda or kat litter. Hope it helps!
I love this shade of blue! 💙 I'm always so amazed at how you just sit down, fiddle a bit with the pictures and just paste it down immediately. I turned out fidgeting a lot with the photos and kept confusing my camera's auto brightness with my black jacket;;
I, too, dont like the way I calligraphy majuscule F, even J so both letters I end up writing in miniscule instead.
As always, I keep getting shocked when the video ends even though the time stamp says 12 minutes. I enjoy the voice-over so maybe I dont notice. Also, lucky you~ You get to see Dodie again 😭💙

Hi Noen! Thank you! I really like this color of blue as well. It doesn't always work but if I just first look at what pictures go well together. Like dodie's jacket with the blue from the vintage paper. If this matches it isn't really important where you place the items. The more you practise the fast it goes. The stuggle with camera's. I think working with a bit darker background (eventhough it isn't the ultimate aesthetic I was going for) really helps my camera to keep focused. I also just film with my phone (samsung galaxy s8) And when I start the recording (FHD) I focus and up the brightness a little bit. It takes so long untill you figure out how to get the best result with your camera. That is why I didn't buy a new proper camera yet, because I know I will have so many issues with filming for almost an hour, how I will film overhead, all that stuff. But this phone makes it so easy. I have enough space on there, just film, transfer it to my (boyfriends) pc and edit. It makes the whole process a lot faster. I hope you will figure it out.

@@EsmeeHeebing Thank you for all those tips! It makes sense now. 😮💕 Yes, I'm just hoping I will figure it out soon, and discover my ultimate aesthetic too. Our family camera is so old, my phone's (It's also Samsung, but J7 Pro) has better quality than it, haha. I'll try to replace my table somewhere further than beside the big window. I'm learning a lot~
Oh, and I almost forgot, belated Happy birthday to your boyfriend! I've been detached with the net these days so I hope you guys had a wonderful day.
