A graveborn main specced into spellshot has armor called Lich, while a spellshot main specced into graveborn has armor called Warlock. Yeah, armor determines appearance, and your class determines how useful a piece of armor is. Not only can you only benefit from the skill bonuses if you are the relevant class, armor also boosts class power that only applies to you if you are that class. So yeah you can be a stabbomancer/brr-zerker and run around looking like a spellshot, but you won't get a lot of the bonuses from your armor if you do that.

for newer players, the max amount of moon orbs is now 16k and the max cost of rerolling is 2k so you can keep rerolling forever!! also about loot luck, It was either gamerant or some other such article named "what not to do in wonderlands" and it said that do not bother collecting loot luck dice, its tedious & time consuming and does not give worthwhile benefits 😂 yeah.. they really did say that..
Disagree. I think it keeps the farming fantasy alive whilst still allowing for some bad luck protection. Farming one weapon and being absolutely, 100% guaranteed to be able to get what you want from it every single time makes gear farming exceptionally boring very fast, as you'll only ever need that one copy. If you don't get the roll you want, though, you can go get a new one and try again.
@@tylersmith3533 Not true at all. You already have to farm for all the other parts of the weapon. Hoping it has the right grip, barrel, w/e weapon parts you want. Adding another aspect to that increases the difficulty ^10 of getting exactly what you want. Which is why they removed that in BL3 by letting people reroll their annoints. I am almost positive it'll come to this game in full and this is just an oversight/bug so I'm not worried but it is a little annoying atm.
@@tylersmith3533 I'm not saying do away with the cap but rather have the cap match with a number of orbs you can hold in some way. Like make so you get 8 or 10 rolls and then it locks it but the way it is right now mechanically speaking you can reroll infinitely if there's wasn't a cap on orbs, making there be a cap on both and have it even out so say you max your number of rerolls you end with an even number of orbs or something. It's more of a compulsive wanting everything to be organized thinf rather than wanting the function of it to change
@@b4n4ft0r5 thats what Im saying, BL2 didnt feature enchanting and it still had a ton of farming for parts. I mean I have like 4 maybe 5k hours since BL2’s original release and I’ve never seen an actual legit 94% Sham in my game.
Super glad they listened to the complaints about legendary drop rates. I never felt good Abt legendary items on bl3 bc it felt like an every fifteen minutes thing. I've managed to obtain ONE legendary in wonderlands so far and it wasn't even good. But that makes me continue to have the game teasing need to get good items
Can you get the same enchant multiple times when rerolling the same piece of gear? Would be super frustrating trying to get a specific one and instead getting the same one over and over if they limit you
man, I really wish loot luck wasn't a thing on gear. it makes me feel a little restricted as I am always keeping my loot luck gear on rather than using gear that is better for my build. I also wish the armor wasn't a forced cosmetic. It would have been super cool to unlock new armor pieces and FULLY customize
This is good info. However, the game is meant to be played more than once so missing the stuff is great because you get to do better on your next run from what you learn from the first run.
Would be great if they did a "true vault hunter" mode with the option to respec starter class at you restart the campaign. For my 2nd playthrough I'm hitting 40 first so I can get maxed out quest loot this time around.
If you have ambi hextrous on as a spellshot, does your second spell now count as your action skill, or does it replace it? Like if you get bonus action skill cooldown or action skill damage, does that buff the second spell you have equipped? Or does it just buff nothing?
One thing that I just now figured out that I wish someone made a video on to tell me is apparently depending on your class mod it changes your ability. Like my Threads of Revenge gives me an orb turret type thing that blasts through enemies while my Inflammation of crumbling ashes gives me a flamethrower ability
I feel you answered this (when talking about blast gasp) but just want to be sure im not missing something. If you equip a class mod that ups a skill you have yet to unlock (be able to put points into) on the skill tree, it still increases it? Thus making it active? I actually avoided some class mods because i felt they wouldn’t activate since i hadn’t unlocked them. I feel they should have an indicator that shows if it’s active or not, because even though it may work, on the skill tree it shows as it being inactive (no numbers by it). Anywho, thanks for the useful info!
Hey have you found a “quaking sundering” spell yet? The quakes split off and can hit the same enemy multiple times in consistently one shotting any non boss enemy 2 levels above me please let me know what you think of the spell!
I've got a purple spell that drops the meteor that does frost damage and it splits into smaller ones. It's strong. Not sure if it's the same one or not.
I finished the story using one quaking sunder and another sunder that leaves a molten line where it fires, so I would do them both together and get the one that splits and leave a molten strip , it was so very over powered.
I have that sundering spell and a shark sundering spell and they've carried me to end game just through the amount of lifesteal I get whenever it damages an enemy.
moon orb re-roll cost should just be capped to 200 or 1000 unless moon orbs are super common. Also been hearing something about item cards not showing up at all for splitscreen players unless they inspect an item? Anyone know if that got fixed with the day 1 patch, or if that's still an ongoing issue?
I appreciated some of these, just not fond of "Look for this weapon!" and "this spell!" tips. Those don't age well in a game like this and half the fun of borderlands in finding those fun combos yourself. Why just watch a video for that? That's like poking a hole in a present the week before opening it. It'd be nicer to focus on systems/strategies that are likely to remain useful and maybe aren't clear enough in the game by default. Still, thank you for putting in the work for the video.
I just stumbled on your video thanks for the info! I'm not far into it all I have stayed away from it I'm not sure if it is the way I set it up or what but I have no view of weapons/items when I look at them. I have no knowledge anything about the gun or what type same with shields everything. On previous borderlands I could inspect/checkout an item prior to learn the specs see the percs but now I just have to hope that it is decent. I can see the manufacturer but nothing else not even what the item looks like.
I had randomly started using one of the purple cryo SMGs, it was melting enemies around its level. Now that enemies are a higher level (I’m just now hitting level 26) it’s not AS useful, but still good.
About your strongest spell I don't know if thats true, I found a triple ice spike with multi cast, it regularly hit higher numbers then the one in the video, I think there are too many elements with spells as a mechanic to really pin down a single meta spell because like I said spells have too much happening! Which is great because it means people are free to enjoy whatever!
I’ve been playing since around 8am. This game is better than I had hoped for. Character creation is great. My character looks just like me. I pushed a job to tomorrow so I could fly to NZ and start my first run today. Thanks for the tips man! I’m gonna start an alt tonight and figure out what Class will be my main.
Don't do side quests until you're max level... rewards like spells and weapons will scale and you can't repeat quests to get them again... they will appear in vendors but could take forever to get... so get to max or chaos levels first before side questing.
Maybe they increased the maximum with patch 1.05 because I have 16000 as my quantity. It was red for a moment but even the enchanting box says I have 16000.
I dont think they should change the enchant system cost at all as right now it forces players to go and get the item again instead of just getting one item and never getting it again and just rerolling for some low cost like 100 orbs or something. just my opinion but i prefer it this way.
Watching this late, but still good tips. I actually came across a few cast down thunder type spells and favored the earthquake ones over it. So ill give it another go.n
for the reroll, it should be capped at 4K at 11 rerolls if they want to have it be costly but doable. also 4K seems like a weird cap, usually 9999 or something. might be altered after launch hopefully. also for the classmod changing your clothes.... kinda hoping we can convert the mods into cosmetics, cause i KNOW i will love a certain look but the mod will be trash. ie, have an NPC that will dismantle the mod but you get the clothes for the new-u station. you'll lose the mod entirely but i feel that would work out well. i know 90% of the time you wont even see your character but it's the feel that counts.
@@humanhomer6114 You dont have to change your time zone. I don't have a PS, but on xbox, you don't mess with the time at all. Well its cause cryo is the best element I'm the game imo which is fine but the other elements are just sub par compared to it
Buff the other elements leave ice alone I'm finally glad ice is the best it's been meh in every other bl game ever
@Moxy, OK, I might have been dumb but I went Graveborn + Clawbringer (Gloombringer) and I'm having a hard time figuring out what skills to use in the Clawbringer side. At least skills that synergize with a Graveborn. Can you make a video to help me out? PLEASE!
for newer players, the max amount of moon orbs is now 16k and the max cost of rerolling is 2k so you can keep rerolling forever!! also about loot luck, It was either gamerant or some other such article named "what not to do in wonderlands" and it said that do not bother collecting loot luck dice, its tedious & time consuming and does not give worthwhile benefits 😂 yeah.. they really did say that..
I actually got that frost hyperion smg at level 4 and it easily carried me to level 14, havent been able to get another one since...
They definitely need to cap enchantment reroll cost at like 4k or increase the amoint you can hold to 10k or something
@@yolyrodz33 Your opinion is trash
Super freaking excited for tonight
So looking forward to finally getting this next week, when I can finally get out of home thanks to the flooding in QLD.
Moxie I took your advice and I got the game I haven't been playing for a week. I'm liking it.
Can you tell me why they call Shields wards??
Great Video. Needed this info.
This was so helpful thank you for this early on information ☺️ ☺️
Can you get the same enchant multiple times when rerolling the same piece of gear? Would be super frustrating trying to get a specific one and instead getting the same one over and over if they limit you
Yes. I had this happen 3 times in a row. I dont recall if the percentage was different, but everything else was the same.
man, I really wish loot luck wasn't a thing on gear. it makes me feel a little restricted as I am always keeping my loot luck gear on rather than using gear that is better for my build. I also wish the armor wasn't a forced cosmetic. It would have been super cool to unlock new armor pieces and FULLY customize
Yes.
I learned a lot of new things.
I now know to NOT sell every item that is not my class mod.
Because I be selling ALL of them.
Thank you, Moxsy!
Super informative and useful video before starting Moxsy, thank you! Keep up the awesome work!
Moxy you have the best videos as you teach not just play!!! Keep it up mate!!!
ps: the cryo SMG with the multishot wave variant can also be found on Feriore smgs and their pixie variant copies the multishot mechanic
This is good info. However, the game is meant to be played more than once so missing the stuff is great because you get to do better on your next run from what you learn from the first run.
Would be great if they did a "true vault hunter" mode with the option to respec starter class at you restart the campaign.
For my 2nd playthrough I'm hitting 40 first so I can get maxed out quest loot this time around.
the possibility of bricking your gun and making you go farm a new one makes 100% sense to me and i think it should stay
I actually agree.
If you have ambi hextrous on as a spellshot, does your second spell now count as your action skill, or does it replace it? Like if you get bonus action skill cooldown or action skill damage, does that buff the second spell you have equipped? Or does it just buff nothing?
It's a spell,look at any spellzerking video
@@devxved obviously it’s a spell I’m asking if it also counts as the action skill
@@RCunderscore No, you are literally replacing your Action Skill with a second spell that follows all the spell rules including passives.
One thing that I just now figured out that I wish someone made a video on to tell me is apparently depending on your class mod it changes your ability. Like my Threads of Revenge gives me an orb turret type thing that blasts through enemies while my Inflammation of crumbling ashes gives me a flamethrower ability
Great video, a lot of very useful info
You're the best, Mox 💜
I feel you answered this (when talking about blast gasp) but just want to be sure im not missing something. If you equip a class mod that ups a skill you have yet to unlock (be able to put points into) on the skill tree, it still increases it? Thus making it active? I actually avoided some class mods because i felt they wouldn’t activate since i hadn’t unlocked them. I feel they should have an indicator that shows if it’s active or not, because even though it may work, on the skill tree it shows as it being inactive (no numbers by it). Anywho, thanks for the useful info!
Helpful started playing yesterday just got to Brighthoof
One of the better of these videos I've seen.
@@crazyhawk77 nah the one I use is like a fissure in the ground the erupts and splits off
I finished the story using one quaking sunder and another sunder that leaves a molten line where it fires, so I would do them both together and get the one that splits and leave a molten strip , it was so very over powered.
I have that sundering spell and a shark sundering spell and they've carried me to end game just through the amount of lifesteal I get whenever it damages an enemy.
More tips/tricks guides plz.
Much appreciated
moon orb re-roll cost should just be capped to 200 or 1000 unless moon orbs are super common.
Really helpful video, thanks mate
I just stumbled on your video thanks for the info! I'm not far into it all I have stayed away from it I'm not sure if it is the way I set it up or what but I have no view of weapons/items when I look at them. I have no knowledge anything about the gun or what type same with shields everything. On previous borderlands I could inspect/checkout an item prior to learn the specs see the percs but now I just have to hope that it is decent. I can see the manufacturer but nothing else not even what the item looks like.
Honestly it's insane to see how far you're channel has come since the start of Borderlands 3. You deserve it
I had randomly started using one of the purple cryo SMGs, it was melting enemies around its level.
Which is great because it means people are free to enjoy whatever!
im enjoying this game so much
nvr played boderlands in the past either
I’ve been playing since around 8am. This game is better than I had hoped for. Character creation is great. My character looks just like me. I pushed a job to tomorrow so I could fly to NZ and start my first run today. Thanks for the tips man! I’m gonna start an alt tonight and figure out what Class will be my main.
Wait... you flew to NZ instead of changing the time? Respect 💯🤣🙏🏾

I just finished the game and I’m at end game now. Without watching any spoilers. Time to go back and watch all these vids out
I dont think they should change the enchant system cost at all as right now it forces players to go and get the item again instead of just getting one item and never getting it again and just rerolling for some low cost like 100 orbs or something. just my opinion but i prefer it this way.
That's dumb
@@zombiekirby1304 nope it's a farming game so guess what farm , you don't like farming don't play this game

Watching this late, but still good tips.
I actually came across a few cast down thunder type spells and favored the earthquake ones over it. So ill give it another go.n
Ive been using the cloudburst arc torrent since I first got one early. Kept finding them luckily!
for the reroll, it should be capped at 4K at 11 rerolls if they want to have it be costly but doable. also 4K seems like a weird cap, usually 9999 or something. might be altered after launch hopefully.
also for the classmod changing your clothes.... kinda hoping we can convert the mods into cosmetics, cause i KNOW i will love a certain look but the mod will be trash. ie, have an NPC that will dismantle the mod but you get the clothes for the new-u station. you'll lose the mod entirely but i feel that would work out well. i know 90% of the time you wont even see your character but it's the feel that counts.
Keep up the great vids moxsy can't wait to join in the fun in a few hours!
If you are on console, you could change your region to New Zealand, you can play now.
@@CouchGuy19 yeah I tried and it dosent work still have to wait til 12 on console
@@humanhomer6114 It def works. Its 4:05 PM for me, and I've been playing since 6am.
Edit: I should clarify that I'm on xbox as well.
@@CouchGuy19 what time zone did you use ?
@@humanhomer6114 You dont have to change your time zone. I don't have a PS, but on xbox, you don't mess with the time at all. You go into the system setting, click on language and location, and change the location to New Zealand. Then it requires a system restart. It will keep your local time and allow you to play. Then once midnight hits, you can change the location back to the US or wherever you are from.
The loot luck was very helpful.. thanks legend
That first assault sand hawk gun was one of my first 2 or 3 guns LOL
The loot roll reminds me of warframe, with kuva. They fixed it some how….
It's worse than Kuva rerolling though.
Awesome video. Thanks Moxsy..
Excellent explanations! Than you!
So I’m was just seeing if it’s still like the same game play and what not for us og’s that are just getting into the game atm, but this helped out b4 opening up the game
Great video very informative thank you.
Couldn't you just backup a character before trying to roll enchantments? Is there not a "Locker" system working independently of your game save, like BL3?
Cheating is lame
@@omensoffate Maybe 4 days ago, I literally spent 20,000 ERIDIUM for a Cryo ASE anointment. You know how long 20k takes to get legit? There's no way I'm rerolling in this game that has a cap AND an ever-increasing amount of reroll cost, without backing-up my save file.

you recommend just finishing story quest before you start the side quest for the gears?

I have absolutely loved this game I finished it last night and I'm gonna start another play through with another combo of classes. I had some lag hear and there and problems with shaft disconnecting alot but for the most part there were no game breaking issues for me (playing on Ps5) was even thinking of getting it on my Xbox One Series X to play with my mate. The only issue I have is the weapons look almost identical but with different enchants and damage. I feel like that was lazy on there part. My first play through I did SpellShot and Graveborn so anyone who wants to suggest the next class combo I should try out go right ahead 😊
there's crossplay, so literally no reason to get a second copy of the game :) sony finally bent and jumped onto it
I'm playing with stabbomancer brrserker combo and it's insane(stabbomancer primary class) and I use the "invisibility" ability for critic damage and it's fun, you can also do stabbomancer and spore warden, or melee builds.

I have a fire version of the cryo smg and it doesn't shoot the laser qnd is closer to the style of the cryo
i haven't picked up the game yet, but is there any early guidance on how to tackle initial playthroughs with respect to side quests? with BL2 i always saved side quests until end game, but with BL3 had a lot more flexibility i found to be a pretty big qol improvement. curious how this plays
Kinda disappointing the look of the armor is tied directly to the class mods. Cosmetics and Stats should always be two separate and distinct systems. Being forced to decide between style and effectiveness is not fun.
Still looking forward to release and am certain it will still be chaotic great.
Lmao
For sure im agree with this. I want to look how i want.

Are loot luck dice only the ones on overworld or do i have to find the ones in the maps too?
I’m having a blast ! I wish I would have have picked spore warden first but I picked spellshot ! I enjoy it but I want a pet lol ! I’m level 10. Awesome game !
A couple more levels and you can multi class and get a pet
I started as spellshot then took clawmancer as my second for my pet (wyvern) he is so handy
Can I use a different piece of gear while farming and then swap to luck gear right before the boss dies and get the luck bonus benefit that way?
What’s the recommended field of view for PS5 without affecting FPS.. I m using 90 currently
Are you working on builds yet? Looking for a main class spellshot running double spells
