- Passionate ocean-lover Jérôme Delafosse has launched The Shark Project, a plea to reconcile humankind with the scary shark. Every hour 10,000 sharks are fished worldwide. Yet this mythical predator plays a key role in regulating marine life. Now more than ever sharks are threatened with extinction, especially in the waters of the developed world. So Jérôme is crossing the globe to spread the message and raise awareness - from France to the Bahamas, Indonesia, and Cocoa Island, then on to the UK and Belgium.

As an avid shark lover this is beautiful to see. Total respect to u man. Seeing so many sharks worldwide killed per year really upsets me. They're so misunderstood it's criminal. They're such smart, beautiful, intelligent creatures they deserve to be protected. Don't let films cloud your minds. Yes they are deadly yes they do kill but not in the way many films suggests. Rather then be in fear of them how about understand them & respect them. They've been around for hundreds millions of years the ocean is their territory so what gives us humans the right to hunt & kill them??? Without them the ocean would be screwed

My son went to Morocco in February and few nurse sharks came into the bay. The police were call and he filmed them spearing them to get ridofthem. Seriously need educating

I watched a video of a man getting his calf muscle bitten clean off by an oceanic white tip he was with a group of scuba divers. I don’t go out in the water at the beach no salt water period.
