This was a wonderful tour of Vista. I’m 83 years old. Back in 1956-57 I spent the Christmas holidays with my fiancé and his family there. They had a house in the hills. The difference between the way it looked then and the way it looks now is unbelievable. Houses were sparse then around the little town of Vista. Their house was a small split level with a sunken patio. I didn’t appreciate it then, but now I know they lived in paradise. I do remember downtown; we had lunch there one day. But mostly, I remember the openness and beauty of the foothills. I’ve often wondered what happened to that little house where I spent a joyous Christmas. Unfortunately, my guy and I did not marry so I lost touch with that period of my life. Thank you very much for the memories here. Every time I do make a connection with that time my heart gets excited and I feel a lump in my stomach. It is like actually returning to that place. ❤️
My husband and I moved from the Bay Area to Vista last year and it’s the best decision we’ve ever made! It’s such a charming town full of so much beautiful scenery. The weather is spot on, there’s great food options, and we’re 20 minutes to the beach. We love Vista!!
So you have to walk on everyone's front yard to get good exercise going up and down the streets on hills. They'll get over it. 😂. We need our exercise! You get that nice breeze from the ocean in beautiful Oceanside.
Some of the bad areas are like W Los Angeles off Melrose and watch out for any writing that says “VHB” because that is a gang called the vista homeboys
Because of my husband’s job I had to move from Vista to New Jersey, and I DREAM about moving back! Best city in the world, grew up in the hills, no place I’d rather be ❤️
😂 Dude dosent know how long pepper tree has been there for. Your from vista? Never trust a vista man who dosent know that pepper tree started in 1953. Next hes gonna tell us that filibertos has the best Mexican food.😂
Fun Fact : One settler in the Vista area, John Frazier, applied to open the first post office and after several attempts to name the city (“Frazier's Crossing” and “Buena Vista” were already taken), Frazier finally chose the name “Vista”. With the opening of the first post office in 1882, Vista had officially arrived.

I knew you were headed to Peppertree! My original ice cream 🍦 shoppe (my parents as well).
The best! Went there a bunch growing up!
OMG its like main street Encinitas before it became so bougie! I need to move to Vista :)

Grew up in Vista. I still love it. It has it all. Plan to retire there.

Hello, been thinking of moving to Vista. What are the bad areas of Vista I shouldn't live/ go to?
Down town vista has a lot of thugs
Some of the bad areas are like W Los Angeles off Melrose and watch out for any writing that says “VHB” because that is a gang called the vista homeboys

Beautiful place! 👍
No wonder you liked it. Try living off of Sta. Fe south or by Olive, the famous transit center.
How far to the Beach ⛱️? What beach options available ? Any River watering holes nearby ?? Thanks 👍
It's right next to oceanside and Carlsbad which have beaches
great video, nice to be able to see the areas, what is the median price in vista?
It's like a little more perky version of East LA.
How many earthquakes a year?
There's a bunch but mostly smaller on the scale. Not sure of the exact amount butI probably actually feel about 2-3/year.
My only problem is the insane amount of new apartment buildings and traffic. I love Vista, but do we really need that many new apts ?! Insane.
They pop out of nowhere
A lot for sure.
Hello
Hey

it's called Vista and has literally no view on anything nice at all.

There's no Mediterranean weather here.
Oside is better. They have a breeze.
@@antonioramos8804 with all the high rises they have built at the beach how can you tell there's a breeze?
What an overbuilt mess.
