Homerun again!..Because of your teachings I feel like a pro now....if it wasn't for you I would never had gotten this far with my crocheting...bless you❤❤
I am 72hundred years old. I "discovered" your tutorials with Kaleidoscope Granny. I made it so hard because of my hundreds of years of crochet experience. My granny squares were made different than yours. (no stitch between clusters, only ch 2 between corner clusters) Once I stopped, had a few words with "self", I started from scratch and followed your directions, Amazing! This old dog can learn a few new tricks! Your "chatter" is very soothing; your directions are "simply" divine. THANK YOU!
I'm a beginner at crochet, but watching your channel has made learning so easy for me. You are so patient and your voice is very soothing. I appreciate how you explain everything to us and how you go over every step. I've done your narrow crochet skull scarf, the Lost Souls shawl, and now I'm trying this one. My next will be the dragon scales and I'm so excited! Thank you for being such a great teacher!
My first crochet project. I crossed over from knitting to crochet. I figured cross country flight 6 hours. TSA no problem with crochet hook and yarn. Loved it!! Made a small version per my daughter for her pooch. Will start larger version on flight back to NY. Very relaxing pattern on a plane. Thank you for your excellent teaching tutorial.
First time I have seen you teach. As a veteran secondary teacher I can give you an A+! Who would have thought you were so multidementional! I mean you can be so "Out of this World!
Another great pattern, thanks spider. Gave my last shawl.....the virus meets granny....to a friend for her birthday, and she was delighted with it. The virus meets granny blanket in white has gone to my new great grandson. Now this one is just for me. Stay stitching!
I am super new to crochet and yours are my favorite tutorials so far (I've watched A LOT). Thank you for working real time without fast forwarding. I picked up a skein of red heart Liquid Teal yesterday and I think this will be the PERFECT pattern for it. As soon as I finish my first all double crochet shawl project I'll be ready to move on to something a bit more complicated like this! Thanks for your work!
I think this is by far the prettiest pattern I have tried to date… I have only been crocheting a year and I find you so fun and love love love your happy voice. It makes my heart smile. I have finished one shawl and am now on my second one using Red Heart It’s a wrap Sprinkles which is a #2 with a #5 hook and it is so silky and very pretty. Thank you so much ❤ I know I will make many more of these for gifts
Thanks for your patterns and videos. I have them on a playlist so that I can refer back to them. I am a long time crocheter as was my mom, aunts and grandma. You learn from the best in my book. They would have loved that you share your talent and love of the craft. I am starting to crochet shawls fore patients going through chemo or their care givers. My husband was going through that last year and while he did so well ( and still is) so many were not. he was given a neck rest and a small blanket made and donated by a local church. We appreciated both, so it got me to thinking that I can do something too. A small note will go with each one. I hope that they bring a spot of color and comfort into an otherwise dark time. Keep creating and sharing!
Hello there, I wanted to drop by to say thank you for this tutorial. I actually had the very same yarn on hand so I thought let's give this lapping waves shawl ago, I am so happy I did too. It's gorgeous, I still have quite a bit to do yet before this is finished, I just wanted to thank you for sharing such a beautiful pattern, and for being so gracious with your time in tutoring us Crocheters how to Crochet this beautiful pattern. Love ❤and 💡 light, Tracey.
Hieeeeee! I saw 👀 this simply GORGEOUS pattern and went bonkers over it ❤. Today I will begin this beautiful pattern and hopefully with care and patience I will be able to complete it. Thank you sooooooo very much 💖💖💖💖💖💖💕🤗🤗🤗😘😘😘from one of your Spiderettes,GG 😊
Holy mackerel Mine looks just like yours! You Sir are an excellent tutorial instructor...Thank you for taking the time and making the effort...Prettiest thing Ive ever made!!!
Dear Mr. Spider, I'm a beginner, so i followed you making the lapping waves shawl. it came out beautiful, but there was something missing. it looked unfinished. it was the part which goes around the neck that was bugging me, so what i did, i put three rows, straight from tip to tip. so the collar went up about an inch an half on the neck, was stunning! i made it long, almost to the knees. it was all your teaching that helped me. Your Spiderette, Lisa.
Love all your videos! Made this shawl with 3 skeins of Caron cakes blueberry shortcake, it is beautiful. I was curious about the front post option so I made one with a 3 weight yarn using front post……it is a completely different look, not so much lapping waves, more like ridges. I much prefer the back post, and for me it’s not really any more difficult than the front post. ❤ Thank you for all of your wonderful videos! 🥰
This is another go-to pattern for me. It’s absolutely gorgeous. I just finished one in a lightweight alpaca color gradient yarn and it’s a real showstopper. I’m working on several more, one in some saved skeins of Unforgettables yarn in a blue green combo, one in glitter thread dk combo, and another in a sport weight cotton self striping yarn. It looks good in all of them. You are correct that it’s fiddly but the results are so worth it! Love your shawl patterns so much! Thank you for your teaching and especially for always including an extra repeat.
I’m sooo full of love oh ya for the pattern too 😂. Thanks for the tip on replacing bpdbl for fpdbl , much easier ❤❤❤❤. I tried both, and I think you’ll agree. Thank you
Like the other yarn lovers I know fall for your tutorial. I am smiling happily everytine watch your move and listen to your instruction. You are my third teacher in this crochet world and I am so glad to found your channel. Thank you so much for sharing with us. Hope you have a very good life. Regards far from Indonesia.
I love this pattern! I made one with fingering weight cotton/acrylic that went from yellow-green to green to blue to navy, and it's gorgeous! Thank you for the fabulous pattern and tutorial!
Fiber Spider, I love how you crochet. How you teach us to make something wonderful and great. I think you are worth a million. Thank you again for helping us become successful and proud to crochet. M. Moore-Missouri City, Texas
At first glance I thought this was the crocodile stitch, which I have done…but I put this on to just listen to you which I’m doing you virus v granny stitch shawl, in case you had any hints and tips! I put the shawl I’m doing down and with some scrap yarn did a sample of this with using the front post and I’m loving it (I find the front post easier) I do have a number of your shawls saved in a separate list…so I don’t loss them…and will definitely be doing it next. Thank you for all your help and for your companionship whilst I am crocheting 🧶 😊
Anothe gorgeous shawl from our beloved Fiber Spider! His are the only tutorials I watch, he is a phenomenal teacher. I’m working this one up in Caron Cakes “Faerie Cake” and it’s already gorgeous
After watching this video and falling in love with this pattern, I now realize I am working to pay bills and buy yarn! LOL! Thank you again for posting such educational and fun videos.

Dude… You have completely out spidered yourself! It’s so beautiful and lovely I don’t even have the words. Just fabulous. I’m finishing up your version of the virus blanket, which BTW you explained so well. Big hugs to you!
I look forward to the weekends especially since that is when your crocheting or knitting videos come out. This is beautiful and simple especially with your clear instructions. I love the blue yarn for the one you already completed. Thanks to Russ for providing the yarn for your video.
hola about three years ago I maid your kaleidoscope I just love it, made them for my grandchildren and a friend. Thank you for all your great work. Happy Holidays
Your tutorials are fabulous! You are a wonderful instructor! I’m a beginner and I’ve learned so much! I’ve made several hats, each one turning out better than the last! Now I’m going to make a couple of shawls and a purse! I’m a believer…you are the best!
Love love all your tutorial videos .... Love your teaching and hope you'll be able to con't . to make more as the years go by...and i'll con't. to click and follow and of course subscribed to your AWESOME videos
I've been wanting to make this stitch for some time and tonight was the night with Mandala Baby cake 3 weight yarn in Echo Caves. Well....it's gorgeous! You are amazing and love that you work rounds along with us and don't race through the tutorial. The baby cakes have almost 600 yards each so they also go a long way. I appreciate your point that this is a yarn eater and purchased plenty so I can make this as generous as I want! Thank you!
This is another beauty! Love it. Going to make it in Mary Maxim Prism yarn in variegated blues for a light weight summer shawl. I can already see it in my minds eye with the undulating blues in the lovely waves. I enjoyed the virus shawl so much I have made 4 and gave them as Xmas gifts. Also made with self striping yarns in 2 cakes of Mandela Baby in the darker shades. They turned out spectacularly. Thank you for both tutorials Mr. Spider.
Seaside Mom good idea. I have some blue slowly graduating Red Heart yarn that I’ve use for a shawl in the recent past. I find that it feels more like a 3 than a 4, but it’s thinner for sure. I’ve gotten yard for Mary Maxim and have been happy with it that was via Walmart.com. I always learn stuff from other people‘s comments. Thanks and best wishes to you. 💙
I love this pattern. Already made one shawl and I am going to make another. I really like the way you present the stitches and pattern. You are my favorite on Facebook. Thank you.
U teach well'u take your time talking and crocheting. I will take a chance and make this shawl. Thank u for this vedio. I will look at start looking at your vedios👍👍

I am about half way through completion. I love this stitch. It looks difficult but is so easy. Your tutorials are so easy to follow. I have already made a basket weave blanket and have gotten so many compliments. I look forward to following your projects in the future. Thanks.
The pattern is beautiful. I tried it with front post double crochets and it is gorgeous. Thanks for the suggestion. I like it better than the back post version. I really appreciate your tutorials. You have such patience.
Hello, I'm a beginner, at doing crochet and came across your page, I've made several items, Blankets, Hats, Scoodies and scarves. I'm enjoying your video and following you is so easy, once I have finished this project I will look for more of your crochets. By the way, I'm from New Zealand.
I love your tutorials I am a die hard spiderette. You are going to get me into trouble. Every time you put something new on I want to start it. And of course have to buy more yarn to make it. Lol we do love you fiber spider
😂 I totally agree with you Kathy! I am a new spiderette and I just love me some fiber spider! I too get in trouble for getting too much yarn 🧶 to start all these wonderful patterns in these amazing through tutorials! 💗💗💗💗💗
I'm making mine now with "Shawl in a Ball", soothing blue. Between the yarn type and colors, it does look like frothy ocean waves. I love this pattern!
Hi my favorite crochet tutor!!❤️ This one, oh my lands!!! Whew! For some reason I couldn’t seem to get ending rows and beginning rows lined up correctly in my brain. I kept trying to do it ass-backwards! UGH! I finally just wrote it down and now if I get confused, I can refer to my notes. I suppose I didn’t help matters by tripling the cotton blend yarn I decided to use.🙄(my eyes could not roll any further back) I will definitely send you a pic when I am done with it. I love, love, love this stitch and I’m so excited that I learned it! Thank you a hundred times for all you do for us out here. Stay caffeinated! We love you more than you love us!! Dodi Johnson LasVegas, Nevada🤗
Thank you! You made it so easy to follow you. I have the same color of Red Heart Ombre that you showed as your finished shawl. I can't wait until mine is done!
There is no doubt. You're the best teacher I've ever watched. Thanks. Waiting for more examples. I would be happy to teach Puncho. Thanks. Mali from Israel
Finished!😀 The colors I mentioned before look more like a storm turning into a gentle rain, then back to the storm. It's beautiful! Thanks again for this wonderful tutorial Fiber Spider!
Thank you so much for this tutorial. I started it with the ombre and it looked beautiful, but agreed that it would be too heavy so I've re-purposed the ombre and am now working this up in a 3 weight and it's comming along beautifully!!!!!! Taking longer because I keep stopping to admire "my work", I would have never even tried this without you.....Thank you and Thank you!
Fiber Spider this die hard Spiderette just finished this beautiful shawl. Wish I could send you a picture of it. I used Lion Brand Mandala in Mermaid and Spirit. I used 3 whole cakes of yarn ! Thanks so much for all your help and support with all the crochet tutorials. I crochet and listen to your reading of the awesome fables and stories .😊 I spend a lot of days with your company, your my in my mind Best Friend ! 💯💖 😊 Love ya and I hope ya have a wonderful holiday season filled with sweet blessings ! 💖
Hello Fiber Spider! Now I am working in the shawl but I am used super saver ombre in the color fresh mint ( light green with light grey ). Yes it is super easy and fast doing thank you for your tutorial. 👍👌😘😉
Hi fibre this is another lovely shawl you are amazing, l love it, texture is so nice, thanks so much for all the work you share with us, blessings to you xx
TALENTED!!!! As always you are beautiful 😎. You make it so easy to understand & perfectly done that you feel proud that you were able to complete the project. There were a lot of other tutorials before I found you that I had to scrape because I couldn't get what it was saying or doing. I finally have projects that I have finished & tickled pink when I look at it. Spider, You can tell that you are talented -- you always have some people nick picking with complaints.
Love this pattern and you of course. I'm using Mandala sparkle and the color is Aquarius. I'm using the J hook as you suggested and it's working up beautifully. It reminds me of when I was a kid and I got to see the beach for the first time. Thanks for such awesome videos that I can follow very easy. Keep crocheting!😍
I love this pattern and decided to use Lion Brand Landscapes yarn; color Blue Lagoon. The perfect color to go with the name of the design. I just discovered your videos a couple of weeks ago and I'm just finishing up the Bavarian stitch baby blanket. Thanks for your dedication to the craft of crochet and sharing your talents with us.
Thank you so much dear Fibre for yet one more wonderful tutorial!!! I can't believe I'm doing this?? I'm from the Mediterranean so I call it my Mediterranean waves!!! :-) . You are so great!!! Thank you thank you I love it, and I love your voice and laugh!! Happy and healthy crocheting days to you !!! xx

Hello dear Friend. Nice to see your work. I have watched this before, very interesting pattern. I love all what you have done up till now with the TUDER WINDOWS! I do hope I do not loose you now, as it was earlie in another program. Best wishes to your lovely work.
Thank you so much for your channel and this shawl. After years of trying to crochet and getting nowhere, I watched this video and suddenly it all just clicked. This was my first-ever finished project. You can find pictures of it on Ravelry. I named it the Mome Rath Shawl, after the colorway of the yarn.
Omg I think you are the cutest in the way you explain thoroughly How to crochet 🧶 I just absolutely love you !! Thank you for your patience and the detailed videos you put out for us. I’m fairly new to crocheting 🧶 and you are the second person I have found that that really explains in detail the projects you do and I am absolutely grateful for that being that I can’t afford a class at this time and covid added to that has ruined everything 😂 thank you for sharing your art with us!🥰🥰🥰
Really enjoy all your tutorials. Love your happy giggle, cheers up my day. Keep up the amazing work. Making this one now, bit tedious with the back post thingys but the result will be lovely. Debbie from Oz.
I did the stitch in the front post instead of back post and at first I wasn’t quite sure if I liked it but kept going and it has turned out amazing...it looks different and I am loving it....just had to let it do it’s magic. Thanks for this great tutorial spider! Xo

hello from Jerusalem Israel
thank you so much for your great tutorials
I love your work !!!
THANK YOU!

I just want you to know that your tutorials are amazing! You go slow enough and clearly show the steps. So easy to follow 💞

I was thinking Shawl in a Ball too. How did it turn out?
@@darcy2965 I loved how it turned out!
Ive always wanted to learn this stitch and i get so tangled. Thanks for making it easy...and your voice is soothing lol
Hi my favorite crochet tutor!!❤️
This one, oh my lands!!! Whew! For some reason I couldn’t seem to get ending rows and beginning rows lined up correctly in my brain. I kept trying to do it ass-backwards! UGH! I finally just wrote it down and now if I get confused, I can refer to my notes. I suppose I didn’t help matters by tripling the cotton blend yarn I decided to use.🙄(my eyes could not roll any further back)
I will definitely send you a pic when I am done with it. I love, love, love this stitch and I’m so excited that I learned it!
Thank you a hundred times for all you do for us out here. Stay caffeinated! We love you more than you love us!!

The pattern is beautiful and your's teaching is very clear😊
Working on this shawl right now. Thanks for the tutorial. It looks great.
Thank you! You made it so easy to follow you. I have the same color of Red Heart Ombre that you showed as your finished shawl. I can't wait until mine is done!
I love your tutorials! I'm a beginner and after watching your videos I feel like I can do anything!
Thanks for teaching such beautiful crochet art. You are Amazing 😉
I have done this with back post and front post. The back post definitely makes the shawl lay better and the pieces is more full.
Super pattern thanks fibre spider as always lovely and well explained may try and add it in a different way to a around project I’m working on
It’s a mermaid shawl. How lovely! Thanks for the pattern.

Wish I could take a pic to show the one I’m making. Lovely!

This tutorial was perfect. It was easy to understand and I especially appreciated it was without music.
I’ve been looking for something to make with the yarn my little granddaughter got me for Christmas. This is it!
Looks lovely, well done
I love your work! Its all very beautiful and I am very happy I found your channel. Thank you for the privilege of crocheting with you!
Omg I think you are the cutest in the way you explain thoroughly How to crochet 🧶 I just absolutely love you !! Thank you for your patience and the detailed videos you put out for us. I’m fairly new to crocheting 🧶 and you are the second person I have found that that really explains in detail the projects you do and I am absolutely grateful for that being that I can’t afford a class at this time and covid added to that has ruined everything 😂 thank you for sharing your art with us!🥰🥰🥰
I'm going to try this beautiful pattern with mandala yarn. Thanks for this tutorial you explain very well thank you again!!!!!!
Do you know how many skeins it will take?
Really enjoy all your tutorials. Love your happy giggle, cheers up my day. Keep up the amazing work. Making this one now, bit tedious with the back post thingys but the result will be lovely. Debbie from Oz.
Going into the front works the same and is easier for me thanks for a great video !!
Extremely beautiful pattern. Great tutorial.
I did the stitch in the front post instead of back post and at first I wasn’t quite sure if I liked it but kept going and it has turned out amazing...it looks different and I am loving it....just had to let it do it’s magic. Thanks for this great tutorial spider! Xo
This is beautiful and your color choice is perfect especially for the name.
