This song has a lyric that I think so many people overlook, maybe it’s because of its simplicity or the specific nature of it but when I’m at my least motivated it pops into my head and always manages to help me through. “The work that stirred your soul, you can make for someone else” When I first heard Worlds I was at my lowest and had no direction with what I wanted to do with my life, and hearing had me mesmerized. I’ve always had a passion for music and loved dissecting it, something about knowing the method behind the art I love has always intrigued me and pushed me to learn all I could about music. Worlds touched that part of me in a way no other music ever had before and I to this day attribute that album with giving my life perspective. I was 11 when I first heard porters music, and it made me want to create. To be able to make something just like what I had a passion for. Unfortunately life got in the way and a lack of upkeep and personal defined success caused me to lose track of that dream and I’d given up trying to make music by the time I reached high school. When Nurture was in its pre-release days and Get Your Wish released it reminded me of the days all those years ago, when I first heard Worlds and was so inspired to create. That feeling was bittersweet. I loved the feeling of passion I got listening to it, and how much it reminded me of my childhood; I hated the feeling of knowing I let that feeling go to waste and didn’t pursue my passion more. When the lyric I mentioned played I immediately broke down, bawling. “The work that stirred your soul, you can make for someone else.” It was porters music that stirred my soul, that helped guide me to my true passion. I thought that dream was dead and that I’d given up on it for good. Hearing the same person, who almost 8 years ago was my sole motivator, say something that felt directed at a younger me who had that passion resonated so deeply within me. It was the push I needed. I’m 20 now. I’ve recently picked back up guitar, learning piano and FL, and I’m going to college for music in a few months. To say that a single sentence, one that most people wouldn’t even give a second glance to, changed my life feels so surreal, but it’s true. I’m happier than I’ve ever been and it’s in great part due to me finding my passion again. If anyone is still reading this then please take this away. Make it for someone else. Create the things that inspired you in the first place because at the end of the day some kid out there who is just mindlessly browsing might find what you made, and even if you don’t know it, you could change their life forever and give them the same inspiration you once felt.
For some reason,I feel like this would be the song that would play during the credits of a video game or maybe a post-credits scene that shows what happened to the characters and what they are doing after everything has died down.Idk
i've often daydreamed of a persona 4 inspired rpg set in middle america having stings of porter for the OP/ED and some inserts, if you're familiar with that game series
music is like a fine cup of tea some likes it with little sugar some others like it with a lot of it the (perfect) amount of sugar may differ from a person to another but in the end we all love and appreciate the wonderful tea we are tasting so can we please just enjoy this tea ?
This sounds really nice, thanks, it turns into a more melancholic piece (the original track is already quite melancholic) but i like it exactly because it sounds so melancholic & powerful at the same time. I really like this edit, and i listen to it from time to time, thanks mate
The fact that the video is from "I want to eat your pancreas" makes me like it even more. Fantastic anime if you haven't seen it. Made me cry... a lot. I'm using the anime in an AMV I'm making for later down the road. Skimming through the movie still hits just as hard. This scene was one of the most beautiful scenes in the movie.
@@DuGongggg The pitch is still downshifted from it having been slowed down by the uploader; but the 1.25x speed is a time-stretch algorithm that doesn't affect pitch. So 1.25x here has the lower vocal but retains the pace.
I would like this more than the original if I had heard this first, but its a little weird, knowing a song by heart and then it being slightly different. Still very good!

@@SuzukiDLL Sorry I didn't mean to seem rude, I just feel like its a huge slap to the face for the artists who made the song and spent dozens of hours composing, producing, mixing and mastering a track, to then have someone just saturate it with reverb and slow it down to make it 'perfect' then theres people who put these 'remixes' on Spotify and profit of of them, I have the same issue with Nightcore.
"Perfection" is the way the artist intended it to be. Honestly this kinda pisses me off. Who do you think you are? If you know so much better then write your own music. Oh you can't? Then stop being so arrogant
im not crying, u r
My boy good taste

Beautiful 🙏🙏🙏
This version makes the original sound like a nightcore remix

wow exactly what i feel when hearing this version !
Thanks for speaking my mind.
I think it's the hope song, you know, when the protagonist is almost dead by itself but then this little hope gets him up again
most possibly the conclusion was done via main character sacrifice.

I heard it was sad, I haven't watched it yet. Still find the name weird tho
Clean Skorpion Have you watched it yet? If not, you’ll understand why the movie is named that way when you watch it lol.
Boi did I clicked baited so hard. Fuck You >:(

this will soon head to recommended in yt someday
exactly and i just get this recomended for some reason lol
soooooooooo awesome, in this version the lyrics meaning get more deeper and i love this(i actually cried a little)
I can almost imagine this is Porter Robinson’s natural voice.
Your slowed versions hit very differently ❤️
if you speed it up to 1.25x it sounds like normal speed with Porter Robinson's real voice
Not gonna lie I listened to this at 1.25x speed for the second half
*but this is the 4 mins and 23 secs I didn’t knew that I liked*
Playing it at 1.25x speed is perfect.
why not just watch the normal video then

You didn't just have to put up Sakura Yamauchi's gif as the wallpaper. Now I'm crying even more >_

U can find it in pinterest. Thats images format is Gif, the anime is I want eat your pancreas
Nice Vaporware
It bothers me that you’re technically right 😶

What anime is the background from?
it's gonna sound weird lmao, but if you haven't found it yet, it's from 'I want to eat your pancreas'
Yep and it’s not an anime series, it’s a movie
0.95 is wow
