Your not the only one. I left since 2009 after 5th grade to San Jacinto. San Jacinto isn't that bad of a city to live in. I live in San Jacinto and, its not bad city to live at.
Grew up in Vista! And have since lived throughout SD. I can't believe how much Vista has changed. Santa Fe and the downtown area has been completely cleaned up!
All the good parties were back in the hills!

Does the weather vary based on where in Vista you are?
Maybe a touch. There are rolling hills throughout Vista, and some parts are a tad more coastal than others, but all-in-all about the same across the board.
Moving to the area by October of this year, for work. We have a 1 year old and 3 year old. Any particular area that is best for a young family? My work is in Carlsbad for reference.
