I have lived in California my whole life. I have never seen a chiffon pie offered at any restaurant or pie shop. The boysenberry was invented in California (it is a cross between the European blackberry, European raspberry, dewberry and loganberry). It stands to reason that it would be more of a state pie for California than chiffon. Still, I prefer chocolate cream pie, if it's done correctly and I've only found one place where it is.
As someone who lived in Washington for a long time, I’d argue blackberry pie is really the pie of the state. You can’t throw a rock near a tree line in Washington without hitting blackberry vines.
I’ve lived in Cincinnati, Columbus or Cleveland Ohio my entire life and have never seen or heard of a Buckeye pie. Sounds like they just googled ohio and pie scrolled down to the 3rd page and said ok that sounds right
Living in AZ, I've never heard of anyone doing a cactus pie. I guess it could be good but I've never even heard of anyone doing that, but when I lived in Idaho, I can say without a doubt, huckleberry pie was the top pie there... huckleberry is the best
Chiffon pie, California? Lived here my whole life and never had one grandmother or aunt bring a Chiffon pie to a holiday dinner. Seems like Boysenberry would be a better selection for California.
I’m a New Yorker. Never heard of a friggin grape pie! We claim rights to first pizza’s made in USA. Made for laborers lunch. No cheese, dough & sauce. Kept warm till eaten. Made by immigrants from, Naples or Calabria.

I love how they keep saying for each nut and seed pie just think pecan pie and boom there you go. And that's not helping me since I'm allergic to nuts 😂🤣
What... no mincemeat pie? Raisins, walnuts, diced apple, cherries, molasses, cinnamon... Considering where raisins mostly come from, this should be a California vegan's treat. No meat. And non-vegans choice too!!!
What's your favorite kind of pie?
My favorite pie is the one that I'm eating.
Chocolate cream pie and lemon pies are my favorite.
I love two kinds of pie!!! Hot and Cold!!
I totally agree!!! Hot or cold, I love pie!!!
😁I love hearing her try to pronounce “Naa chi tow chess” It’s adorable 🥰
As a New Yorker, our favorite is definitely not Grape Pie. We only love our cheesecakes.
Right? Nooo idea where grape pie came from. Cheesecake all the way.
Our wedding “cake” was cheesecake. Why is this not EVERY state’s favorite? 🤷♀️
Cheesecake is the most meh dessert 🥱😂
@@oshikiri999 You poor soul. You obviously haven’t had the RIGHT cheesecake 😢.
@@stephaniemcpherson2558 you might be right 🤔

Just because you've lived there doesn't mean you're apart of the culture. Maybe you just need to get out more.
As Someone From West Virginia I Can Say Apple Pie is Beloved by Anyone Here ❤.
Who eats grape pies? I never heard of it

My sister adds some apricots to her peach pie. Its my favorite.
Derby Pie is insanely good 🤤
I'm not convinced there are Wet bottom and Dry bottom shoo fly pies. There's just overcooked or undercooked. The 3rd pie displayed looks perfect.
When the moon hits the sky like big piece of pie....
All the people saying "I'm from this state, never heard of that pie"
I doubt you're actively apart of the culture where you're from.
Why did I watch this video while hungry?
Was born and grew up in North Dakota never heard if a sunflower seed pie
