How Hard is it to Beat Tiny Tina's Wonderlands With ONLY Unique Gear?

- Ever wonder when you can get your first unique in TTWL? Level 11. That's right, you play through quite a bit of the game before you get a usable weapon, making this run significantly different from other runs.
Once I got my first few uniques, the run was practically normal from then on, but the beginning was a gear-less and ability-only struggle. You'd have to be crazy to try this, as just when you thought something was difficult, the next threat is way worse.
Overall, the run was not too horrible, it just highlights the lack of choice in the early game, forcing you to do the story before you can get any unique gear. The reason I didn't do all the Mount Craw missions is because it would have taken way too long to justify the rewards.

So... You can get The Goblin Repellent from A Farmer's Ardor... The one time I don't do/check that mission is the one time it is important to the run. There is always one major mistake in each run for me.

This was probably one of my favorite games in the series. Too short but what a blast to play the entire thing through with my buddies
It would have been perfect if there was a new game (like TVHM in the other BL games), but I really like playing it too! I'm hoping to do a co-op run with my dad sometime, and eventually a Chaos 100 streamed run.

yeah dryl´s smg slaps SUPER hard on a elemental build/character its always fire and while shooting it randomly spits out a bouncing thunderball which upon hitting an enemy turns into a big electrified sphere dealing constant dmg, so its not just single target dmg but also helps a lot with mobbing.
This was the one time I didn't go an elemental-focused build, so I'll definitely need to try that on another character then.
I can barely tell that elf's gender.
That is the issue with TTWL's character character, it's made for unrealistic characters.
@@LookIntoGaming most stylised media don't heavily distinguish sex by the facial characterizations. It's a reflection of life itself; we just don't have drastic differences between sex characteristics *facially* IRL.
I think it's a cool customizer personally, super stylized and varied without taking on the classic fantasy trope of

(I call arrows an element because they deal more damage over time when you stick more arrows on an enemy)

Unique gear has red texts, that's why some people consider legendaries unique, and they are usually rewards from missions, although there are a few rare exceptions, like the farmable Rough Rider in BL2.

For my runs, I prefer not to use limited gear, but it would definitely count as a unique piece of gear in that case.
there is a unique smg at the start of the game called nightshade which does cryo damage
Is that the guaranteed spawn smg at the beginning of the game? I never really thought of that one since I just use it until I get a drop from Ribula.

But can you beat Wonderlands with only SPELLS?
That's another run I've wanted to do in this game, and I think it will be very fun, especially with Spellshot and 2 spell slots.
@@LookIntoGaming what second class would you take? I'd guess Boightcaller for that sweet sweet elemental damage buffing. But I never actually got around to using BC so idk if it's as good as they made it sound.
I haven't thought of that yet, but BC is very tempting, or Stabbomancer, as that class has a few cool elemental skills. I've played a few runs and gotten to high chaos levels with BC, and I think it's a really fun class, especially with the Bog Totems, which are like short duration turrets.
@@LookIntoGaming I really wish I could have finished another playthrough of WL. Unfortunately the game is HORRIBLY optimized on PS4, and as such it takes way too long, when games like BL2 take only a short time.
I get it, modern game on older system and all, but man it puts a damper on things when the game looks gross like it does on PS4.
I understand. I played a ton of BL3 on the Xbox One X (the last gen one), and I only played it since there was not much else I could play at the time, but farming was horrible due to slow loading screens.
it says mistrial, you keep pronouncing it like mistrull. "all rise"? like a judge says to the court?
I tend to pronounce things in my own way, especial if I haven't heard the word before, and the red text is probably because you're a Pirate Lawyer in the mission, so it makes sense.

The challenge is the beating the game its trying not to go insane while listening to the god awful dialogue
I don't really have a problem with the dialogue in TTWL, considering it's hard to do worse than BL3.

TTWL is great for a playthrough every so often, and I really wish the DLCs were more like other Borderlands games, I don't know why they changed their design strategy. As for the endgame, I want to get to chaos 100 to see how it really is, but that takes a long time.
Why skip Mt. Craw? There are several uniques there.
I know, but at the time, I had no weapon, and it takes a super long time to complete the missions there to get the rewards.

You cheated your own challenge with the very first weapon only being epic not a unique. I mean you do you, but not worth watching after that.
Unique just means it has red text but is not a legendary, purples with red text count
Like the other response, Unique gear has red text, and comes in blue, purple or orange rarity. I don't count legendaries as uniques in my runs, because I have already done legendary-only runs, and I want to try guns I normally wouldn't use. Fun fact: I believe there are only 2 non-BPO rarity uniques: The Basic Repeater in BL2 and The Cracked Sash in BL1.
I think there’s a white unique in bl3s Wild West dlc.

It definitely isn't the best Borderlands game, but it is nice for a playthrough every so often. I also want to get to max chaos level sometime.
