Fiber Spider you are a very good teacher. The last shawl that I had made was the Virus Shawl Meets Granny, all I can say was WOW! I received so many amazing compliments for your work and my color scheme. I actually used the same yarn as you did, the Mandala Warlock. For this shawl which is going to my mother in law, is with Comfy Cotton Blend by Lion Brand which of course is a #3 weight, and I'm using the 5.5 crochet needle. The Comfy Blend seems to be a heavier yarn which makes this project just beautiful. Thank you so much for being a terrific teacher, I just love your tutorials. Keep up the great work. If I had an apple for you, I would send it to you. :)

This is beautiful....the colors great! I am wondering if this could be adapted to make a lap rug? I spent the day with my 92 year old aunt today and noticed she didn't have a nice small throw for when she is in her wheel chair so I am looking for something special to make her that isn't the "same old patterns" and she could use some color in her room.

Hi Spider, I am making the Brown Butter shawl that I saw on Moogly....forgive me for straying. Lol. The instructor explains the pattern fine in the beginning but then jumps to a picture of the shawl and tries to explain the rest of the rows to the end. I found this way of teaching to be very confusing as there is one row that she changed and I couldn’t figure out why she made it that way. It has been so frustrating. I even went to the PDF to see if I could figure it out and I could not. Would it be possible for you to create this shawl or something similar. Your teaching style is impeccable! You are a pleasure to watch and learn from!!!! Thank you so much for your tutorials. 😘

I love this "On Butterfly Wings" shawl pattern, but I want to make it in those exact colors you made your shawl with. You said you used Caron Big Cake yarn, but I cannot find that colorway. I have looked high and low for the yarn you used, but I'm simply unable to find it. I used Google Images, web searches, Amazon, Joann's, Walmart, E-bay, Etsy, Michaels, Yarnspirations, but I cannot find it. Please, try to remember where you bought your yarn, and If it was actually Caron Big Cake yarn, or some other brand yarn. It would be wonderful if you could find the label that came with the yarn. I am most disappointed that I cannot find the yarn you used. It is really a beautiful shawl, and I wanted to make it very badly, but I only want to use the yarn that you used to make your "On Butterfly Wings" shawl. It's absolutely stunning!! Thank you so much. Clara

very pretty pattern.. thank you.. Spidey, would you do a tutorial, in the future, showing us how to convert a shawl pattern into a blanket pattern, please? it's probably simple, but in my mind it's complicated.. many of the shawl tutorials have beautiful patterns which would make lovely blankets/throws, as gifts (so far, the Seaside Shawl is my #1 favorite and On Butterfly Wings is my 2nd).. thank you so much.. hope you and mom are doing well
