I feel like copper can be used in things such as an early villager trade. Something that i think would be cool would be a new type of villager that you can sell things like copper, iron, coal, etc. for special redstone componets that include copper and are only obtainably through that villager
Honestly, all I think copper needs is the copper golem. And yes, I do believe that the copper blocks are some of the most beautiful blocks in the game.
Absolutely. I can't understand why companies make such shit decisions, like the upcoming useless gun ban from the game. Did they not even think about the industrial impact of copper in the world and take it as a reference to make it work like redstone? It isn't hard to notice what copper is actually useful for, you are a multi millionary company goddamnit.
And 1 of the many big problems with redstone is that it requires so much iron that you basically need an iron farm. So, 1 thing you can do is make the redstone components crafted with copper instead.
Honestly this is one of the reasons I love the create mod so much! It adds loads of usefulness to copper while not making it overpowered and it stays at that perfect "useful material to get if you see" level at the mid to late game as well.
Copper should be used to water proof redstone lines. Combine copper and redstone to get wiring which is like redstone but water proof, and can go straight up.
I don't know about using it in a crafting recipie, but I just thought about waterproofing redstone dust by making it be able to place inside copper grates.
You should be able to combine copper and redstone to make a redstone compatible wire that’s can carry signal for twice the length and a repeater with copper than can have no delay
I don't think I like this direct upgrade. What happens to redstone? Its still used in recipes, but not really as a block anymore. What if they could go through blocks, but kept the power level, needing to be replenised by regular repeaters? Itd be too op if it traveled instantly, and hiding Redstone completely is also alot. But to make up for all that, copper wires could turn in any direction, up down north south east west, AND, they could make it so you can deconnect unneeded wires, like two of them standing side by side! Or a cross section!
I think It would need a transformer that takes 5 redstone ticks to activate, but afterwards it can pass trought the copper wire without distance limit, but being unable to power normal redstone components, so that it will need another transformer to be usefull. Or it could be used to upgrade redstone components to have no delay and they to need to be powered by copper wires, not direct redstone, making it a late game improvement. The transformers should be hard to get, like needing ender cristals or something late game to craft
It's really not useless the things they add are pretty cool(spyglass definitely for bedrock players) but it could fo a lot lot more and hope that since copper got updated in 1.2.1 it could also get updated in 1.22
And that is the main problem. I don’t mind new building blocks but if you are going to add an entire new ore to the game then maybe you should make it at least somewhat useful outside of building!? Not everyone plays Minecraft to build structures. Many people play it to explore the world for adventure or they play because they like to solve problems and come up with solutions for those problems, (like making redstone contraptions that can automate or simplify aspects of the game) As it is right now copper is pretty much useless to anyone not interested in building and designing. There is no point to this resource for adventure, or puzzle solving players! And that is why copper needs to get at least some other use besides building material. Because otherwise it’s literally a waste of an ore type! I mean even ores like nether quartz are useful in some redstone recipes but copper doesn’t even have that going for it! Lapis is almost pointless but at least you need to use it for enchanting! Every ore type has at least some purpose that isn’t just “existing” every ore except copper that is.
Im almost certain they only added it for modpacks, because before now every mod in a pack would have to make their own copper, leading to packs like tekkit and ftb having 6 different copper ores that arent compatible with each other
@@5001Fergies why would they suddenly care about mods? mojang has never been anti mod but they haven’t exactly embraced mods either. We still don’t have a moding API even though they said like a couple years ago that they would add one. And then they claimed that APIs like forge and fabric were good enough so they didn’t need to add a official one! Plus copper is also in bedrock and mods don’t work on bedrock! And we all know that mojang doesn’t really care about Java and only keeps it around because if they shut Java down they would never live it down and the backlash would be greater than chat reporting and 1.9 combat combined!
@@The_hot_blue_fire_guy minecraft is one of the most mod-friendly games out there, besides skyrim ive never found an easier game to mod, it makes sense, but they probably also have future plans for the resource aka ideas to steal so im sure itll eventually be useful in both games
Thanks to you not only mentioning the Blockheads, but also focused on how it handled copper muck better than the game it took direct inspiration from, you had dug up some deeply buried memories of mine.
I recall Mojang saying that they didnt want copper to disturb the balance of progression by making copper useful. Of course this relates to copper armor and tools, but I think that this is just a coverup of the -fact- theory that Mojang, just doesn't want to. Which "don't want to" makes a lot more sense in relation to other features.
I could understand not wanting to disturb progression yeah, but that would open opportunities for it to be used similar to quartz and redstone, where they're useful in a niche way, rather than useless entirely like it is now
@@XayXayYT i'd say the problem there would be maintaining the lore and feel of the game. considering the thematic time period of minecraft and the potential lore that might be limiting it, its a little bit easier to understand why its hard to think of simple features to add that both include copper and add something special to the gameplay.
@@mosshivenetwork117 thats why there are mods and why modding is supported and encouraged to a certain extent. remember, that minecraft is the single best selling game ever. imagine being at a meeting and suggesting the idea of changing the progression. How prepaired would you have to be. You can probably imagine the amout of work and reaserch you would have to do to justify something. If the reasons and research just doesn't convince enough people then the idea isn't bad, its just not good enough. Its not good enough to justify altering the core gameplay experience of the game whos gameplay will be remembered by the next generation. Its just hard to justify things when you really think about being in a meeting with gameplay designers, artists, managers, developers, animators, storyboardists, and writers and give your presentation expecting the majority of them to be convinced. thats honestly why the stuff in the recent updates really just adds new niche features or makes the game more interconnected. improving existing features like the nether rather than adding new dimensions. it all comes down to keeping minecraft ... well minecraft and making it better. does adding new stuff for the sake of satisfying players who could use mods make sense. as a side note, we dont know whats in jeb's minecraft dev guide book. we also dont know the lore for certain. any new additions must keep continuity with extablished lore or you probably have to talk to higher management and a few writers. Those 2 base requirements really limit legitimate suggestions in ways that cannot be foreseen.
I actually have quite a few ideas that could make it way more useful: - Pipes to transport items more efficiently than hoppers (like in quark oddities) - Wires that act as redstone dust that can go vertically or underwater. They have no length limit. Alternatively, lightning rods could be used for this - Rails that make minecarts go faster and make them preserve velocity, even after leaving the track. This would allow for jumping across ravines using a ramp, for example. We also need a way to make copper oxidize faster for building purposes. It's painfully slow right now and even though I personally use a data pack that adds recipes for oxidized copper, it would be nice for all players to have access to a really good looking block. They could either make it simply oxidize faster or give thick/mundane potions a use by making it so that throwing a splash potion of that type on it makes it immediately oxidize. It would save builders a lot of time
I love the Block Heads, it gets a bad rap because of how it looks, but it is a very good game and holds it own very well, it has such a veried crafting system that is very unique and the world has so much interesting stuff, plus the journey around the world that all Block Heads players must complete is just the best.
@@XayXayYT as someone who has played the game for years, you'd eventually get used to the wait also most things take no more then 5-10 minutes, unless you need a lot of said thing.
I think some sort of bulk-use recipes in particular would be best for a resource as abundant as copper. I've thought for a while that having a proper pipe block would lower the iron costs (and hopefully lag) from long hopper chains that ultimately don't make a ton of sense conceptually (why would you need a ton of funnels when there's only like 1 input area for items?). Additionally, I think having at least one but preferably several copper based redstone components would give it a happy home with one of the largest communities this game has. It's important for people to think about new resources not in the simplest of RPG-progression terms, but utilizing the broad creative space that minecraft has to offer that makes redstone more powerful than netherite and iron stronger than diamonds: what you can do with the things made from redstone and iron are far more deadly and earthshaping than having a little extra armor or DPS.
this is the problem, new features ARENT added with a reason in mind. theyre not added because theyre cool, or useful, or beneficial to the game. theyre just added because its something that mojang thought of that _probably_ wouldnt immediately destroy the game. literally copper's only obviously planned feature was building block. thats NOT enough to add a METAL MATERIAL to the game.
That isn't true at all. The main reason why copper was added to the game was so it could be a building material similarly to nether quartz, alongside its aging mechanic that they were primarily talking about when showcasing it. Coppers' problem is that it's the main use case for it doesn't appeal to many play styles currently, so if you're not much of a builder, you currently only have 3 other uses, with one of those uses also being building related.
I always loved playing The Blockheads before it finally collapsed, it felt like simulating some parts of real life interaction in just a pixelated 2D Minecraft "rip-off" game
Blockheads was one of my favorite games, being a kid who was a massive minecraft lover like most people but had no computer or money to buy pocket edition, I played blockheads instead, I remember always saying "Hi, lets be friends" whenever I join a server, and spending a lot of time chatting
0:19 Impending doom approaches... This is going to be a terrible night... The air is getting colder around you... You feel vibrations from deep below... You feel an evil presence watching you...
I think the devs are scared to give copper a use in minecraft, as it currently mines into a lot of ores without any enchants, and especially with forture, so if its given a cheap use, youll end up having a lot left over
2d version of minecraft this game and being which also fixed copper. Seems like 2d minecrafts are the things that make copper good. Even tho terraria isnt really 2d mc. Or basically any other game in existence with copper in it.
When I realize you were talking about Blockheads, I started screaming with joy and then started coughing cause I was screaming with joy. It’s been so long since I heard anyone talking about this game. I started playing the game back in 2013 cause I couldn’t get Minecraft and I only really just had an iPad.
Ever since copper was first announced I though the uses would be obvious. 1. Allow coppers for beacon pyramids (makes beacons more accessible for players without taking away the rewarding feeling of making one) 2. Copper plated redstone: Can be embedded in blocks, doesn't lose signal strength, can go vertically. + some copper/iron junction components for tighter redstone. It upgrades redstone without affecting old redstone mechanics or making them completely obsolete.
If redstone ever had an upgraded version it would need to be later game. If you can obtain the material used to upgrade redstone BEFORE you can find any redstone then there’s a problem
@@basic6735 I disagree. Redstone is not in anyway integral to the progression system. It's not like getting diamonds before iron. Redstone is a side system that exists mainly for convenience. If they wanted, they could make a later game crafting station that's used for making copper-plated redstone, but that's completely arbitrary and unnecessary. The reason copper-plated redstone would be balanced is because it's more expensive but works better, not because it's hard to obtain.
@@LuketheDuke424 what you’re asking for is to literally replace redstone with a different system, no one would need old redstone when they already have the materials to craft A significantly better version of it. That isn’t balanced. But that late game crafting station idea could work with the introduction of the combat trials, perhaps as a reward your given the station to be able to craft this copper-redstone system, it would fit well too
@@basic6735 Regular redstone wouldn't be replaced lol, it would still be used in recipes and basic circuitry. Compact/simple designs would stay the same because why spend the copper when you don't need to.
They should add tin so that we can make bronze , which will be much easier to make than iron , also if we put coal in a crafting table , we get coke and when added to iron makes its even stronger Edit: here are some other metal ideas Brass: 3 copper ingots and 1 zinc ingot make brass, which will get slightly more difficult to make than iron ,due to the difficult task of extracting zinc being smelting it 2 times in a furnace otherwise their nearly identical. Aluminium: The new bauxite rock when mined drops alumina which should be smelted twice to get aluminium ingot , basically like iron but lighter thus making you fast , you can replace iron with aluminium in every crafting recipe iron has. Titanium: Basically a rarer stronger version of iron where titanium tools are on par with diamond ones
@@XayXayYT I agree . Copper irl is a valuable resource that conducts electricity very well, thus contributing to the modern world, being just as important as iron In minecraft, its basically nothing like ATLEAST make it so that when lightning strikes, you get enough electricity to power you redstone ( seriously electricity should at least play a role in redstone) and yeah aluminium should wait
Bit too complicated. This is a game for kids too. Making bronze alone would be a stretch. These would just fill your inventory while mining and be almost as useless as copper is now. I think Copper + Tin = Bronze is really stretching it as-is.
I love the random sound effects from different video games that you include in your videos, I even heard the Diablo 2 gold dropping sound effect in there lmao
I'm glad you do! I've always felt that hearing the same sfx would get tiring, so I try to mix it up with different games sfx so it wouldn't just be minecraft sounds throughout the video
One thing you forgot to mention about minecraft copper is that in 1.20, copper gets a fee more uses, you can use it to trim armor, ahould anyone want to use it, and it's essential for archeology, due to you needing it in the recipe for the brush, in order to excavate items out of suspicious gravel and sand from desert temples, desert wells, ocean ruins, and ruined trails. Other than that, blockheads still has the high ground when it comes to minecraft in the copper game, cause with the 1.20 features, minecraft has 5 uses for copper, while blockheads has 100+ uses for it, lol.
I'm glad that they're adding new features for Copper in 1.20, although I feel like it still pales in comparison to other resources, especially as an early game resource
@@Nitrox_909 yeah, fair enough, I'm not even planning on using copper for my armor, lol. And yeah Archeology is more for of you want decoration i believe, however it's still hand holdy given that you can get diamonds at some structures.
Been literal years since I’ve seen a video on blockheads! This was part of my childhood, even before PE lite ;p. And yeah blockheads is kinda timeless lol just really not as popular as Minecraft! Thanks for the video!
Yeah, that pretty much entirely sums up my opinions on copper, I don't mind it as a building block, but it is in desperate need for more uses. At the current rate it is going to be 1.30 before I will recognize it as half useful as iron
It would be cool to have another system that isn't redstone. Like 2 different systems that don't really connect exactly. Maybe Amethyst can copper can have some weird connect of Electrical and Magical stuff.
5:32, Btw I think copper is only useful in the extreme late game. When you have the best armour, the best weapon, the best enchants, farms of everything, and had every achievement. You know when you are done with everything that you just start building stuff, Also in my mind I see copper as an overworld quartz. Because it’s strictly a decoration block and nothing much else There is a few recipe like the lighting rod or the spy glass. The same applies to quartz: sun light detectors and observers, etc. You get my point,
The Blockheads has more stuff Minecfaft does not. Blockheads world is a loop, and some cool pole items, and a rare new animal that works out pretty well!! There's also sharks, and all metals get some good use.

Ideas for more copper functionality: Make zombies unable to break down copper doors but still behaving as a non-iron door this would make copper doors incredibly useful for villages as they would make the doors zombie-proof while still allowing the villagers to enter and exit their houses at will. Maybe change the recipe to 6 ingots and make the 6 blocks recipe into an identical looking door that requires redstone, called the heavy copper door. Another idea is to change the powered rail recipe to use copper, and then keep the gold recipe for new "super powered rails" that would go much faster than the current rails, as currently minecarts are still a rather slow method of transportation compared to what has been added since.
The Create mod does a great job of giving copper a use as the “fluid” resource, used for diving gear, tanks, pipes, etc. I do think new copper recipes need to have electric properties tho, it’s easy and untapped potential
Some ways to improve copper: 1) Mixing gold and copper would make a gold alloy which is stronger than regular gold (and iron) but weaker than diamond. And these can be used to craft golden tools and armor instead of the regular useless golden tools. 2) As others said, integrating it with redstone could also fix the issue. And maybe copper for vertical signals would be nice too.
Holy duck this channel is growing fast, been here since 25k subs or something, and it’s almost doubled within a few months (I may be wrong), 100% deserved, the content is always super entertaining
If only there were trees that provided resin, which you could then heat to create rubber, and then using that rubber you could could create copper cables to provide an electrical current, which could be used to add electricity into a portable storage container like a battery or something, and then that battery could be used to provide power to machines that could do new things with existing resources... Not like that anything like that ever came out a decade ago or anything though, haha...
Blockheads does resources as a whole better than minecraft, take titanium, the blockheads alternative to diamond and netherite; NOT ONLY is it used for the highest tier weapons and armor in the game, it is essential in the final stages of technology and in jetpack creation, linking it more to gear and aesthetics unlike diamond/netherite, iron is the only minecraft resource that can hold a candle to ANY resource in blockheads
Great video! I have been working on a mod so I might as well upgrade copper! Note: Terraria came out before Minecraft and Terraria is its own game, not a 2d version of minecraft. I am not being rude or anything. I just wanted to let you know. Have a good day and I love the content! I will sub on all my accounts.
I found this channel and subscribed after watching only two videos. The editing, humor, topics and more are top tier. I want to stick around to view even more content from it :)
I always have a list I put under videos like this with my ideas, here it is: 1. Give copper the same variants you can get from iron and gold. Weight pressure plates, bars, cauldrons, etc. 2. Integrate it with redstone. People talk about it's conductive ability, but we already have that, maybe pipes so you don't need to use so many hoppers in transport? 3. Tools for the sake of machinimas and role-playing. They could be on the level of stone, just retextured. 4. This one may go too far: fooling piglins. Wearing copper armor would reduce the range at which they attack you, and dropping a bar would distract them from chasing you (but they wouldn't give items for copper)
I wish we could have some balancing features in the copper tools if they ever get added to Minecraft. For example: while also being an in-between from stone to iron, a copper pickaxe could also mine the ores that a stone pickaxe can't, such as redstone, gold, emerald, etc, but NOT diamond. You'd still need the iron pickaxe to get diamonds.
Well actually adding middle tiers is always pointless. And frankly most of these what this "Minecraf ripoff" does wouldn't really work for minecraft, and won't impact it. Fortunately the new update adds few great blocks to copper. They could add also wall variants, but at leas now we can really say we have actual copper block family. And most importand is the copper bulb... though it is still kinda bad, that to make T-flip-flop it needs another block, so chance to having full minimalization wasted. And that's one of the main uses copper should have: it should be used to improve redstone by enabling many things to make redstone contraption more compact. Like filtering variant of hopper (which would have special slot to indicate the item that is the only one that goes through it... and maybe powering it would inverse it to pull all but this item). Or cables (with combining copper nuggets with redstone) which let to have redston on walls and ceilings. Or just have it parallel to regular redstone without connecting. Or logical gates (AND, OR, NOT and others - all being one block element like repeater or comparator). Other thing is rose gold. As much as adding middle tiers is stupid and pointless, making useless things usefull isn't. And that would rose gold be. As it would be upgrading gold tools and armor with copper. This would make them about as durable as iron while keeping high enchantability and speed (50% better than diamond and 33% than netherite), maybe even adding one additional point to it. And of course making it abble to mine all what could be with iron. (Armor could be as current iron armor, while iron would get +0,5 hardness per element). The same upgrading could also be done to powered rail (though powered raid also should be buffed themselves to at least make possible to get slightly faster with them than with boat on blue ice) Copper nuggets could also be used to make copper sulfate to get green flame(green lanterns, torches and campfires). Also copper goat horns should return, and (kinda) the same goes to copper buttons and golems.
Copper Pipes! Add new types of pipes that essentially work as cheaper hoppers. Less storage space within the pipe, but there could be different pipes with different uses. Different pipes that can transport items, filter them, and send them upward with very minimal redstone efforts. Allowing early game and less experienced players to access the joys of item organization. Of course hoppers will still be useful in taking the items out of storage and placing them back into storage, pipes would just work essentially as a bridge between hoppers.
One of the youtube channels from the german science bubble has literally made the "Cu" joke a thing long ago. They say "Copper" instead of "goodbye" there casually. I like how you brought this same joke in as well, even though this is less of a scienc-y channel. It's really crazy how you can make jokes from all kinds of topics/areas. That's a real talent imo! Anyway, from my understanding they added copper because of how many mods need copper for e.g. electricity and how each of these mods needs to add copper as a resource first and modpacks having multiple mods who add copper and caves become COPPER-CEPTION!. Meanwhile us vanilla players... ahem :D I do agree bay-zed on your previous work that recipes/uses are key to making Copper something people want to farm. Right now, I use it only as mending-repair before I have an XP farm (late mid/early late game). Lightning Rod could be used for charged Creepers or Witch farms, however I haven't done that ever, not worth. IDK how 1.20 changes will affect copper as a resource. Easy solution (possibly unpopular): change existing recipes. Imagine a copper hopper. Not only does it sound way better but considering the cost of iron hoppers, it would be a great use for all the spare copper we have, while nerfing Iron a bit. How about copper rails instead of golden rails? This would make Minecarts stronger, we need gold for Bartering and for Golden Apples (mid game), Instant Health Potions (late game) and Golden Carrots (late game). It could buff gold slightly to get closer to its' competitors. It already got a long way from what it used to be, but there's more we could do. Harder solutions: bronze material. Bronze pickaxe could be a requirement to mine iron, adding another "phase" to the game. You'd first need to find TWO ores, then craft it before you can even attain Iron. This would require them to add ANOTHER ore though, which I doubt they would do since cave update(s) are done already. I dislike the idea of making copper coins for trading. Trading is already pretty broken, I doubt adding/changing it to copper would be an improvement. Akshually, Trading would probably be an interesting video idea (🤓👆) Don't know what they're doing in the future, but surely they have more plans for Copper, right? Right!? Great video as always, keep up the good work! And sorry for oversharing, ADHD Andrea here. But since you've read this far you probably don't care.
Glad you enjoyed the video and I always welcome my community to share their thoughts, so don't worry, I've read it all the way :p I do want to point out that the hopper idea could be a bit dangerous, since hoppers are one of Iron's major uses, especially for Minecraft resource farms, and taking it away would not just heavily nerf iron, but also iron farms, and make automatic farms in general harder to make. Which are definitely things to consider before making the change.
I just want them to let us make copper wires using copper + redstone. Wires could be so cool for decor and they could use it as a way to let you place working redstone underwater.
Copper is useless, unless you're a builder Even if copper has use in building, builder mostly will choose other blocks and it all depends on the build theme

Just make copper wiring a new version of redstone dust, the 2 could run alongside eachother, like slime and honey blocks, without activating eachother. Just like that, copper could have a Decent use.
Copper can be a good building materials when you know how to use it, weirdly enough the mid weather stages are the best. Poles are nice with the lightning rod. The spyglass... is a thing. It has potential with building, possibly similar blocks to iron like doors and bars, I guess keeping in mind the more flexible nature of the material. It certainly needs uses in redstone, possibly even mechanics which can be used before finding redstone.
And then some (Aura Acorn & Dumpster Fire Dev) added a datapack to give uses to the Lightning Rod...Letting it become copper wire with ACTUAL uses, like a FRICKING quarry (Copper Contraptions & Copper Wiring)
I actually played Blockheads myself, just because i felt like it, however i never came too far into the Game, mostly because of the time it takes to craft something. But i agree: Copper needs more uses in Minecraft. An idea of mine is that Copper comes before Iron, that you need Copper (Or Bronze though it may complicate things and need Tin Ore to work) to mine Iron, or at the very least: Add some Copper Variants for Iron Recipes and/or Add new Copper Exclusive Items/Blocks.

@@jankauza8694 if you use both downwards only and upwards only methods in your build, then there is no problem
Copper was only added for the building block, other uses came up just so it wouldn't look SO BAD
And that is the main problem. I don’t mind new building blocks but if you are going to add an entire new ore to the game then maybe you should make it at least somewhat useful outside of building!?
Not everyone plays Minecraft to build structures. Many people play it to explore the world for adventure or they play because they like to solve problems and come up with solutions for those problems, (like making redstone contraptions that can automate or simplify aspects of the game)
As it is right now copper is pretty much useless to anyone not interested in building and designing.

But the progression should be disturbed. It's been the same repetitive ores or the same decade. Mods make progression way more interesting.
@@arysword you just wrote an entire freaking essay.
Copper has so much room for improvement, it's not surprising that Blockcraft could do better, even before it was added to Minecraft.
I actually have quite a few ideas that could make it way more useful:
- Pipes to transport items more efficiently than hoppers (like in quark oddities)
- Wires that act as redstone dust that can go vertically or underwater. They have no length limit. Alternatively, lightning rods could be used for this
- Rails that make minecarts go faster and make them preserve velocity, even after leaving the track.

Not even any copper nugget. ...

Ever since copper was first announced I though the uses would be obvious.
1. Allow coppers for beacon pyramids (makes beacons more accessible for players without taking away the rewarding feeling of making one)
They should add tin so that we can make bronze , which will be much easier to make than iron , also if we put coal in a crafting table , we get coke and when added to iron makes its even stronger
Edit: here are some other metal ideas
Brass: 3 copper ingots and 1 zinc ingot make brass, which will get slightly more difficult to make than iron ,due to the difficult task of extracting zinc being smelting it 2 times in a furnace otherwise their nearly identical.
I think aluminium would have to wait, they should focus on copper first
if you want these play modded lmao
@@XayXayYT I agree . Copper irl is a valuable resource that conducts electricity very well, thus contributing to the modern world, being just as important as iron
In minecraft, its basically nothing like ATLEAST make it so that when lightning strikes, you get enough electricity to power you redstone ( seriously electricity should at least play a role in redstone) and yeah aluminium should wait

Ideas for more copper functionality:
Make zombies unable to break down copper doors but still behaving as a non-iron door this would make copper doors incredibly useful for villages as they would make the doors zombie-proof while still allowing the villagers to enter and exit their houses at will.
Some ways to improve copper:
1) Mixing gold and copper would make a gold alloy which is stronger than regular gold (and iron) but weaker than diamond. And these can be used to craft golden tools and armor instead of the regular useless golden tools.
2) As others said, integrating it with redstone could also fix the issue. And maybe copper for vertical signals would be nice too.
Copper can be used for in the upcoming armor trims, and probably some other thing, but alas still can be counted in one hand

I always have a list I put under videos like this with my ideas, here it is:
We could have the copper golem in the mob vote but instead we got a blue bug 😔
The same upgrading could also be done to powered rail (though powered raid also should be buffed themselves to at least make possible to get slightly faster with them than with boat on blue ice)
Copper nuggets could also be used to make copper sulfate to get green flame(green lanterns, torches and campfires).
Also copper goat horns should return, and (kinda) the same goes to copper buttons and golems.
I got the "this is embarrassing why did I show that to the entire internet" ad when he made the ending joke XD
Unless you are goodtimeswithscar you don't need excessive amounts of copper.
I've been trying to integrate copper into my block pallet, because there is no other use for it. However, it just doesn't work with my build style.
I think you forgot about the fourth copper recipe: the brush, aka string pickaxe.
I didn't want to speak too soon until I've tried them out myself
BLOCKHEADS MENTIONED 🗣🗣🔥🔥🔥

I like how you brought this same joke in as well, even though this is less of a scienc-y channel. It's really crazy how you can make jokes from all kinds of topics/areas. That's a real talent imo!
Anyway, from my understanding they added copper because of how many mods need copper for e.g. electricity and how each of these mods needs to add copper as a resource first and modpacks having multiple mods who add copper and caves become COPPER-CEPTION!. Meanwhile us vanilla players... ahem :D
I do agree bay-zed on your previous work that recipes/uses are key to making Copper something people want to farm.
Akshually, Trading would probably be an interesting video idea (🤓👆)
Don't know what they're doing in the future, but surely they have more plans for Copper, right? Right!?

I do want to point out that the hopper idea could be a bit dangerous, since hoppers are one of Iron's major uses, especially for Minecraft resource farms, and taking it away would not just heavily nerf iron, but also iron farms, and make automatic farms in general harder to make. Which are definitely things to consider before making the change.

Just make copper wiring a new version of redstone dust, the 2 could run alongside eachother, like slime and honey blocks, without activating eachother. Just like that, copper could have a Decent use.
what the hell man, i love blockheads..
I'm glad allays were added but I wish the copper golem got a second chance. Maybe that could've added a lot more uses to copper
And then some (Aura Acorn & Dumpster Fire Dev) added a datapack to give uses to the Lightning Rod...Letting it become copper wire with ACTUAL uses, like a FRICKING quarry (Copper Contraptions & Copper Wiring)
Amazing video! Really funny and entertaining, make more videos like this please!
I'm glad that it was! And I plan to keep it around this quality going forward!
@@XayXayYT Great!
I use Raw Copper as a currency in my SMP because it’s non-renewable and easy to find
Man I used to play the hell out of The Blockheads. My family had our own servers and everything for them. Good memory.
