I love these lenses more and more, i also had vintage anamorphics, the blazar A set plus the 85mm and i have Vazen Fullframe Anamorphics, an while all of them have their advantages. I almost everytime grab the saturns, they are simply so easy to work with. Distortion is so easy to fix so i do not care, the flare is a little bit to streaky. And they have no deal breakers. The weight of the vazen is a dealbreaker, the character of the blazar can be a deal breaker for some projects. And the downsides of the sirui just never become deal breaker, sure it would be nice to have more segmented flares and better close focus, but diopters and powergrades like optical drift fix the lack of character and the close focus. also a pro mist is a great combination
Great review. I have the 50mm and love it for travel/landscape type of video. I was thinking of getting a 35mm but after seeing the color change and distortion, maybe I won't. Do you think matching the two focal lengths would be very challenging?
Thanks! The two sequences in this video were a mix of the three lenses. I don't think they are too hard to match unless you were shooting the same subject side by side with the two lenses you might have a bit of work to do.
I have the 75 and love it. Tried the 35 and absolutely hated it. Way too much distortion and any movement of the camera made me sea sick. Maybe I’ll try the 50 soon. Thanks for the comparison!
that dude at 3:35 is a certified silly goose. great vid dude!
Haha definitely. Thanks Tyler!
Super video! loved the colored light source flare testing, great idea!
The master lens reviewer approves! Thanks Mark!

Brilliant test!
Thanks for watching!
love the intro
Thanks Geoff!
Great review. The distortion looks wild, I prefer barrel distortion on anamorphic.
Thanks! Yeah, I think a lot of us do too.

You're welcome. Thanks for watching!
It's stuff like this that make me wish me camera was open gate. Wonder why the camera companies don't just let it happen.
