When Gloria started screaming at Stuart, he cowered away. Why did the writers make Stuart weak? It sickens me that Stuart is portrayed like that. Why does he have to be weak? WHY?!!!!!!!!!
He's not weak; he's empathetic. Empaths *feel* what others feel. Stuart not only felt the emotion Gloria was throwing at him, he also felt what she felt--heartbreak, anger, sadness, betrayal, confusion...that's a lot for Gloria to feel, and it's more confusing when like Stuart you feel every emotion of someone else washing over you and piling on top of all of your own emotions. In a way, empathy helps you help others, because you truly understand what they feel. But in other ways it is quite unhelpful because all that emotion is hard to sort through in the moment. If I enter a room where someone has a headache, my head begins to hurt; and though I want to help, feeling their headache makes it harder to do so. Dear Stuart is the most empathetic person in Pine Valley. This makes people love him all the more, but it can also be paralyzing sometimes. Yet that is not the same thing as being weak.
Stuart Chandler was the most kind and loyal person on AMC. He always forgave the people that hurt him the most and that includes Gloria and Adam. He could give lessons on kindness.
This is the soap I wish ABC Would have kept. I wish there would be a soap opera channel again. a list of soaps I'd run (All My Children, Ryan's Hope, Loving, One Live To Live, General Hospital (classic and new episodes) , Port Charles, Days Of Our LIves (classic and new episodes), Another World, Sunset Beach, Santa Barbara, Passions, Search For Tomorrow, Texas, Generations, Young and The Restless (classic and new episodes), Bold and The Beautiful (classic and new episodes), As The World Turns, Guiding Light, Capitol, Edge Of Night, Knots Landing, Dallas, Dynasty, Falcon Crest,
i'd forgotten all about gloria! i also forgot how wooden this actress who played her was, but it all comes rushing back now, including the unintentional laughs she provided. have you seen any episodes on here featuring erica's pill habit?
Do you have the full episode of when Trevor and Laurel got married? I love the post and sorry for requesting something else so soon...... but I'm an AMC addict...
Adam and Gloria were estranged and he was so determined to get her back that he basically kidnapped her and held her prisoner so that they could talk things out. Unfortunately, the stress sent her into premature labor.
I personally think she was good. She was a lot better than most others that didn’t last near as long as she did! She was on this show for almost a decade! 1991-1998 I think? She was very entertaining and loved her relationship with Hayley.
David Canary was AMAZING as Adam and Stuart Chandler! He made the characters so believable. RIP.
He was one of the best.
Powerful scene! Gloria (Teresa Blake) was amazing and truly should have earned an Emmy for this performance!
It's always the good ones we overlook
RIP David Canary and Christopher Lawford😥🙏
this scene breaks my heart 💔💔😢😢😢
Gloria went SNAP, CRACKLE, AND then SHE POPPED 😂
Adam starting to cry when Gloria completely broke down was wrenching.
Adam bought it on himself
Lol get em Gloria. I remember this story. Damn you Adam. She's not wrong though.
I really just wanted to scream at the TV, "It's NOT Hayley, you idiot!"
i remember reading and hearing about this storyline but this the first time i've seen this. wow!
I got to meet Teresa Blake's ex husband, he plays drums for the country group Shenandoah
I know, right? She was a fantastic actress.
Damn I remember this episode
