I have worked a CAT dealer for over 20 years. And nothing will stop these things when everything is right. The steel mills used to have a ton of these things and old 977s. I did some work for outfit that had a bunch of these things. . But trouble is you can't get parts for these or old d8 s
I ran a 977L, only thing that Operater not doing right, is he should be looking at the edge of his bucket, not down the center, plus you run those off the seat of your pants, it's all in the feel of your machine, and be smooth not jerky, good video though

Actually, Jim Beam spins the tracks too much, that makes my eyes bleed. Tracks will be worn out prematurely.
Usually it's too big or the ground isnt good enough for a 983. 977's were more commonly used.
My dad had 955 + a drott in 60s/70s..SheffieldEngland uk.. sold em to man .came over see em bort em ..from USA 1977 ...

trouble with GDSF is that the machines are too far away to see close up, thankfully captured close in video
