After crashing Mona's wake Janet, going by Jane, leads Kendall out. Janet tries to calm her down, while a suspicious Laurel watches. Kendall asks Janet to say goodbye to Mona for her, which she does. Sarah Michelle Gellar, Robin Mattson, Felicity LaFortune, James Kiberd.
My two favorite characters from AMC back when I watched. Loved that they came together. Sarah Michelle Gellar and Robin Mattson were wonderful.

I was wracking my brain rewatching this 26 years later as to why Janet was allowed in and not Kendall. Then Laurel gave me the answer. she wasn't Janet she was "Jane"
Yes, you are right. I actually felt sorry for Janet when everyone in the town became a vigilante mob against her. I actually wouldn't mind re-watching the entire Robin Mattson run to see her ups and downs as Janet. Well, minus the era of her trying to go after Brooke... that was a misstep.

I have my own theory as to why Janet went crazy again. When she first had her surgery, it was experimental. In NY mind, after Janet and her family left PV in '00, sometime between then and when Kate Collins returned to the role, her face reverted back to its original form and she saw the I'll Janet again and lost it. This is all JMHO......
T James I think it was the number Sophie played on her and causing Janet to kill her in self defense. Her mentality started to crumble
greenlee7smythe-I was wondering if that was the reason, too, but it's really hard for me to accept. Janet survived being struck by lightning, being kidnapped/drugged by Dr. Kinder, being locked in a meat locker by Trevor, having her face completely laser-ed off, maximum security prison, and the stigma of being "Janet from Another Planet", but she's going to lose her marbles over some witch she killed in self-defense?
T James- If that's the case, then Julia's facial scar should have come back- the same doctor laser-ed her, too, I think. :)
BLTKellys - yeah, but it was an empty threat and Kendall knew it.
Didn't Laurel come to town as a con artist who ended up causing Natalie's death?
happybkwrm- yes, she was an embezzler who had used multiple aliases. I think it was to pay for Lily's special needs treatment.
And Laurel was actually at Natalie’s funeral!!!!!

Kendall and Janet were treated like pariahs by the rest of Pine Valley. Because of that it wss hard for me to root for any of the other characters on this show.
well put!! I felt bad for Janet & Kendall too more than anyone else on this show! I liked Janet & Kendall best on the show, everyone else, nope because I never felt they were real, deep enough for me to relate to. Being a writer, being a survivor of such deep rejection myself, I so get Janet & Kendall!

i loved kendals and janet's relationship and loved Robin Mattson as Janet ,but i wish they would have brought back Kate Collins as natalie instead of janet years later
Yeah, they absolutely ruined Janet after Robin left. Making her crazy again and acting like her friendship with Kendall never existed completely burned me up.
I couldnt stand Laurel Banning.

@spinnernet1 Ummmm I'm not so sure about that. Look what she did to Dixie. She tried to make her think her brother was haunting her.
Dixie went after Janet first by stirring up the town into a mob against Janet. It kept Janet from getting a job and a place to live (aside from the Pine Cone). I even remember one episode where Dixie went to Janet's hotel room to start an argument. Janet showed a lot of restraint through it all. It was only when Dixie's actions started to hurt Janet's custody case for Amanda that Janet took off the gloves.
+babelon1987 Dixie was always a hypocrite. She busted up two of Brooke's marriages, then played the victim when karma came in the form of Liza Colby. She got her wish when she told Will to drop dead, who was literally waiting to rape Hayley when Janet crowbarred him.
Yeah- that always annoyed me about Dixie. She was always ready to point out everyone else's flaws, but not her own.
I have a stupid question: was Kendall a good guy or a bad guy?
A little bit of both
Brie Larson, this is the type of acting I want to see when you’re trying to act your way out of a wet paper bag as if you’re life depended on it. This is one of the reasons why an Emmy Award winner is better than you when it comes to acting. Sarah Michelle Gellar is a better actress than you the same way Buffy Summers is a better superhero than Captain Marvel. Your performances in Short Term 12, Room, and The Glass Castle are pretty good, but can they transition over to acting in a soap opera?
What about Robin Mattson's acting?
