Those all sound awesome! I just wish that TTWL was more popular.2 neat run ideas I have are using the Spellshot's arrow barrage only (which is just an ability-only run, but still a cool idea) and a run where I can only fight when I'm using the Graveborn's blood sacrifice (I believe) ability. I don't really want to say the characters the runs are based off yet, but if I do the runs, they will be awesome.
There's a great example of my 3 brain cells hard at work. I must have been trying to find something cool to say about The Blister, and completely forgot about The Clipper...
I recently just picked up enhanced, i was putting off DLC cause i heard that it always scaled to level. Glad to see i can run it without being worried about baddies around every corner.
I've always thought the DLCs were super difficult, until I figured out the right order to complete them in, then you are usually at the right level or slightly over leveled for them.
Considering the rarity of legendaries in BL1, you could count them. Since they are world drops (and because I want to save legendary only for later) I won't count them for my unique-only runs. I already did legendary-only for all the other games so far, and I want to explore all the unique gear instead.
I'm actually revisiting BL1 nowadays (at least when I have time ) and I plan to continue trough PSQ, 2 and 3. I used toplay the 3 first one on my old xbox 360, but now that i have a pc i'ts much better. Gawd the Nostalgia hits hard
That's basically what I do for Borderlands games, I do a run of each game in the series, then wait awhile then repeat the process. As odd as it sounds, BL1 is my least played game, and I forget just how good and fun it is.
I agree. Even though really difficult runs are enjoyable to watch, I can understand why they take so long to make. The other reason the challenges I do are relatively easy is because I'm not actually very good at BL2.
Thank you very much! I also get an odd feeling of nostalgia when I play BL1, even though BL2 was my first Borderlands game, and I didn't play BL1 until many years later.
Well technically, yes, but I want to keep legendaries in their own challenge, as the unique-only run focuses on looking at all the cool gear you might not normally use. And for all the other games in the series, I have the legendary-only runs that focus on well, the legendaries.
Huh? It's a unique (that's why I used it in this run), and I think it's a guaranteed drop from both sources. There is a legendary called the Savior that's very similar, and apparently it can merge with the bone shredder, if that's what you're talking about.
Ah. I don't think there's a dedicated drop for that, but it was funny that I got one when I wasn't looking for it. I don't think I would get one if I farmed for it.
Glad to hear you liked it! I am currently working on the Borderlands 2 version, and I think it will be even more awesome! And of course, the TPS, BL3, and TTWL will be very interesting to see.
I'm more into creative and sandbox games, so I don't think I have the skills or calm to ever do a souls-like game. Borderlands' late game is near the cap of my skill level, but perhaps one day.
Now I'm interested in doing a full Mordecai playthrough. He is my favorite BL1 Vault Hunter, but I've only played him a few times, and I've never gone into TVHM with him.
@@LookIntoGaming yea I played him because I previously played Roland and tried Lilith but didn't like her, so I tried Mordecai and now he's my favorite
The odd thing is that Lilith is my furthest save (somewhere in the 2nd playthrough and high level), but I definitely want to get a max level Mordecai and Roland some time.
@@LookIntoGaming I would just like to say I was wrong about the birds damage. It is not the greatest against armored enemies but out for blood generally replaces damage end game, for me at least.
Pretty good run and I liked the singing at the end, though I think you did miss five or six uniques, not counting the Rider. In the base game, you missed three or four guns; Marcus has three quests and beating the second one makes Helena give you a quest to kill a boss called One-Eyed Jack. He drops a unique revolver called the Madjack, and turning in the quest gives you a unique combat rifle called the Sentinel. The third gun is the Dove, which you get by doing the missions to unlock the bounty board in Rust Commons East and then doing the three quests with Altar Ego in the name. The fourth gun is the Nailer, which I'm guessing you probably got but I don't remember it being shown in the video since you only really focused on the Patton. If you didn't get it, it's from the side mission you get in Rust Commons East to kill a scythid named Bleeder. The other two uniques are from the Knoxx DLC; over in I think the Sunken Sea you can find a midget named Thirsty inside a shack near the start of the map (I think it's directly to your right after driving down to the sand), and he has a few missions. The first one gives you a pistol called the Chiquito Amigo for beating it, and the second or third one has you fight a boss named Motorhead, who's actually a sort of zombified cyborg version of Sledge according to the mission description. He has either a 5% or 10% chance to drop the Chopper and, as long as you don't turn in the mission, he'll respawn after you leave the map. There's also a dumpster in his arena that always spawns a loot homie.
First, thank you for the compliment! Hearing people say stuff like that makes my day! I also had no clue I missed that many uniques. My original plan was to collect all the uniques in each run, but with the amount of them in each game (and more importantly, clan wars has unique rewards on both sides I think) it would just take too long to get them all, but I will try to get as many as possible that are in my path to help diversify my gameplay.
Got it; I only really brought up that you missed some uniques since you mentioned in the video you thought you got them all besides the Rider, so I thought I may as well bring them up so that whenever you do another run of 1 (be it for a video or just for fun), you know about a few more cool guns you can get to spice up that playthrough and any future playthroughs. Some of those guns, namely the Sentinel, are even ones I regularly use, provided I didn't get a legendary or a really powerful regular gun that's better than it before I get it.
I had a feeling I wouldn't be able to get all the uniques, but my favorite parts of runs like this is using guns and gear I normally wouldn't use. For example: I completely forgot the Typhoon exists, and that was one of my favorite weapons in the run (besides the Patton, but I get that in most runs, I just swap to a better revolver when I get one).
The Patton's a gun I also usually end up using, provided I don't have a better revolver before I get it. It's definitely in the running for my favorite unique in the game, though it's a shame the Enhanced edition of Borderlands 1 made it so it can't spawn with a scope or ironsights anymore for some reason
I agree, you would think that T.K's Wave would be the same gun that he holds, but it isn't. It would have been neat to pick it up as a tribute during the 'Is T.K. OK?' mission.
I always used to struggle with Borderlands games, but now that I'm getting better, I want to do these challenges to get even better and learn more about the games.
That happened to me a bit near the beginning, and I'm not sure what causes it, but I believe it could be internet, so try switching to local or offline mode. The only other options are lowering your graphics or updating your drivers.
In a way, but uniques are generally one-per-run from missions, and rarely farmable from certain enemies. Legendaries are mostly world drop, and can be obtained multiple times. I should have specified this in the video, but hindsight is 2020 and all.
For the idea of trying a run with legendaries only, couldn't you run it on goty enhanced version just bc you start the game with two legendaries in your inventory? I know enhanced version sucks but it would make the run idea viable
How do you acquire the legendaries? This playthrough was on the enhanced version, and the 2 guns I started with were from shift codes. Legendary only would still be insanely difficult, due to the world drop legendary chances, so I would need to find some way to farm a group of enemies or other legendary source.
I only used unique guns for combat, but my brain still needs the dopamine rush of picking up rare loot. (And I needed to sell them for money to obtain med kits and SDUs)
Well yes, but actually, no. Legendaries are mostly world drop and farmable, but Uniques are mostly from missions and rarely enemies (like Bone Head) it's complicated, that's why my source is the Borderlands wiki's unique page.
