@@Kumyar the fact that it has half the amount of cylinders has a very small correlation to having a similar engine sound, there are so many other factors that make engines have distinct sounds.
These FWD Volvos don’t really like doing digs with any sort of brake boosting. They mostly have their nuts with roll racing, but they are super fun either way!😎
Sounds good, but there's not enough counter pressure after the turbocharger, you risk to blow up a piston or to burn the head unless you solve that problem.
Surprisingly it’s an auto so don’t know what causes it as much. It’s tuned to Stage 2+ and has an add on tune called fuel overrun which could be the culprit.
@@WhipGetters yeah I knew it was an auto, but I was surprised that your (geartronic?) makes a kind of DSG fart. I drive a volvo v70 D3. But I was also looking voor an s60 2.5T or a 2.3T5. What do you recommand :) I dont know as much as you about the technical differences
@@lamadan70 Honestly I would get either one. They both have amazing potential. But if you want that extra oof, get the 2.3T (T5) it has iron cylinder lining in the motor stock. It can handle upwards of 430whp
No issues with back pressure, boost lag is a little noticeable especially on a dig take off. These cars really perform on rolling launches because the boost is basically there and climbs at 40mph!👍
@@WhipGetters I'm going to get get catless 3" downpipe for my 2.3 t5 installed soon, do you think its safer to drive for few months until i can get a tune? 🤔I've read some people saying it will spin turbo too fast or over boost but those seem to be mostly subarus.
You’ll be fine doing the 3” downpipe. If anything we’ve not heard of that happening with Volvos or even the Mitsubishi turbos. If anything most people get a tune for the check engine light if you don’t do a bung correctly!
@@WhipGetters Yeah i was thinking about mostly disabling the CEL with a tune. One mech said it would destroy the engine if i ran the car without cat since the o2 sensor readings but dunno if he was trying to scare me not going catless 🤔
Before we got the tune, we had a O2 sensor spacer welded to the area where the cat was. Basically a bung or Fowler extension to mimic the cat being there. We have pictures if you would like them. Just message us through our email!👍
@@WhipGettersThat's excellent but wasn't your air fuel ratio ruined because you don't have functioning oxygen sensors? I currently have a high flow cat in and I get oxygen sensors activity not detected from them. I had an O2 spacer in but after removing it this code disappeared and will occasionally come back. I'm wondering whether my oxygen sensors might ACTUALLY be broken. Do you have any tips here??
No, sadly it doesn’t. Normally launching these cars isn’t really a good thing. Hard launches can cause issues. What you would do is brake boost. Where you hold the brake pedal to the floor and the gas at the same time. When you’re ready to launch, you let go of the brake pedal! But in one of our recent videos, our entire radiator blows up from the hard launch. Just be careful if you want to do it.🤔
The car had more mods done to it. We put what mods it has in the comment section. Since this video, the car has had so many more mods done to it. An exhaust video will be releasing soon with stage 3 and big turbo!🔥

If you’re asking how you do it, there’s a STC butting in front of your gear selector or at the bottom of your radio, hold it for 5 seconds until the light turns off. You have partially disabled traction control. You can’t entirely do it, Volvos have a strange trac system. But it’ll do what you want it to do!
The drone is present yes. Is it bad? Not really! The only time its bad is on the highway 3rd and 4th gear. It’s not like a v8 straight pipe or a N/A car. It’s surprisingly not terrible!

5 cylinder sounds so much better than a 4 banger
There is something really special about how these sound
No questions!😎
Volvo S60 2.4T
5 Cylinder
Hilton Tune Stage 2+
3” Full Catless Straight Pipe
440cc Bigger Injectors
Upgraded Fuel Pump
CCI
Entirely New Intake/ Charge Pipe System
Where did you get the fuel pump and injectors?
@@dirtyracoon56 Injectors are from the Volvo S60R. They are “BOSCH Green Injectors.” The fuel pumps are modified high pressure fuel pumps.
Is this the stock (14T I think?) turbo?
Ok, so what's next? An anti-lag flame throwing system? Cuz I'd looooooove to see that!
One of those options you said… it may be true soon!

bigger Fmic brand intercooler
Also getting 3.5 inch exhaust with screamer.
Added bonus Water methanol injection system
