As a guitarist, metalhead and Metallica fan, it's really great to see how much Metallica means to everyone of us. The legacy they left is incomparable!
They'll never be another band like Metallica or on their level of their global impact and success. To think when they first hit the scene critics were dismissing them..I remember reading articles in Magazines saying such back in the early 80's lmfao

They may became the most successful "Metal" band in the world, but any hungry garage band, which can play their instruments, is much better than this running gag. Money and billboard rankings doesn´t make a good band. Metallica plays since 1991 ´til nowadays cheap riffs and sell it as pure gold to the masses. A genius trick, admittedly.

I always think of the Stone Sour song "Get Inside" as SS Corey and Slipknot Corey getting into an argument with each other. You have one side of his personality going on about all the psychotic shit he's thinking of and the other side yelling at the first to get back inside his head because this isn't the place for that.

I was just thinking that today when I was listening to Trivium's Vengeance Falls, actually been listening to a lot of there albums again for the millionth time in the last several weeks. I honestly think Trivium is probably the closest to being a successor to Metallica than any other band. Lyrically, vocally, intensity and for sure respect to Metallica. I love when Trivium used to do Master Of Puppets live and happy that they did a studio version of it too. Trivium is cut from a very similar cloth to Metallica in my humble opinion, and it's great to see how far they have come since I started listening to them in 2005. My first album from Trivium that I heard was Ascendancy, became an instant fan and of course felt Metallica vibes instantly, but they've really come into their own, they're an amazing band, and I still think that as great as they've become that they are still underrated, but still they continue to grow. Great performance here through and through.
Props to Matt for the down picking. Shows what an insane beast James is, down picking whilst singing. He is in his own league.
