The Phantom II is one of the best planes of all time. Tamiya are really very high quality kits that justify their price.
I myself am currently struggling with Revell's F-4J in 1/72 scale, which unfortunately requires a lot of patience and adaptation :(
Try the AMT F-4G in 1/48. It will considerably raise your appreciation of your F-4J!!!!
