This is the best clock ever! For years I’ve wondered with all this tech why it’s still so damn hard to set an alarm clock with all these button combinations and why do you have to get blasted with that typical alarm noise. Got this on sale for $40 and man. Some of the best money I spent in a long time. Only thing is I’m just worried about what will happen if I have a power outage and need to get to work since it doesn’t have a battery backup..
I now have google home nest mini and i use routines to wake me at a time of the day and lights go on etc. Can you change routines on the display so i can change the time when i need?? Thanks!
what's dumb is that they don't sell the dock separately. you either have to buy the clock and the dock together, or just the clock by itself. They're on sale right now for clock+dock for $24.99 at Best Buy, Grey and Blue versions available.
@@undeadpro8231 I don’t think so I haven’t seen it in the alarm menu but there might be some other way to get around to do it like the wakeup routine thing
I have one of the previous versions. It’s aggravating AF! I have it in my bedroom and 9 out of 10 times if I give a,command one of my google home minis would pick it up if the door is open.I can be about 6ft away and still a google home would pick it up I’m another room.
Greggles PLEASE stop saying Hey Google... Or edit it out so it says it on the screen not out loud... You keep activating my google devices.. if you watch any home automation or similar channel they make sure that word and or A word is muted.. thanks love your content.
Cool review, Greggles. I just picked up TWO of these, with two smart bulbs, for $29.99, from eBay. It looks like the bundles sold a few months ago, by Wal-Mart, that someone must've picked up in bulk, or perhaps via returns. Dunno. Either way they're a STEAL for what one is getting. I mean, $15 for ONE + a bulb? No brainer. Adding one to my wife's office and one to mine so we can chat with the delivery folks via our Nest Doorbell. I agree with you that it would be cool to have Eufy and other cam support, but hey, I can throw those up on my TV's if I really care.
Update: When I plugged them in they downloaded an update. They will now play my Eufy cameras, although doing so is a bit wonky. Once a camera "loads", a gray screen just sits there, with a 'Pause' button on it and REW/FWD buttons on it, indicating the camera will not auto-play. However, once I press 'Pause', and then 'Play', the camera is shown in Live mode. Every now and then (perhaps in 40 second intervals) it blinks a bit, showing the play controls again, but it works. I am pleased, as I did not expect to see these cameras. Like you said, my Nest Doorbell works just fine with this display.
Couple of questions! I saw that you can change the clock face settings. For any of the clock faces, can you set lettering to red? Also, for the alarm (I'm assuming there is one), can you set it to play your Pandora or Spotify instead of a more traditional beep?
My Nest doorbell camera does not stream on the Smart Clock 2! Is it because I'm in Canada, the firmware is different? The Smart Clock says it can't not stream this device and when the doorbell rings, it announces but shows a no video symbol. What gives? Updated firmware eliminated this feature? It's January 2023. False advertisement?

I picked this thing up in the clearance aisle at Walmart and thank God I got two of them for $11 apiece because if I would've paid anything more, I would've been upset I mean maybe 20 bucks wouldn't have been bad apiece but if you paid 5060 or $80 like I've seen these things going for and I feel bad for you because while it's a good little alarm clock, it's not worth that kind of money because it doesn't do Jack Dilly. It's cool and has a little couple features, but They overpriced this when they released it
Question: Hi gregg I don't know if u know about this or not but it's weird the charger I got with they galaxy watch 4 classic charges air pod but doesn't charge ear buds considering they both support wireless charging I don't get it why does they galaxy watch charger charges air pods but not galaxy buds kinda a disappointment for real.
Can this clock set multiple alarms with the ability to toggle days you don't want it going off? Like I want my days off to go off later and the days I work to go off earlier
The only way to set music alarm is through voice activation and not the Alexa mobile app. The music alarm just plays whatever Spotify song I was playing last rather than the song or playlist that I actually selected.
I just got one at Walmart for $24. But mine did not come with a charging plate on the bottom. But it did come with a Smart Light bulb. I need to research that. Not sure what it is
I can't connect my clock to my speakers via bluetooth, just my cell phone which is a bummer bc my Alexa clock always had bluetooth paired with them. Anyone else having this issue or have a solution?
Through the Google home app you can assign the device a 'media speaker'. So it will still reply to voice commands from the on board speakers, then for media it plays from Bluetooth. Perfect setup
this clock SUCKS! its a low iq google nest mini. im not kidding. ask it what is sheppards pie is? oh no comment? ask it a gain? still no comment? yeah my nest mini will answer this question
dude stop saying "hey google" that shit is annoying as hell all my devices start waking up, you need to bleep it out when making reviews for these products
Good video but stop saying “hey google “ you made my assistant go nuts lol

I’m about to buy it from wal mart with my discount to
Do you know how to make a call from it. I just got mine today also for cheap
Well, definitely smarter than its predecessor. When these tech giants like Lenovo, Google and Mediatek collaborate, the product has to be great.

Good video! I have one question, can you edit your alarm sound? I like to input songs of my choice as an alarm to wake up better.
Yes you can. There are a dozen or so tones, plus you can get woken up by streaming music, piano or Google AI will choose a song.

Common issue for all smart displays/speakers
You can adjust sensitivity of various home devices in the Google home app

Haha, mine kept going off too. Told me the score of that latest game. Lol
After the 4th trigger of my assistant I'm now turing off this video.
Does your clock still work with your nest doorbell? I have the regular smart clock and it says it can't show my nest doorbell battery....
Are the alarm loud enough, can we select custom alarm sound?
Small note but maybe consider bleeping out "Hey Google" so people aren't dealing with their devices picking it up
Smart it is and great thing for the living rooms. Love the new mediatek chipset and the wireless charging support with the device.
Hello , about the wireless stand charger , if i charge the phone , it have to have a special case on it? Or can I charge it with a normal case?
When it's setup can u add it to a audio group like u can with the regular Google speakers like the nest mini

Does it have a camera that you can use as a security device?
Is the wirelessly charger included?
Does the alarm work if there is an internet outage or power outage?

i wonder why the clock on the iphone said 10:50 and the smart clock said 10:52 - which one is correct?
Do you know how to change it from military time to 12 hour? I can’t figure it out.
amazing smart home device from Lenovo and mediatek

Yes it does.

Is it possible to put on alarm without sound ? Just that it lights up ?
You could make a sound file that is just silence...(generate a tone in audacity, but have it be no sound)
Set that as your alarm sound. presto.
I like the vid! The smart Clock 2 is a top launch. It has got decent features along with the mediatek processor.
Cool vid but don't appreciate the trigger words
